Reporter: Ruben Mosso
Elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency, as well as the Army and the Marines detained in Mexico City, six alleged members of the Sinaloa Cartel that operated under the orders of Damaso Lopez Serrano, El Mini Lic, son of the leader of the above mentioned criminal Damaso Lopez Nunez, El Licenciado, detained in the capital this past week.

In the first operation carried out in the Tlaltenco Colonia in Tlahuac, they captured Benigno Gastelum Sandoval, El Beni, originally from Culiacan, Sinaloa, who, according to investigations carried out by the AIC of the PGR, arrived in April to Mexico City and proceeded to Eldorado to work as drive and personal assistant of Mini Lic.

In the second action carried out in the Jardines del Sur Colonia, in the Xochimilco delegation, the Federal Agents detained 5 persons identified as Ramon Arrellanes Almazan, Juan Enrique Rodriguez Acosta, Trinidad Francisco and Jesus Alejandro Garcia Parra, all originally from Sinaloa and Jorge Tovar Calleros, El Guero or El Ingeniero from Jalisco, that are alleged to be in charge of the security for Mini Lic.

In both operations they confiscated two rifles, two sidearms, 160 rounds of different calibers, two grenades, a grenade launcher, eight magazines, tactical equipment, a kilogram of white powder, presumably cocaine, 600 grams of a substance with the characteristics of meth-amphetamines, 148 doses of crystal, 100 pills presumably psycho-tropic, three vehicles and eight pieces of radio equipment.

  1. I often wonder why seizure of computers/smart phones are omitted from the seizure list nevermind the dough. Does this mean the thugs are not tech savy or is it an oversight. In raids on ISSIS seizure of computers, etc. is considered the 'motherload'. Why not here? Thank you Otis for another excellent piece!!

    6. 6:32...clearly, 'the pot calling the kettle black'. In modern thought, if not in fact, nothing is that doesn't act, so that is reckoned wisdom which describes the scratch and not the itch. Lotsa of jibber jabber about the scratch and not the itch. Thanks again Otis B.

    7. Yeah man its from Milenio(it tells everyone that at the bottom)but many would not have read it except Otis-B took the time to translate the motherfucker into English for English readers to learn and hear what is happening in Mexico?
What the fuck is the problem with that?
What have you done lately to shine a light on Mexico?

    2. I heard it's because Mexico City is a neutral place within cartels. Majority of all capos take their family to live there. There's no turf wars, no plazas to fight over. It's a safe haven for families of the cartel bosses.

Corridos are fictional nowadays...they boast & brag about being stand up guys & as soon as they feel the cold steel of handcuffs around their wrist, they start crying & snitching!Look at Damaso Sr begging Uncle Sam to come rescue his bitch ass from Mexicos prison system,Mini Lic wont be any different, youll see!

    8. 2:53 I thought Choclos pushed weight not did security. He's on an indictment I believe

    9. Mario Valenzuela Verdugo from rancho Vizcaino. Yes he pushes weight but he is also part of Mini Lic inner circle. I believe he holds more clout out of that whole group. He comes from a well known family. He could of had something to do with the ambush on Ivan and Alfredo in Mayo turf since his rancho ain't far from El Alamo and Los Llanos. Just speculating on my part though.

    3. MP5K is not a bad weapon, I have used these myself, very good for close protection in confined spaces, but there is the MP7 now which has much better penetration than the standard 9mm FMJ

      Delete
    4. MP5K very good weapons and expensive. F.B.I. Swat teams in the us used them and countless agency's in the UK.this not a very common gun either.

    5. Blood is extremely corrosive.

    6. MP5K is a great weapon but nower days with the light concealable body armor and the short barreled high caliber rifles being used on the street you would be better off with a 7.5 inch AR or AK. These rifle can be just as concealable as the MP5 models plus you have 5.56 and 7.62x39 stopping power. But I guess it's what you can get your hands on is what you carry.

    7. I didn't mean the smg. The pistol is shit. Mp5 are very good but I prefer something more hands on like a p90.

    8. Plus MP5 parts cost a fortune to get these days.

  8. Definitely some changes are occurring in the drug cartels world. With bosses of all sides being apprehended and proceedings of extradition in place. Such changes are the result of a political system beyond our pay level to muster.
Interesting to know the full scope of what is transpiring. Sure that's classified .

  9. It appears that law enforcement from the Mexico and the US are zeroing in on the Sinaloa Cartel. Since El Chapo's arrest, the Cartel has weakened tremendously. This is allowing the Jalisco Cartel to continue to grow. But, just as with all Cartels, within 5 years, the Jalisco Cartel will be put out of business. No retirement in the game. You either go to jail or you die.

    1. Whoever is pulling the strings is clearly focusing on de-factionalizing
the Sinaloa cartel, when the play to weaken them would be to allow the in-fighting.

    2. Damasos were creating the only internal conflict within the CDS structure if you haven't been paying attention. Since damasos double crossing was brought to light, CDS or more less Mayo has zeroed in on them. Only people that really took hits within the Sinaloa Cartel was Chapos family. There was simply a restructuring that took place now that everyone is in line wiyh Mayo, you haven't heard them take a hit in a minute. Government is solving their problem.

Vago and his people will now follow like Bravo and die out. Damaso break up sums it all up. All that's left is Ivan and his people. Guzman new farm system is being put into play all youngsters. CDS on the other hand will always move on.
