For the first time in 40 years: The Sinaloa Cartel has ceded territory to CJNG, Jalisco Nuevo Generacion Cartel, led by "El Mencho", according to a Narco Data Report.
According to NarcoData - an interactive site that presents an X-ray of the last four decades of criminal groups in Mexico - data from the Attorney General's Office (PGR) show that the Sinaloa Cartel activity declined in the country, with its presence in eleven states during 2016, now it is only in seven and with fewer operating cells in operation.
The microsite of the Political Animal portal attributes this diminution of the presence of the Sinaloa Cartel in the states of the country, since the extradition to the United States of its leader, Joaquin Archivaldo Guzmán Loera, aka "El Chapo", last January.
According to NarcoData: federal authorities have said that the extradition of "El Chapo" provoked reshuffling in the leadership of the group that he was running, as well as the advance of other criminal organizations such as the Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) Cartel, which, according to the data, is already the criminal group with more presence in the country.
NarcoData, who has registered the advance of the Sinaloa Cartel in the country since its inception in the 1980s, indicated that with "El Chapo", the criminal organization became the "most powerful" because it managed to extend its influence to 24 of the 32 entities/states of the country. "So far, no other organization has operated in so many states and has long resisted the onslaught of the federal government to weaken it."
With "El Chapo Guzman", the Sinaloa Cartel was the first criminal organization to successfully participate and lead in the trafficking of four drugs: marijuana, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine, states the NarcoData report. At the start of Enrique Peña Nieto's six-year term, Sinaloa Cartel was the organization with the most presence in the country, but according to PGR data, it lost almost half its area of influence, giving way to all but the northwestern states of the country , said NarcoData.
The latest official records show, for the first time in 40 years, that the Sinaloa Cartel lost some of its presence in the country. So far in 2017, the Sinaloa criminal organization has lost its presence in the Mexican Pacific area in states such as Colima, Nayarit and Jalisco, where it has ceded land to the CJNG. The Sinaloa Cartel has also stopped operating in the Yucatan Peninsula, according to information from the PGR about criminal organizations with operations in the country.
Where the Sinaloan criminal group still has activities is in the Mexican northwest with presence in the states of Chihuahua, Sonora, Durango, Coahuila, Baja California, Baja California Sur and Sonora. The Sinaloa Cartel's activity through criminal cells also declined; since 2015 there is data from up to ten criminal groups, but in the first four months of this year there are only records that the criminal group is related to seven: Los Artistas, Nueve Gente, Los Cabreras, the Cartel del Oeste; and the gangs in charge of "Los Achilles", "El Tigre" and "Del 28".
Guzman Loera was extradited to the United States on January 19, 2017 and was detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center, a federal prison in New York City. The extradition of the capo took place after three detentions and two escapes of maximum security Mexican prisons, between 2001 and 2015.
Prosecutors in charge of his case argue that there is enough evidence to prosecute the capo in the US for at least 17 separate crimes including money laundering, criminal conduct, conspiracy to produce and distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana; as well as the use of firearms for the commission of drug offenses.,

I'm willing to bet that these comments will devolve into shouting matches. Every time these two cartels interact the comments here get crazy. What other cartels are seizing land from CDS or is CJNG the only one?
ReplyDelete@7:45 maybe true. I know for a fact the AFO exercised it first & continues too. Keep the fame and attention. Meanwhile they continue to work unbothered.
Delete8:58; with exception of Chapos turf battles and earlier assasin attempts on AFO, CDS has operated this way for decades and Mayo and Azul are all about laying low and letting non-CDS plazas grab attn so theirs isn't in limelight. I happen to just know how CDS operates b/c been around it since 2003, and I'll just say that the profits and gross volume CDS is pushing today is light years beyond where they were in 2007 and 2008 when infighting started to get hot. No egos or fan club here...just someone whose watched it and knows it closer than I care to and I can say with 100% confidence and knowledge that none of the CDS puppet masters are hurting in Culiacan, Mazatlan, or Guadalajara. GUARANTEED
Delete6:44 And let me guess, you also know comandante perro. Not a fan club, yet your speaking like if your their publicist
Delete12:49; I could care less, but I do know.
Deletesome ploy from cds puppet masters... some crime families been pushing dope for decades, they started with the old farts from 'the old school' now the narco jrs push tons of dope & act like nothing is going on..
DeleteThis is all part of Sinaloas plan. Bring the heat onto someone else now. Sinaloa just keeps advancing.
ReplyDeleteWonder why they never report hits on CJNG on this site ,its like they favor them. Tecate Puebla, all over Mexico.
Mayo Keeps leading the team
You do make a valid point. FAKE NEWS?
DeleteInteresting theory!
We are all aware of propaganda tactics used to divert attention from matters of such.
Nevertheless, regardless of who or what?
The drug trafficking business has devastated families all over the world. Nothing good comes from it .
E42
6:09; exactly entertainment and shock factor is not CDS's MO; CDS is loving this report and paying a pretty penny to PGR to create the mirage.
DeleteBS. The same used to be said about everytime a capo from CDS was arrested - "Its all Chapos plan to avoid being arrested himself". This story is real. Artistas Asesinos in Juarez just lost their top boss there just early last week. He was arrested trying to execute an undercover cop. Prior to that they where robbing banks and even people at gunpoint. If they where so well off being with CDS why were they robbing people and banks at gunpoint is my question???
DeleteCDS is far from done but something doesn't seem right within the cartel lately no matter what nuthuggers say. I, notice these events living across from cd Juarez in TX FYI for all the skeptics out there.
CDS puppets are just like Trump puppets, quik to cry fake news whens theres evidence all around.
DeleteCDS scrotum surfers in Mexico are like Trumpeters here in the US. Every news report or news article is "FAKE NEWS" if your side is shown in a negative light or shown to be weakening. Anyone who has been following the drug war in Mexico longer than a few years know that CDS has lost a lot of influence and turf in Mexico. It happens to every DTO eventually.
DeleteFace it the King 👑 lost control of the Kingdom.
DeleteCheck the forum. It gets updated just as frequently as the main board. There are posts about the Puebla and Tecate hits.
Delete8:58; yes your 100% right, 100%! Now you and the other leisure spectators keep believing that while we do our work.
DeleteThanks 8:58 and keep diseminating your knowledge.
9:41; yeah and you certainly know better than those living life in Mexico and are a better judge of what's credible or not.
Delete9:41; you could not be more wrong. Seriously! CDS is stronger and operating with a stronger infrastructure than they've ever had. Amd you can beleedatt!
Deletemost likely some ploy to make the cjng look bigger than what they really is, cds got greedy traitors in all parts of the world pushing tons of dope, how many northern mx states are runned by the cjng?
Deletedoes narco data know how many greedy narco jrs are pushing dope under the radar?
Delete6:47 its always good to BO-lieve, El Chapo appreciates your support and nutthugging.
DeleteAtte: Cyber Thug Anthrax
6:47.I beleedat!
DeleteWe are two now.
@5:34 pinchi CDS muertos de hambre. Asaltando a gente inocente y robando bancos en Juarez. Quesque no danian a gente inocente. La verdad duele verdad?
Delete@5:35 been following this war for years and you act the tipical way CDS acts. Hide the truth and or silence or in this case try and silince those that talk, that way CDS always looks grand and people fear or are enticed to join it. "Let us work" you say! Pinche wanabe narco
Delete5:36 and 6:47 ask any US law enforcement officer or agent and you will get a similar response as my (9:41) above comment. I'm not using my opinion on whether CDS is losing influence I'm using facts. And the facts say CJNG is on the rise and CDS is on the decline.
DeleteRidiculous lol if cds was stronger than ever than answer this question.. why is sinaloa A WAR ZONE as we speak? Yes it's damasos vs. A cds faction. But there are families fighting families for control and leaving a lot of dead bodies. Not a fan of cjng or no other cartel but it's common knowledge for a regular bb reader that cjng is the strongest cartel now due in part to cds infighting and cjng expanding their territorie all over Mexico and South America.
Delete5:43 I bet you can't see beyond your nosy nose.
ReplyDeletecjng got in with Nacho Coronel to bite their benefactors on the ass, and La.Chapa was first brought to prison on the most pendejo style case, after "the arellanuses tried to murder him but murdered the Cardinal Juan Jose Posadas Ocampo by "mistake" with about 14 stray bullets, his driver 10 stray bullets and their car with about 150 stray bullets, from a distance of about 2 or 3 feet".
The mexican government collusion on bringing up La Mencha and his organization can not be denied, looks like every new mexican president picks and choses his own winning cartel, but ends up betraying their old friends as epn and genaro garcia luna with fecal help did with the Beltranuses. And take some pawns to make their life complete, like el menchito, las chorrientaz, mochomo, el benjas, Los Cuinis, La chapa, los mayitos, y los carrillos, all pawns and they all better behave...
You can take narcodata info with a grain of salt stratfor is more accurate. In colima la alianza entre gera mendoza of cdc and r18 continua. Cds&cjng continue to fight in la sierras with geras municipales&estatales but manzanillo is infiltrated by r18 ppl. In nayarit, jaliscos have gained alot of terreno due to menchos betrayals and turning their guns on the beltrans. H2 iva kebrar tregua con jaliscos with veytia taking h2 side but mencho gave out their locations before shit hit the fan resulting in 1 dead and the other arrested. Gente de pelocho continue to operate in nayarit bajo el mando de su hermano el aga 40 but have been reduced in the blo/cjng/cds war there while mencho absorbed zeta sleeper cells. In jalisco cds crime families have kept under mayo but have been forced out in alot of areas in southern jalisco ending up in countless narcofosas. Cds continues to have heavy presence in zapopan&guadalajara with the murder of el gross as a reminder. In yucatan cds has actually expanded due to GN influence in campeche
ReplyDeleteGood comment

@8:53 thank u finally someone who knows
DeleteEsta perron ese corrido como se llama JK
DeleteDo you throw in some spanglish just to mess with us o asi hablas jajaja good info
Gerardon de Aguillia Michoacán.
DeleteCds fan club is in denial LMAO dios iluminalos pero no los encandiles! Lol cds is too busy fighting each other to worry about cjng taking their plazas.
DeleteBS article. At one point the CDJN was part of the Sinaloa alliance. The split, or loss of Sinaloa territory, didn't come because of Chapo's capture, but the death of Nacho Coronel in 2010, brought the split of el Coronels successors from the Sinaloa alliance.
ReplyDeletenachos coronels son is acualys a member of cjng they call him el agila but is detainde
DeleteNews flash 11:36 but i didnt hear anything about sinaloa doing bad after nacho. The money kept rolling, business was running smooth. That was a very good try though, let me put you in the right path. You know Mr. Enrique Peña Nieto? Thats the reason because he cleared the way for Mencho
DeleteLa Nacha's nephew El Aguila was released a while ago.
DeleteThat's true
ReplyDeleteKurt Angle agrees with your comment
DeleteThis news doesn't really hold much weight considering that cjng was once allied to CDS and then jumped ship and went solo. It's not like if cjng came from a state that cds didnt have influence in and just started clearing them out and winning everybody over. But besides that to my knowledge mencho and mayo have an agreement to let everyone work in peace. And don't be surprised if you see mencho start pushing his weight in Juarez to win that border.
ReplyDeleteThats where everyone is wrong cjng (matazetas at the time) was allied to Don Nacho not Sinaloa. Michoacanos dont like taking orders from Chinolas. They could care less for chapo or his cartel. Plus i never seen them with a CDS vest or truck. Mencho is a smart mofo he picks his spots and takes over important states, why you think he doesnt care about the state of sinaloa.
DeleteNuevo Juarez was part of a truce with a portion of CDS not the entire cartel. I believe it was El Lic's faction but don't quote me on that. Nacho's death might have influenced a specific part of Mexico but not all the areas where CDS has lost turf. Nuevo Juarez pushed most of the CDS cells to southern Chijuas. Gulfos and CDS's truce was broken back when the Metros and Rojos double crossed each other and Azul was almost got caught up in the mix during the attack. And we all know what happened to the CDS when they entered Zetas turf. Their only presence in Coahuila is at the Sinaloa/Coahuila border.
ReplyDeleteHace falta nacho coronel
DeleteI also dont buy the article for what its trying to sell. All these reports that cjng is in Chihuahua, tj and baja which are in cds territory are just saying they're there in the capacity of narcomenudeo. They don't come close to controlling those streets or plaza. Idk about veracruz, puebla or michoacan but they just intruders in the north. CJNG ake hits too tho that are not reported on here, a lot more since damaso revealed what he was seeking when he was taken in couple months ago.
ReplyDeleteOne King falls....The next will rise...evolution of humans. Gotta say though El Mencho lived in the states before makes it pretty exciting to see how this one plays out......
ReplyDeleteI grew up in the SF neighborhood that he lived in, he still has family here (not in the business) and having heard stories about him definitely makes it exciting to see how it plays out, he worked the market in our district from the ground up so it's knowledge that no other narco kingpin has ever had (working the U.S. market).
DeleteChapo sold oranges
Delete1987 is not 40 years......There were only 2 cartels in the 1970,s.
ReplyDeleteAnd CDS was not even started til 1986/87.
It's obvious news for people who follow the cartel news here or el bdn. Cjng is extending their territorie faster than any other cartel has ever did in the past. First they started with Tijuana, then veracruz, baja California (mayo actually wanted a truce with cjng there in baja, due to Mencho killing too many cds and a lot of cds joined cjng) Mencho is slowly making his way to Michoacan and fighting for control in colima, Nayarit and guanajuato. I would say that cjng is the only cartel that lives up to it's name because they control over 90% of Jalisco. Not a fan but it's news that I have read over the years.
ReplyDeleteDon't believe BDN they post a lot of bullshit articles that they just make up
DeleteJaliscos man in veracruz was killed by marines. Some asshole named quino
DeleteCjng are nothing but a bunch of rats extorting uber drivers
DeleteThey taken lots of loses thats all.
ReplyDeleteCds is all split and not United anymore crime families are against each other in sinaloa. It's a mess right now with a lot of dead people, with organized crime not so organized..
ReplyDeletelos chapitos have won one battle. chimales are now in eldorado area. since like 3 days ago. people say now its peaceful, more people is seen at the streets now. all family related to damaso has been forced to leave the area. no more damaso family, none of his people operate there anymore. theyve killed many and rest have left the town. now ivan can focuse on other things. rumor is el mayo will get those turfs.
ReplyDeleteQue se maten todos asi nos quedan unas mujeres buenotas bien cirugadas pero ni pedo las disfruto. Happy 4th of July to all the Pochos in the Ju-Es-Ov-Eyy
ReplyDeleteCds nuthuggers are in denial lmao 😂
ReplyDeleteWhat state are you from hater?
DeleteHeard a rumor that rafael caro quintero is the true boss of cjng
ReplyDeleteThat's more of a joke than a rumor lol
