At dawn, today, Dec 20, 2017 Six bodies were discovered hanging from bridges near both International Airports in the Municipalities of La Paz and Los Cabos, in
La Paz and in cabos airport corridor, see map below.

Two unidentified men
were discovered at the stroke of 6 am after security forces received notice
that their bodies were hanging from the bridge at the exit to the La Paz
International Airport, ie: Bridge Manuel Márquez de León en La Paz.
The narco mantas
have similar messages and nearly the
exact same language as the one left after the execution of Silvestre de la Toba
and his son, BCS State Human Rights Director in late November.

About 4:45 am in the municipality of Los Cabos, it was reported that in the Las Veredas neighborhood of San José del Cabo , there were 2 male people without life, hanging from the airport access bridge. This is the Exit from Transpeninsular #1 for Los Cabos International Airport.

after 5:00 am near Cabo San Lucas at marker kilometer 4.5, on the Bridge
Misiones de Cabo San Lucas on the Transpeninsular Highway #1 stretch between
Cabo San Lucas - San José del Cabo; two people were found dead hanging from the
bridge, also unidentified males.
The new Military Base which is under construction is very near there, which is being planned to house 2000 soldiers and Security Elements.

It is worth noting that this would be the first time that this type of event has occurred in Baja California Sur, because despite the wave of violence and executions that the state is currently going through, no bodies have ever been found hanging on bridges, a custom that is common in states such as Michoacán, Nayarit and Veracruz and the northern state of Baja California, especially in Tijuana .
The number of deaths by murder associated with Organized Crime and Narcomenudeo in the Municipality of Los Cabos is now 422; along the Municipality of La Paz, which is approximately 500, putting the death toll by criminal murder alone over 900, something unheard of in BCS, once considered a safe haven and Mexico's "Alaska".

DeleteI find it more than a little coincidental however that whatever violence might be occurring in Sinaloa, Sonora, and Durango for the most part is quiet and not publicly displayed. CDS is obviously going to enjoy a very profitable 4th quarter and 2018 while all the other neophytes are warring with each other and the government.

There is pretty much nothing uglier than than ugly Americanos or anyone else for that matter careening around in another country with no clue or interest in the language and culture , customs, or environment ,displaying their ignorance to anyone paying attention, irregardless of their particular interests. I am generalizing , of course. There is also nothing more rewarding than a human interaction with someone in another culture if one chooses. The class differences are only getting worse and the good of society will pay in the long run.

ReplyDelete1:00 They are only there for the weather.Of course a lot of people drink more on holidays.I'm sure a lot of Mexicans think people north of the border are real drunks because they only see them on holidays but not when they are workaholics back home.My attitude is if I want to drink and hang with a bunch of Canadians I will stay home or travel Canada which I have done.If I go to another country I want to interact with the locals and not be locked up in some compound where I can't.The only thing about doing that in Cuba is you have to shop in the tourist stores and if you go elsewhere you get followed by gov. but I agree so much more rewarding,you don't get bored and might learn something as well as makes you appreciate the democratic country you were born in.Also locals know the best places to eat which are always at reasonable prices!
