The sounds of war in Tepalcatepec Michoacan

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

People of the municipality of Tepalcatepec in Michoacán reported through social networks several gun battles among organized crime groups.

The shootings occurred with high-power weapons and the use of fragmentation grenades was also detected.

Multiple videos were posted by residents of the city on social media, which represent the intense fighting including the sounds of grenades.

The Tepalcatepec Citizen Participation Council through its Facebook account asked the villagers not to leave their homes.

  1. Hold tight North American addicts. Your drugs are coming! These guys just need to settle their differences to ensure your deliveries are made.

    1. Lol, like no one else in the world has a drug problem? I remember a party I went to in MZT on the outskirts of town. EVERYONE was doing coke. If all the U.S. stopped doing drugs today, this problem would still exist. And if the whole world stopped, they would just focus on a different commodity (piracy, extorcion, human trafficking, natural resources, exotic animals, etc, etc.)

    2. That’s a stupid comment. So everything happening in Mexico can only be blamed on the US? GTFOH!!

    3. Pointless to blame the US. Mexico is a failed narco state solely by it's own fault.

    9. 307 everything is the USAs fault. Anytime a snowflake gets a flat tire or their feelings are hurt then it must be Trump's fault. Tranquilo junior, don't read into everything so seriously.

--There is plenty of reports, books, and witnesses which point fingers at the US and the smoking guns in their hands, specially those in charge of Operating The Merida Initiative that got 3 billion dollars a year for the "war ON drugs" in Mexico for the last 12 years. FACTS, NOT RANTS!

    16. Lol Chivis, you won’t accept my comment calling Sol’s comment childish, I said half his other comments were brilliant, why would you not post that?

      Delete
    17. I would have to say that isn't a complete and accurate statement. If you are saying its entirely the fault of the u.s. and our appetite for drugs, you're not reading the articles you and the rest at bb post. What about the battles for local drug sales in Veracruz, Mexico city? fuel theft, extortion, kidnapping, human trafficking. Those seem to be Mexico problems. I respectfully disagree with your comment.

Sol is a valuable component to our BB team. No where will you be able to read in English what video narrative is. Or slang filled mantas.

When he wasn't a contributor this comment would not have raised an eyebrow. be respectful, state your argument --- those comments not making the page, you know why

SOL IS RIGHT, DRUGS HAVE NEVE FAILED TO MAKE IT HOME TO THE US.
By different senders or after getting rescued by the rightful owners, it is not like Sol who is one more mariguano is the one fixing it like this, there are more banksters in the middle than law enforcement with the size needed to stop it.
Hundreds of billions of banksters' dollars are in the middle, or the US and the world economy tanks after all their daily loses to evade tax and tariff payments by everybody.

    1. 2:57 no problem if las Menchas get gotten by their putas nachas, but the people of Jalisco never had these problems so generalized all over the state, until Jaliska governor Enrique Alfaro "Came To Power", he was VERY CJNG FRIENDLY all through his political career and was star ass kisser all the way through.
(like javier "La Marrana" Duarte was friendly with the Zetas of Fidel Herrera Beltran until he got to power on the shoulders and money of CJNG)
ENRIQUE ALFARO AND HIS BUDDIES should answer for everything that happens under his watch. SERGIO KURT SCHMIDT COULD MAKE A GOOD WITNESS just to protect his son and the new Guadalajara Mayor he wants to make governor of Jalisco after Alfaro goes Home.
--As presidente municipal of Tlajomulco before being presidente municipal of Guadalajara, Alfaro was the biggest huachicolero in Jalisco where they counted about 1200 illegal taps, nobody supplied PEMEX gas stations but Alfaro's huachicoleros, Alfaro has been accused of colluding with narcos and under his presidency in Tlajomulco drug trafficking and labs proliferated like never before, no excuses.

    3. 4:45 Sinaloa Plaza is profitable as Colombia itself, they both are stagging areas for shipping fayuca home to the US, but Colombia has the gulf of Mexico Islands, even Cuba, plus seven US Military bases and hundreds of men deployed with the Colombian army and national guard and polesia Nazional de Colombias. Business must be bursting through their panties, Colombia has replaced Cuba since fidel took over the island for his communist experiment and then fidel and Raul chose to side with the good guys since they together assassinated el Che Guevara to prove loyalty to the US, let's not forget drug trafficking and contra madrina Felix Ismael Rodriguez Mendigutia relayed the orders to kill el Che in Bolivia to his murderers. Back then he was still associated with Klaus Barbie, Carlos Lehder and Pablo Escobar before Juan Ramon Matta Ballesteros started selling pupusas in Honduras.
Mexico has always had its big piece of the cake, but doesn't own much of it, mostly some transportation to compete with the Florida and Tejas Mafias, even Moskow Mitch McConney alias "speaker of the senate" has bragged about his family ties to cocaine trafficking.

  16. Sol, that is a poor call. The US does a ton of drugs and the demand is there, absolutely. That said, Mexico does a ton as well. These fights aren't about who gets to ship drugs, it's about who controls the flow in a given area. Who sells locally..taxed. Who ships north...taxed. Wherever the $ is, they war. Not a north/south issue, a "worst of the species" issue. A judgement stating one country is to blame is ignorant and arrogant, hands down. You know there is a whole host of contributing factors which have no easy solution, and no solution at all while the parties profiting dictate the rules. This doesn't happen without cooperation on multinational levels. Don't try to lay blame on a specific region, you know better and are better than this.

The war ON drugs effectively took down some big capos, divided their cartels, corrupted governments, got more, businesses, destabilized the country, and stole their business and routes,
and that is all there was about.
DESTABILIZATION makes a lot of money to the intrigant instigators.

  26. To blame the United States for all of Mexcio’s woes , is just as Intellectually dishonest as blaming only Mexico for her problems. The European cocaine market is larger then the U.S at this time in history. And let’s not forget the meth market in Asia is huge and growing yearly as they become more advanced economies. But to be sure, there are no innocent parties in this disaster, except perhaps the honest hardworking citizens of Mexico, which are the biggest victims in this disaster IMHO.
