Soldiers of the Mexican Army seized in the basement of a house in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, nearly $1,000, 900 US dollars and 130 kilograms of cocaine. The search was made after receiving an anonymous report about suspicious activities in a house marked with number 210.
They detail that after entering the site a movable floor of approximately 1.50 meters long and 60 centimeters wide was located, which was covered by two washing machines, which allowed its concealment.
This area was activated by an electromechanical mechanism, discovering that it faced a basement of about 12 square meters and 2 meters deep, in it was found:
130 packages of approximately one kilogram each of cocaine
1 barret rifle caliber 50 "
3 long guns
3 short weapons
100 cartridges of different calibers
6 chargers for rifle ar-15,
one charger for barret rifle caliber 50, as well as
$1,894,744 US dollars (one million eight hundred ninety-four thousand seven hundred thirty-six US dollars).
The secured drugs and money were placed at the disposal of a federal prosecutor's office based in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. The search took place in the framework of the northeast operation and it was not indicated if there were people arrested.
