Jose Rodrigo Arechiga Gamboa, AKA El Chino Ántrax, grew up in Culiacán, Sinaloa, was friends with the Zambadas, he went to work for their father known as El Mayo, leader of the Sinaloa Cartel.

Arechiga Gamboa, became the leader of Sinaloa Cartel’s enforcers, El Ántrax.

Today he was sentenced in a San Diego Federal Court to 7 years plus a few months

He was arrested in December 2013, by Interpol at the Amsterdam Airport, as he prepared to exit the plane, and was extradited to United States.

Matthew Sutton U.S. Attorney says, as part of the plea, he forfeited $1 million.

The court was under extreme security with each person having to pass two metal detectors.

While speaking to the court, dressed in prison orange uniform;

“I’m truly ashamed.  I promise you I will never again do wrong.  I would like to be able to work honestly.” He says he would like to go into home remodeling and construction.

He also gain further notoriety with social media platforms attributed to him, with images of his flamboyant  lifestyle.  His face always blurred in the images.

With time served, and credit for good behavior, [54 days per year] he could be released in short time.

    1. Was Chino not one of the CDS leadership-approved snitches? Funny that Chino apparently has a green light on him, but Vecintillo, Rey Zambada, etc. are out publicly testifying against Chapo and it’s all good. What did Chino give up? Maybe some trafficking networks in California?

    1. Wtf is wrong with those prosecutors, judges!? Don't they see those animals have been murdering thousands of people with their acts of violence, drugs like meth, fentanyl!?

Explanation, they definitely got bribed, snitch chapo could not bribe any prosecutor, judge in NY they gave him life sentence.

California is full of sh**, they got one of the most corrupted law enforcement in the nation, they even let zombies walk with meth on them damn streets like if it's nothing, no wonder the sinaloa rat got less than 8 years! Dumb mothafuckas!!!

    5. A topic many should ask government officials in the US. Why? Where US criticism towards Mexico's lack of judicial justices are being displayed with lienenci here too. However, don't expect to get a straightforward answer for why governments do what they do.

Citizens are only a distraction and a of non-concern. Has been and always will be.

    6. Take it from someone that has been through “the American judicial process”! Point blank for prosecutors it’s all about stats, conviction rates if you will. Chino Either he debriefed or they really didn’t have a solid case on him!? When the second thing mentioned happens they will come at you with a low ball deal! So you take some time and they will tell you “ you either take this little time so it justifies our investigation or take it to trial and we will give you 20 years if you loose! Your choice no matter what they get their conviction THAT is all they care about Stats

    3. No doubt he will be in WITSEC and under the protection of the FBI. El Vicentillo will be as well.

      Delete

Keep in mind that prosecutors and judges have to follow written protocol regardless if the felon is legal or illegal. He will be deported after without supervision but they still must state protocol, awkward but don't lose sleep over it.

Definitely, his capture in 2013 led the way for law enforcement to understand the CDS leadership's decision making processes and their inner workings. Prior, Sinaloa's leadership and membership was a guarded secret which allowed it to remain at the top of the food chain. After his capture, the dominoes starting falling to the eventually capture of many of its top leadership.
