El Menchito "Aquitted" of Organized Crime ordered released

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat Material from elimparcial, Vanguardia

However he will remain in prison for now

The son of the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), won another battle in court.

Rubén Oseguera González, alias “El Menchito”, was acquitted Wednesday by the eighth judge of the District of Federal Criminal Proceedings of the state of Jalisco, José Reynoso.

The prosecutor ordered the immediate release of the son of "El Mencho", leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.

The son of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes is imprisoned at the Federal Center for Social Readaptation (Cefereso) number 15 with headquarters in Villa Comaltitlán, Chiapas. He still has to fight other crimes.

The Attorney General's Office can appeal the judge's decision, however, until yesterday afternoon he had no knowledge of this decision.

“El Menchito”, also known as “El Junior”, 2 or 02, was captured in July 2015 in Zapopan.

Allegedly, he is financial operator of the cartel headed by his father; he also faces other crimes such as money laundering.

  4. I wonder if the attorney general will allow his release. He's been busted for about 4 years and Mencho could have seemingly gotten his release accomplished by now. I think he might have something up his sleeve. Maybe hes getting him out so he can act freely and not allow his enemies to kill his son for things he will do now. Interesting, thanks Chivas.

    1. I was thinking along the same line. Mencho knew his only weakness was junior being in jail, especially one controlled by CDS. Now, he might go full throttle against Los Chapitos.

    4. @2:52. I imagine it is because in the US the kids can still go to school, you call the police and they actually show up, citizens aren't road blocked and robbed on the way into town, and most people can go outside at night.

    5. @8:07. My kids all go to school - 9 in Mexico and 2 USA. I drive and fly many times every year from Cosalá to Mazatlán, to Culiacán, GDL, Torreón, Saltillo, Leon and other cities where I spend my time in Mexico and in every city there are working police and they show to clubs when there is fight, or at homes when child becomes hurt, when old man becomes sick, and normal things like they do in Dallas y San Antonio. I have been at maybe 100 roadblocks in my life and we always go through y no hay problem. Tonight as every Saturday (and Tuesday, Sunday and Friday nights) I am outside drinking with friends and there are too many girls to count. Beautiful, beautiful girls. Yes here in Mexico right now and tonight at La Cervecería del Ángel Ciudades in Culiacán i will drink until morning sun and then we will eat mariscos and drink micheladas until 1pm before we sleep.
My point my friend is that you do not realize life still goes on in Mexico. Same with business and business is good for many people here - narco, farm, trade, construction, everything is good and if you want to work there is work. Some people work to get Americans the drogas they do so much of and pay very good for, and other peoples here are simple and only do clean work. Why don’t you look at the problems with adictos and people randomly shooting innocents as they do every month (or maybe week) in EU; and the people that play in drug business here will accept their risk and do as they do.
Don’t believe USA is “high and mighty” because it’s not. Your politicos are corrupt too but they do in more formal manners with your opioid problem, foreclosure thefts by banks, etc.
      Saludos! CDM

    6. @10:36, bullshit! I'm 1/2 tapatío and spend 3 months of the year in Jalsico. You are full of shit, at least as it relates to Jal. While I am returning to visit family, I know longer bring my children. Way too scary. Every trip to the coast is an absolute pucker fest. Yes it is beutiful (apart from the litter) and the women are beautiful, but you, "my friend" are delusional if you think Mex is safe, comparable at all to States, and narco business is good business. Sure glad my mother moved when she did.

    7. @2:52. I lived my normal life and night of Saturday to Sunday and maybe say a fist fight but no guns. Police stop me but I think it was 500 Mexican and they help me where we drive. We finish eat and drink now as we do always but my time to sleep is coming so I can do again martes when I go with my friends in Mazatlán.
Viva Mexico y los Estados Unidos! With much sincere I say muchos gracias USA for the never to be satisfy demand for everything your peoples must have from Mexico!
Buenos noches y nos vemos when it is our time! Arre lulu! CDM

  13. What a joke. It's shit like this that makes me almost hopeless for Mexico. Without the rule of law, where the guilty are held accountable for their actions regardless of their social status or wealth or connections, there will never be an end to the corruption that keeps Mexico stuck in an endless cycle of violence and insecurity. Unbelievable.

  19. Obviously el Menchito is innocent. To arrest and jail him is a calculated attack against El Senor Mencho. CDS is not behind this because el Senor Mayo does not believe in attacking families according to the old school. I hope el Senor Sicario 006 will have mercy on Menchito after his team evacuates el Senor Chapo from the Colorado Supermax. El Senor Sicario 006 you are our only hope. Animo Gente Nueva!
