Beltran Leyva Plaza boss "El Nito Amavizca" arrested with guns, cash and armored vehicle

Original article available at Excelsior
Translated by El Wachito

Agents of the State Public Security arrested in Hermosillo, Sonora, Rodolfo Lopez Ibarra alias "El Nito Amavizca", who was identified by the authorities as the Plaza Boss of Sonora for the Beltran Leyva Cartel, among the 12 priority objectives of the Federal Government and has extradition orders to the United States.

During a Mexican Government press released, the government claimed that "El Nito Amavizca" was arrested during the afternoon of Tuesday 27, of December in the Capital of Sonora, when the cartel liutenant was traveling in a road of downtown, on board a armored pick up truck, in posession of a .38 Super and thousands of dollars in a bag.

"He was traveling on board a armored Cheyenne, Chevrolet of level 6, 2012, and with possession of a handgun .38 super with three fully loaded magazines and more than 22 thousand dollars in cash", according to the official information.

According to law enforcement offials, the suspect attempted to bride the officers by offering 500 thousand dollars in exchange of his liberty, however the PEP elements and Ministerial officers, rejected the offer and an investigation for "coercion" will begin because he attempted to bribe officials.

"When he realized that he could not bribe us, he threaten the officials and attempted to intimidate law enforcerment officers by identifyng himself as "El Nito Amavizca", leader of Cartel Beltran Leyva plazas in several states of the country, like Chiapas, Michoacan, Distrito Federal, Nuevo Leon, Sinaloa, Sonora and Baja California, focusing on Guerrero, where he concentrated his efforts in Acapulco and Zihuatanejo, which are ports with high levels of violence due to plaza disputes", according to the Secretary of Public Security.

Authorities confiscated several cellphones and identifications with different names. "Nito" was arrested in 2009 at the airport of Apodaca, Nuevo Leon and again in 2015 in the municipality of Hermosillo; in both cases, he was arrested with carrying guns that are exclusively for the use of the Mexican Army.

According to the law of the National First Respondent, after "Nito" was arrested, he was turned over to the Public Federal Ministry at the installations of the PGR in Sonora, who will then determine the paperwork necessary for the crimes that he committed and will evaluate the Extradition orders of the Government of the United States.

  1. Could this be a response to the 4 PGR agents that were executed and burned in Zihuatanejo??

P.S. im not from Sinaloa myself so I, wouldn't know where to find fuckers like these but for the almighty DEA and even CIA this should be a walk in the park!

    9. Very cool El Wachito.Hiding in plain sight all along. In the article sounds like they even confiscated cash. How unusual but the usual thing they didn't get:drugs.

    10. 11:53 It's people like you who are the reason why the US will always be stuck in a lose/lose situation with Mexico. Blame the US for not getting rid of drugs. Blame the US for the demand for drugs. Blame the US for not helping Mexico enough. Blame the US for interfering in Mexico's affair. People like you need to get a clue and understand that drugs have been around along time and NOTHING will ever stop the drug trade. If the DEA's job is so easy maybe you can suit and show the agency how it's done instead of being a know it all nelly. My guess is you won't and instead you will just keep on hating like a Monday morning quarterback.

      Delete
    11. 11:53 to 9:49 I, never blamed the U.S. for all the shit you said liar. Just don't act like the cartels in Mexico are the only ones to blame for the U.S. drug consumption. It takes two sides have a baby and it takes two sides to make the cartels flourish. I would gladly joing the DEA also. What's the fuckin problem with that?

      Delete
    12. 9:49 the DEA and the CIA are expensive enough and famous for their corruption, together with their politicians and call boys and volunteer ladies of the night.
Their job is never done because they protect fiercely like bitches their corrupt managers and their politician bosses who are all in the pocket of their favorite money laundering banksters, there is the fight up there for your beloved institutions, not down here with la perrada, you can go along with them and wash their wounded egos like their own personal Magdalena de la noche...

      Delete
    13. @6:12 the U.S. incarcerates mules (the lowest in the food chain within the cartels), by the dozens if not hundreds each year and pays for their trials and jail expenses while one Big Shot capo like Zambada enjoys himself and lives the high life all because WE don't want to house only one of him in this country and pay for his ONE trial! What a stupid approach to solving the drug epidemic!

    14. I am 11:53 and 9:49. I love all the DEA and US government hate on this blog. It makes me truly appreciate where I was born and how I was raised. When you live in arguably the best country in the world it's automatic there will be bottom feeders taking shots. What's truly awesome is I am a minority who was raised by a single mother, graduated high school as three time all-American, graduated college in less than 4 years owing no one any money. Nothing came easy but yet my brothers and I persevered. There are millions of stories like mine in the great US of A and no matter how much hate is thrown towards my country there is nothing negative any of you can say to change my perspective. Point the fingers and play the blame game all you want but the reality is none you have done anything to change the status quo in the drug game. I have put over 16 years of my life doing what I can to keep my community safe. I've put murderers, rapists, drug dealers, gun runners and the worst of the worst in jail. So I can honestly say I've done what I can do to make the world a better place. Have you? 5:23 If you can join the DEA then do it. Don't talk about it, be about it and put your words into action. Mexico is its own sovereign nation so it's responsible for the security of its citizens. Right or wrong? To blame any other nation for Mexico's internal problems is complete and utter bullshit.

    15. From 11:53 to @2:52 glad everything has gone well for you. I am also first generation American and without going into details my life has been hard yet blessed also. My point is not to make America seem like the worst country in the world or to make the U.S. "solve" Mexicos problems.
The point is to make Americans like yourselves aware of the useless agencies or efforts that are done by those agencies in the real effort to curb drugs comming into this country. For example what good is capturing this idiot in this story for example rather than Zambada that crosses probably more than 20 times the amount of drugs into the U.S. than him??? Zambada is not bothering Mexico also so why would his capture "solve" Mexicos problems???
Because of their pride Americans fail to realize that this is the crap that happens everyday in this nonsense war on drugs!

      Delete
    16. 2:52 you may have earned "yours", congratulations, but according to more serious reports from people that k ow better than you and me, your beloved intitutions are corrupt and full of shit, answer one little question:
why did president george hw bush pardon the iran/contra conspirators without a trial if they were not guilty?
--It is not us down here trying to make you "change" your uninformed opinions, it is you hiding your head up your ass and refusing to see too far beyond your nose...

      Delete
    17. @2:52 what a fuckin crier. I, am not throwing hate here for the country just some of the agencies or policies that these have like the DEA.
I, mean what is the point of capturing guys like the one in this article and leave Zambada who crosses more than 20 times the amount of drugs into thw U.S. than him free???
If Zambada is not attacking Mexico and or threatening to do so directly how is this "solving" Mexico's own problems???
Hope people ask themselves these questions before pleading an all innocenct case against any U.S. law enforcement agency.

    19. 7:31 You have basically backed up what I have been saying all along. NOTHING WILL EVER STOP DRUGS....NOTHING!! If the US can't stop the flow then Mexico is obviously powerless themselves. You'll never see me cry about something I can't control. Maybe you need another hobby because your criticism of the DEA is not a good one. I have seen first hand what it's like to go undercover and fight the drug trade from within. Trust me it's not as pretty and glamorous as Hollywood would make it look. A lot good men's and women's lives have been destroyed because of their dedication to the job. Not to mention the casualties in the trafficking and distribution of the drugs through the entire process. While you are griping and complaining about the DEA there are people right now losing their lives fighting the drug trade.

--former CIA agent john Stockwell said in a speech in 1988:
"About 6 million people have been murdered around the world because of CIA's black dark secret operations around the world, always on third world countries that have no ICBMs, weapons of mass destruction or armies that threathen the US in any way, but for some strange reason, they get picked on in secret, under guidelines of national security..."

    8. 12:12 what are you smoking, snorting or injecting? "Punish the drug user more severely". How about capital punishment for the dealers like in other countries. Maybe if the Mexican people grew some instead of spreading their legs to the politicians they could have the right to carry firearms. But that won't happen because Mexico is run by cartels and their politician henchmen.

    1. Unless you are looking for your enemy in a trailer and you are afraid of killing innocents the MP5 is a waste of time. No one carries that model anymore. At least not in this hemisphere. Since you claim you are a pistolero obviously you wouldn't care about the over penetration of a real rifle round. Just stick with the 50 cal and FN 5.7. The only problem is if you get stuck in CQB situation you would be totally fucked with that 50 cal.

    3. overpower and underpower, thinking he would be a superior shooter, yet thats asking to be killed in battle, only have weapons to fight from a distance and close range but whatabout in between, you need to have a weapon that will allow you to advance towards your target, with the 50, most likely youre useless, most sicarios have no education and the 50 most sicarios use are rifles, to be a sniper it takes alot of mathematics something hard for an undecutaded sicario, a fully auto 50 on untrained sicario hands will cause collateral damage innocents would get killed as the by nly spray, something against cartel rules, leave the innocents alone. and the 5.7 is well way above any sicarios paygrade, its ammo is hard to get and expensive, a sicario whos pay is like the minimum wage in the US will not want to spend alot of $$$ and battle will be costly while there are many cheaper and deadly alternatives. and gente nueva special ops? more like gente huebona with special needs

    4. A HK MP5 goes for over $2,000. A brand Barrett .50 cal goes for $8500 to $6500. A FN 5.7 goes for over $1000. That's damn near $10,000 worth of weapons you got there bud. You must be high ranking member of the GN. With GN getting the shitty end of the stick in fire fights in the last couple of years I don't think you will last long out there. Good luck to ya and wear lots of body armor my friend.

  28. This guy is a joke, he's nowhere near the stature he claims.. Riding around with no security, a couple shitty hand-guns, and a few thousand in mostly 20 dollar bills. Pah!!

Something tells me the $500k was b/s and might have just in a failed rescue attempt.
