Fr. Solalinde blames Without Borders NGO for migrant mess, "It was done to provoke Trump"

Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat from Frontera and SinEmbargo
Solalinde accuses NGO of deceiving migrants;  He says  that he was deceived along with the Central American and Mexican migrants, the caravan brought polleros and armed persons to the city. Here the negative actor is the organization, Pueblo Sin Fronteras, says Fr. Solalinde.

There is no greater champion for Central American migrants; Alejandro Solalinde Guerra is a Mexican Catholic priest and human rights activist. He is the coordinator of the South Pacific Human Mobility Ministry of the Mexican Bishopric and director of "Hermanos en el Camino", a shelter that provides Central American migrants with humanitarian aid and education.

The priest and activist Alejandro Solalinde Guerra accused the civil organization Pueblo Sin Fronteras (Town Without Borders) for bringing the Central American migrant caravan to Tijuana to provoke the anti-immigrant policies of US President Donald Trump.

"They ( Pueblo Sin Fronteras)  are going to cause problems, as they are causing it internationally between the United States and Mexico, when in reality there was no need.

"But also something very cagey: they played Donald Trump, they do it, and the proof is the impact, how they arrived; it was irrational, taking them to where there is no solution, where right now you cannot fix papers, " he told the journalism portal SinEmbargo.

In an interview, Solalinde Guerra criticized that he was deceived along with the Central American and Mexican migrants, the caravan brought polleros and armed persons to the city.

"Here is a negative actor is Pueblo Sin Fronteras, which has been dedicated to hauling people through caravans, they caravanned this migrant exodus.
"They should not have done it, because they are activists, some are extremists, but above all I do not think they do it out of love for art, that's what I think," he said.

The migrants from Central America celebrated their first week in Tijuana, have shown their desperation to meet the leaders who brought them to begin their process of humanitarian asylum in the United States.

In this regard, José María García Lara, coordinator of the Migrant Alliance Tijuana, said he has also noticed the absence of Pueblo Sin Fronteras.

"We already realized that this group is not taking charge. It is very unfortunate that they really do not take responsibility for something that is gradually become out of control," speaking about the demonstration that the migrants held in the Garita de El Chaparral.

Pueblo Sin Fronteras says that they are not the organizers of the caravan, of which other organizations think otherwise, we say Pueblo Sin Fronteras is the organizer," he said.

García Lara said that his approach with the international organization began in the caravans of 2017 and the first of 2018.
The alliance provided its shelters to 300 people from the May 2017 exodus; then in November for another 300. And in March 2018 it also supported 300 Central Americans.

"These people do not really have enough information. Since they came to the border this movement has not had a leader, we do not know now who is heading them.

Right now we can see that there is no one in charge, different groups move with different people that encourage them to move to one place or another, but there is no leadership," he said.

And about the migrants he also noticed that they are confused as to how to enter the United States legally, which has aroused the anger of the citizens of Tijuana, including the authorities.

About the organization

Chicago, IL
Type:
Illegal Immigration Advocacy Organization
Founder:

Executive Director:
Emma Lozano

Founding
Elvira Arellano is listed as the president of La Familia Latina Unida. According to IRS filings, La Familia Latina Unida failed to file a Form 990 tax return for three consecutive years and had its 501(c)(4) tax exemption revoked in May 2017. Its current IRS tax status is unknown. However, the organization continues to operate as a nonprofit, according to filings with the Illinois Secretary of State.
In 1997, Arellano entered the U.S. illegally and was deported to Mexico by U.S. authorities. She successfully entered the country illegally again within days of her arrest, and lived three years in Oregon before moving to Chicago, where she was arrested in 2002 for working under a false Social Security number.  Following Arellano’s arrest, the Centro Sin Fronteras formed La Familia Latina Unida to protest her arrest; around this time, Arellano joined the Centro.  As of March 2017, Arellano has been granted a stay of deportation by a U.S. immigration court.

Arellano was sentenced to three years’ probation and ordered to appear before an immigration court in 2006; instead, Arellano fled to the Adalberto United Methodist Church in Chicago, where she was considered a fugitive from U.S. law. an style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Pueblo Sin Fronteras and La Familia Latina Unida formerly shared the same Chicago address (2716 W. Division St, Chicago, Illinois 60622), which is the same address as the Adalberto United Methodist Church Arellano sheltered in from U.S. immigration authorities.

  2. Good article. Also

The UN and billionaire globalist George Soros are the driving forces behind the massive migrant caravan marching to the U.S. southern border, according to reports.

As with the previous caravan that sprung up last spring, the open borders group Pueblo Sin Fronteras, which is connected to Soros’ Open Society Foundation, is involved with organizing the caravan of 4,000, and the leader of the group was arrested Thursday for attacking Mexican immigration agents.

It was just a small bunch of people who lied to em and lured em to the us-border. They tried play Donald but played those migrants instead.

    3. I could not find proof that Soros DIRECTLY funded these groups, Pueblo Sin Fronteras and La Familia Latina Unida who shared the same Chicago address (2716 W. Division St, Chicago, Illinois 60622), which is the same address as the Adalberto United Methodist Church.

However your statement that this is a small group of a few people is 100 false. They have a sister affiliation.
They receive funds from multiple corporations through The Forum, whose contributors include The Ford Foundation, and Rockefeller Foundations. It is a catch all donation forum that is a way to shroud donations as direct foundations would. It is most likely the reason why this org did not file income tax as all 501C4 NP orgs are required to do, and as I do each year for mine. Their lack of filing cost the org their NP status. Which btw takes a couple of years and a mountain of paperwork.

American Friends Service Committee seeks and takes donations on line and phone for the group. They have received several grants

They have been affiliated with the Hispanic groups LULAC and “DREAMers”

TO me it doesn’t matter who funds them as much as what their actions have been, what they promised the migrants, expenditures, and objective.

What they have done bringing thousands of now displaced people to the U.S. border, spending countless millions in food, transportation to urge migrants along, costing mexico millions in medical and clean up, hundreds of missing migrants etc etc etc should be a crime.

    4. Chivis: Great post, as usual. I checked out on some of the things you mentioned.
From what I am learning, I stand by my "puppet masters" POV. Actually, George Soros may not have clear ideas of what other groups and people in them are doing with his billions. His grandiose visions may get corrupted when the money flows in incompetant or evil hands.

I wonder if George Soros isn't a victim of too much money and loss of control to nefarious greedy other. ???
      Thanks Chivis!!!

    1. Agreement? Rather, what's stipulated in the US constitution for asylum seekers.
The US has to abide to the laws regardless of political views.
The supreme court overturned Trumps attempt to halt any such measures to not grant asylum.
A legal battle which the ACLU and other legal organizations are taking presidence.
Funny thing is that despite the overturned decision of family separation. The Trump administration placed full responsibility to the ACLU to find and reunite families of those undocumented immigrants. Not government!

As will Obamas catch and release executive order ( illegal by tge way ) will be null and void. Trumps abiding by the laws. Its the ILLEGALS who aren't. Get your facts straight before posting.

    I have.
Those who encourage others to protest should be on the front lines, not in the back, hiding behind the vunerables.

  6. It was obvious that someone had told them they could come to the US... and it was also obvious that it was to annoy Trump. They didn't expect for Trump to take extreme measures, and they didn't expect for so many Mexicans to side with Trump on the issue. Lol! I really don't think they will be let in at all. They will remain in Mexico waiting for their cases to be revised. Let's see what TJ does about it... What a time to be alive, lmao

  7. I find it incredibly hard to believe that this migrants coming in caravans would really think that the USA would just open its doors to them. Anyone with common sense would know that the political climate in the USA should not and will not allow this to happen. The USA should learn from the Marielito boatlift crisis in 1980 when Fidel Castro let the most undesirable people of his country flee to Florida. Among those Cuban refuges were some of Cuba's most hardened Tony Montana-type criminals.

    1. Your life experience is different. they were fed a sack of BS by the NGO, read the post. they were told the org would help them fill out the paperwork in Tijuana, that they would get into the U.S. and it would be free of charge. yes in the group as the priest says were bad people, 5 to 7 hundred known. that is a big number. and they came with guns. BUT most people are hardworking hopefuls who were deceived. then abandoned. Mexico has offered help, jobs, medical etc. i wish an NGO would go in an offer transportation back to their home countries. I do that on a small scale in my foundation, and find that about 15-20% will go back if they had the money to go. but these people are much more desperate ... it is not an easy turn around. it is part bus and part train. airfare is too costly.

it would be cost effective if the U.S. as a humanitarian gesture, one time only... funded their transport back. apx 5-700 airfare one way areomexico. Mexico probably would be happy to share cost

Despite the perils of so many migrants and with no avail to gain asylum. Many from many political sides bear blame.

1:Those migrant organizers for political purposes.
2: Mexican authorities for not enforcing their own immigration policies and laws.
3: US government for not budging to soften their stance on immigration policies and laws.

the abandonment of the migrants by these low lifes shows it was never about "love" as Solalinde says but only about politics.

      Delete
    7. " the abandonment of the migrants "??? They are economic migrants who should do it legally. Your support for them illegally crossing borders is wrong chivis.

    8. take your blinders off and pay attention 4:19. people like you find a few words that support your position and overlook all the important details of a conversation.

I absolutely do not support illegal immigration for many reasons that I have commented about. But my sense of humanity does not vanish with my position. Trickery was used on these people and then the culprits disappeared for others to deal with the aftermath. that is wrong.

either we help now or pay later. Desperate times desperate measures. Narco are there waiting to kidnap, force or recruit for their use. some will make it across by hook, crook or payment plan. there is no leading force to help these people. it is an opportunity to step in and help them return to their country.

Yes, a tiny amount actually qualify for amnesty, and those people well know how the process works. these people are in fact economic migrants.

You can stay on your side of black and white position and never improve or accomplish anything. It is not black and white, it is gray, complicated, and set in long outdated legislation.

      Delete
    9. Only it is black and white... you come illegally you get deported. Its really that simple. If the law was followed and ENFORCED this would end over night. But I agree with most of what you said. And I can stay with my view and still accomplish and improve things. They are not mutually exclusive.
Respectfully disagree with you here. Much respect for your hard work.

  13. As is common with mass human behavior, things may start out in planned "rational" directions then something not factored in the plans, things go way off plans even into dangerous chaotic direction(s). This is known as the law of "unintended Consequences".

Sometime corrective actions make matters worse ... like pouring gasoline on a fire. Masses of people often follow "born in the crowd" agent provocateurs who take advantage of the new realities. Mob mentality arises ... with the mob seemingly taking on a life of its own where no given individual is able to control it.

I fear that the CA caravan is experiencing the unintended consequences process leading to scenarios nobody could have predicted. Probably only a few people saw far enough ahead to predict what might happen when the CA caravan invaded Mexico and masses of Mexicans reacted negatively.

Now I await with dire apprehension for things to get further out of "rational" control if there is violence at the border. The media (Mexican, US, other) will play a big part in either quelling things or in actually making things worse. Rational decent people will be caught up in a mob mentality monster they will not be able to control except with extreme measures ... like new weapons of crowd control.

I am a pessimist by nature . I could be wrong, but things are going to get real ugly soon. I hope I am wrong.

  18. The politically motivated caravan, with dotted-line funding path from Pueblo sin Fronteras back to the Annenberg Foundation which is a known Soros front, will be the defining moment of the Trump presidency. We have all seen the MS13 members stacking signs in the pictures but the complicit media will only show the very few children who are being used as shields. You know we have our own people among them. POTUS knows what's really happening. But dealing with the reality will be a public relations custer-fluck. The organizers will line the children up in front and rush the border in numbers.

He and many others behind the scenes are creating this migration crisis and exploiting it to its full extend all for political gain. in fact it shouldn't be called a migration crisis at this point bc the border has always had people from all over central america trying to cross over its just sad that these politics from both sides are exploiting this and screwing the people over
