El Americano is behind the Murders in La Ruana

Translated by Chuck B Almada for Borderland Beat from a Milenio article
October 5, 2016

MEXICO CITY- Hipolito Mora, founder of one of the Autodefensas groups, assured that Luis Antonio Torres AKA EL America is behind the murders of the four catechists. Additionally, Hipolito Mora has adviced all families in La Rauna, Michoacan to purchase weapons to defend themselves since there is a lack of security in the region.

In an interview with Azucena Ureti for Milenio TV, Mora affirmed that one of the four young men found dead last Monday used to belong to one of the Autodefensas groups, but added that the young man resigned about three months prior due to the constant threats that he received and also because El Americano’s group murdered his father in December 2014. He assured that the four murdered catechists (Wilibaldo Hernandez, Jesus Ayala Aguilar, Adan Valencia, and Jesus Lopez), were all young countrymen that helped their parents in the agriculture and livestock sector.

Mora said that the entire town is certain that El Americano is responsible for the killings, but are afraid to speak since even the authorities are afraid of his group.

“This group has the authorities on their knees so much that even about a month ago, this group stole a patrol car from them in the Buenavista municipality… from Buenvista they brought the patrol car during night time hours to La Ruana that’s about 15 minutes away… they were shouting profanities to the police dispatch via the in-car-radio and there was no one that dared to stop them. It was between 15 to 20 young men and they’re the ones causing all the chaos.”

He added that although El Americano is no longer visible among the group due to the authorities looking for him and that other people are running his group.

Hipolito Mora also said that the residents in La Ruana are very content with the governor (Silvano Aureoles), because he’s carrying out projects for the towns; the citizens committee has met with him, but believes that this is useless because although they might receive resources to live better, financially, but that they’ll eventually get killed or kidnapped due to the insecurity.

Because of that, Hipolito Mora said “although it might sound bad, I recommend that all families in Michoacan purchase weapons to defend themselves, because we don’t have anyone to protect us.”

  2. 837 the dead catechists were what Hipolito says, not what their parents say, I respect more Hipolito's word than your stupid comment, he has lost a son and battled this criminal "el americano" that the government supports so much.

  4. Cjng got total control of that area with Viagras thanks to the fake autodefenzas created by the government with help from Colombians..what better way to get a plaza, just arm cartels with guns acting like they are rurales or autodefenzas. Mexico taking advice from Colombians.

  5. This is sad for me because my country, USA is seven thousand miles away defending people that hate us while we stand by, do nothing to help our neighbors to the south. It's wrong. We should be providing guns to the good people of Mexico so they can protect themselves. The Lord knows we have enough.

  8. Hipolito backstabbed Mireles; He lost his son and will die on the hands of the CT or CJNG before December.

That is my guess as CJNG is expanding everywhere. The government helps them by looking the other way.

  9. 9:00 well, el mamericano is hiding, instead of protesting the murders of his amigos, as he did when he accused Hipolito of the murder of his friend of former ct and LFM el pollo rostizado, WHICH HE DID TOO.
Hipolito on the other hand is giving conferences and press releases, and praising governor conejo, aka silvano aureoles pendejo.

  10. It's all a big show, they are all involved but they have to point a finger and blame somebody. My guess is that el Americano will go down next just watch. I bet hipolito is in it too, he made a deal with the government and they let him out of prison while Dr. Mireles never gave in. That's why the doc is still in prison. Real spit

  12. Mexican police interviewed El Americano for links to La Tuta, on evidence provided by Borderland Beat, but decided to let him go. Thats four people that could have been alive today had the police decided to act. Mind you that par for the course for Michoacan.
