Guanajuato: 58 killed in 6 days

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat from Super Channel 12 and Milenio

Most of the victims were killed by armed commandos. 4 minors included

León, Gto.-  In Guanajuato, during the last five days of the month of August, 58 intentional homicides were recorded in various registered events, mostly in municipalities in the south of the state.

Just on Monday there were 11 executions of people and on Tuesday began the 72 most critical hours, which left a total of 42 murders. Most of these killings  were the result of armed attacks that witnesses said were led by armed groups aboard trucks or vehicles, who chased and killed their victims.

Among those killed were four minors, victims of attacks: one of 11 year old,  who was shot and killed with his father and another person, while they were tilling the land in an ejido of Pueblo Nuevo; another of 14 and one of 17, who were assaulted by gunmen in Apaseo el Alto, where four other people died, and another  17 year old, who together with his brother, were gunned down in a home in Acambaro. Their own mother reported the death of their children.

Seven were these people killed were women, one of them, Viviana "N", who last Tuesday was in the bus stop of the colony Cerrito de Jerez, Leon, and was shot, during a confrontation between armed individuals who were still inside two vehicles.

The victims also include a traumatologist and professor at the University of Guanajuato (UG), Gerardo Gabriel Macías, who was killed on Wednesday afternoon in the colony of Urbivalle del Roble in León, as well as the director of Social Development and elected councilor of the municipality of Cortazar, Agustín Banda.

Last Friday, the day closed with five murders, four deceased men  whose bodies were abandoned in buildings or roads in Valle de Santiago, León, Tarimoro and Acámbaro.

This Saturday, on a dirt road near the Salvatierra-Yuriria highway, the body of a man was found who was shot to death..

  1. Mencho's elite sicarios putting in work, killing the target along with their sons. Sad how Mexico has turned out. Many reasons but the main one is U S appetite for drugs

    1. Stop blaming your own country and perpetuating that BS. These people choose this life because they are motivated by greed. Millions of people live honestly in Mexico and don't push drugs no matter how much the whole world wants drugs. CJNG became the most wealthy Cartel in the world by focusing on markets outside of the US.

    2. Oh shut up thats why we are in this situation. Its never our fault always somone else.If the U.S stopped using drugs over night Europe would still be there along with Asia,S.America,Canada,Australia and the local Mexican Menudeo.Kidnapping is also part of the Narco buisness as well as gas theft and extortion from OUR OWN PEOPLE.So please stop blamimg the Gringos only!P.s Lots of the coke being consumed here in the states is used by Mexican Americans. Not all but a lot.

    3. A lot of the violence is due to drug sales in Mexico. Also the extortions, kidnappings, petrol theft etc. America loves its drugs, but the Mexicans became a victim of supply creating demand. Its usually demand creates supply, like in US. Crazy how many Mexicans got hooked. Only certain groups traffic drugs to US, the rest of these sick cells of sicarios prey on their own countrymen. Mexican people never had much of a problem back when certain groups trafficked drugs to US. It was our problem that we were a country of addicts. It didn't affect the majority of Mexicans. How times have changed for the worse. So sad!

    4. 4:29=I think someone is selling their drugs in Mexico and everywhere at that. Can't blame the US anymore. It's now a domestic problem.Someone is keeping the local drug dealers in business.

    5. I agree with the "Mencho's Elite sicarios" part. This is what Mencho did to La resistencia. He massacred them and their families, forcing them out of the state. This is his M.O.

    6. In the case of drug trafficking, SUPPLY CREATED THE DEMAND.
The US had Colombia, and before that BOLIVIA in their pocket, supplying drugs to the US in cahoots with Klaus Barbie the Butcher of Lyons later extradited to France where he died for his crimes against humanity when he was a nazi officer of hitler's, he became a rat line escapee thanks to some US "intelligence" operators like convicted mass murderer Henry kissinger, Cuba was seduced by drug trafficking to help the effort of making the US a drug traffickers paradise, with the Castros sending cuban air force general Arnaldo Ochoa to the firing squad "to save La Revolución" and pay him back for being a war hero in Angola, now a colony of world capitalists again.
Remember, US drug supply created the demand and corrupted millions of now despised drug addicts, millions of which are dead of course, included now millions of innocents wrongly accused but used as Falsos Positivos by their own criminal drug trafficking governments like colombia's alvaro uribe velez.
--Check CNN for some enlightening documentary today, about iran/ contra, and then go to Gary Webb and American Made, the movie starring Tom Cruise to find somebody else to blame for drug trafficking...

    7. Everyone knows that's the reason cartels were created, to traffic drugs up north. Now of course the Mexican population is using too.

  2. All this for control of stealing petro from a pipeline leading into central mexico. Cjng menso is garbage af. Poor people of leon have to deal with this because of tweekers from michoacan who are getting their tweek pushed to the sidelines by Cholo.

    1. Pipeline theft is very big business. Steady income, doesn’t really attract federal government attention, and the populations affected usually support the endeavor (everyone loves cheap gas).

    2. Wont get you as much money then dealing but it's less risky

    3. 7:37 pipeline theft is also the property of politicians, military and polesias, huachicoleros do not own their business 100% because there is a death sentence for them if caught.

    4. @12:25 that’s true for the huachicoleros that don’t have agreements with their local PEMEX reps. There have been many accounts of huachicoleros having such agreements in Tamps, Veracruz, Gto, etc.

    9. 3:10 PM any proof that CJNG is extorting legit businesses' in Jalisco? I haven't seen or heard any reports of them doing that. For example after the CT were eliminated from a town in Michaocan the NF or Viagras took over they started the Extortions again but eventually it took the Ex Templarios a few months to kick the Viagras out and stop extortion completely no one was paying piso unless they ran or were known to have made their wealth from criminal activity. These Templarios were taking orders from people close to Mencho in that part of Michoacán people that managed to survive the purges from the 2000s.

    10. Lol, making noise by hanging up mantas and making videos does not equate to taking over Mexico. You obviously have no idea of what's going on behind the scenes. Let's just say that the cartel who is not making noise (take a guess)..this will be the only cartel left in about 2 to 4 years under new agreement with AMLO. Keep this comment in your saved file section and remember to reflect back at this in 4 years. CJNG days are numbered. If you haven't noticed the multiple wars accross the country, which I'm sure you have... Take a guess who is funding this offensive against CJNG? This new pact (not mentioning names) but I'm a close source, has been in the making since The Viejon Chapo was extradited. Just watch and learn from the real bosses of the Mexican underworld. Plans been in motion since take down of El lic. How you think AMLO got elected? And mencho will be killed, not captured. Just sit back and get your popcorn ready......

  4. Is there a report on who are the victims and who are the suspected killers. Is it back and forth or one side attacking. Doesn’t seem like the targets are ever armed.

So are they innocent? Is this a broken truce? Is one side ill equipped? What’s going on here.
