Sinaloa Cartel says they are responsible for killing Colombian politician

The Sinaloa cartel has allegedly claimed responsibility for the killing of Colombian regional election candidate Karina Garcia this month, as reported by Pulzo.

A car carrying Karina Garcia, a Liberal Party candidate in the municipality of Suarez in Cauca Province, the politician's mother, three local activists, and a candidate for the municipal council, was reportedly shot at on 2 September while it was driving on a highway in the mountainous region, before being set on fire.

Colombian authorities have previously alleged that the killing was carried out by the leader of the dissident FARC group, which has been increasingly active in the area.

However, a pamphlet circulating around the city of Suarez since the start of September has claimed that it was El Chapo’s Sinaloa cartel that carried out the brutal assassinations due to Garcia’s apparent refusal to cooperate with the group.

The pamphlet, the authenticity of which has yet to be proven, also contained threats directed at other local politicians who might try to interfere in the activities of the group, stating that “the massacres will not keep happening” if the government works “properly” with the group.

In July 2019, a US court sentenced Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman to life in prison on a range of charges, including drug trafficking and money laundering, placing him in a US maximum security prison.

  1. Columbia needs to question its sovereignty if it's going to let a Mexican cartel threaten the Columbian government. If that doesn't galvanize their resolve, then they are milk toast.

  2. Why would CDS need to whack a Colombian govt official and then claim responsibility!? Sounds like something a rival cartel would cook up. Could be a rival govt official, maybe even the CIA. Possibilities are endless!

    1. so the Sinaloan Cartel didn't actually say they were responsible for killing anybody, a pamphlet circulating said so, and must have been signed 'Sincerely, El Chapo', so every one knew from where and whom it originated.
If you take a step back and squint through the chaos and carnage you can see the lines on the chessboard and who's playing who.

  4. Another case of the cartel wanting politicians to work together with them. They tried to make be curupt, but no luck in her saying yes, will that country arrest the cartel or are they the same as MEXICO and do nothing?

    1. @6:10 dude u r clueless!

'Terrorist' is only used to hype the sheep into a mindless frenzy as an excuse for blanket US government action (mass murder, mass surveillance, mass fraud etc).

The US government has no interest in getting involved in the WoD down south as it is rolling on just according to plan.
