53 Samples from dump and river are no DNA match to the 43 missing students

Lucio R Borderland Beat

The latest ludicrous offering by Mexican government is slammed by test results

So far, the Institute of Legal Medicine at the University of Innsbruck (IMG) has not identified genetic profiles in the samples of the skeletal remains extracted in the dump of Cocula, ground zero in the official government story of where 43 missing normalistas were taken and incinerated.

In a report, the Innsbruck institute indicated that a samples of human hair collected in the dump, was applied to mitochondrial DNA matching, but  does not correspond to any of the families of the missing students.

The content of the document which released through a newsletter the Attorney General's Office (PGR), also refers to the results of 53 samples of clothes and hair that were found on buses occupied by the students when they were attacked in Iguala.

PGR says nine bone and hair samples from the dump of Cocula and two bone samples from the  San Juan River, was sent for analysis in December.

Of  these the laboratory determined that some were of human origin and others of animal origin, the human samples were not a match to the families.

The PGR spokesman says hair samples were collected at the dump in a metal container, which the agency contends the 43 were incinerated along “with trash”.

The PGR reported that the results were in a sealed envelope, opened in the presence of  the deputy of Human Rights, Crime Prevention and Community Services, Eber Betanzos Omar Torres; the general coordinator of Expert Services of the PGR, Sara Monica Medina; and members of IMCI, Carlos Beristain and Claudia Paz y Paz, and the prosecutor of the federation, Edgar Nieves Osornio, at the headquarters of the PGR.

On behalf of the parents of normalistas, lawyers of Human Rights Cente,r Miguel Agustin Juarez, Mario Patron and Santiago Aguirre, and  Argentine experts Mercedes Doretti and Miguel Nieva.

The EPN administration finds itself in a quandary….after using all the tools in their corruption tool chest, the story of the normalistas remains alive and continues to generate international interest.  The game playing has not been successful, as no one believes the spin attempted by the government.

It appears they are over trying.

After the failure of the latest forensic studies, Osorio Chong informed  the IACHR/GIEI (Ayotzinapa experts) to pack their bags and be out of the country by April 30th.

After the results were ruled out as being connected to the normalistas, the government made no mention of plans to identify who the remains belongs to.

    1. I agree and I think it has to do with that it is becomming evidently clear that in Mexico this is not a fight with 'the government against the cartels'.

The realization is that this is not even the horrendous scenario of 'the government working for the cartels'.

Instead the depressing and hopeless reality is beginning to sink in which is that 'the cartels work FOR the government'.

Normal good law abiding (=civilized) citizens have in the best case thereby become irrelevant and in the worst case an obstacle to the aims of the corrupt elite running Mexico.

      Truly sickening!

    2. I gather the readership have varied perspectives on progress, some are users, traffickers, dealers. From their perspectives, a lot of good news lately.

The violence situation at least isn't completely out of hand if you aren't in Acupulco lately. Corruption seems worse.

Michoacan is beautiful, it would be nice to just drive around the countryside sometime in the future without a worry. If you want good news, the central states seem to be stabilizing. The south is going straight to hell and ruining paradise, but at least the US border states are less violent lately, and there are a lot of nice places within 500km of DF.

    3. I have seen this happen often. You have a guy that is a total scumbag that cannot pay his bills, has been doing crime almost almost all of his adult life. Stealing, chopping up stolen cars and selling the parts, petty theft and more. He is not working and decides to align himself with some of the thugs or a cartel. He befriends the President of a medium size pueblo, that got his high end position in the pueblo like just like he is going to get his.

He does not need qualifications, an education and can even have a record. He might not be able to even read or write. But the pueblo is controlled by the president who is controlled by the Narco's. The president put's the lowlife's name in for the second top job and a vote happens. Funny thing is there is no competition for this second in command job of the pueblo and everyone knows that. It is not a good idea to run if you are legit or you might get killed or just disappear. Just like so many candidates get killed in Mexico before the elections. He gets a few corrupt votes and he is now an official big wig that gets a cut from corruption, extortion and other criminal activity that can be pushed on the citizens. A guy that could not get a job anywhere is now not only paid with corruption money, but is also being paid a decent salary by the government. They can now do what ever they want because who is going to complain, after ifthe people they complain to are at the top in there town, and they control the police and everyone else you can do nothing. Best to shut up and just try to live, and often in fear of your government.

Good people do not have much of a chance of getting voted in in Mexico. If they do they have to fall in line and work for the criminals or else. This happens everywhere and the people do not get to vote for someone that is qualified or even honest at all. Like they say here in Mexico, there is no one that works in government that is an honest person. An honest person cannot survive in a government job. From the police and all the way to the top it is total corruption. The only way you get caught is if the people complain. like with the missing students as it gets a lot of media attention. You get to powerful and do something in the open and so brazen where everyone can see it happen. The 43 missing students will go away someday. To not be able to find the bodies or be able to get information means that the real people involved have been paid off or are dead. Only the government could make these people disappear like this. Because they can always torture someone to give up the truth if they really want to find them. It is obvious they do not want them found.

I have been cleared by Interamerican and mexican human rights agencies, by the ONU, by the, CIA, DEA...WHAT HE NEVER Says is: I AM NOT GUILTY of THIS CRIME, AYOTZINAPA AND I AM NOT GUTY OF ACTEAL CHENAL-HO MASSACRES, STILL, HE RESIGNED FROM ZEDILLO'S CABINET OVER IT...

  7. These kids remains where probably incinerated at the city morgue with full complicity of the police forces which is why there is no dna evidence found. The same people that ordered this "extrajudicial" killing then also muscled out fall guys to kill a few other people and made them believe that it was these kids so that when the investigative "authorities" asked them they would say that they killed the kids and dumped them somewhere randomly!
The person or persons that ordered the killing have covered their tracks completely!
As to who might have done this is provably the person/s thst had the most to losose with the progest the students where carrying out. Whomever they might be?

    1. The students were taking buses to go to Mexico City aka El DF to celebrate the Oct 2 1972 anniversary, when the mexican government murdered a lot of students...
Angel aguirre had been stealing the budget for the school, and secretario de educación EMILIO CHUAYFFET CHEMOR who had already murdered indians and has been accused of it with Ernest Zedillo as his secretario de gobernacion, position he resigned after the murders of ACTEAL-CHENALHÓ...
"LA EMILIA" had done it before, he had to resign, and zedillo's friend governor ruben figueroa alcove had to resign too, leaving as governor in his stead...angel aguirre rivero, who also stuck in sep 27 again against the Ayotzinapos, and resigned, but mainly the.same actors did the same thing, only for Ayotzinapa, they left no bodies behind...very smart, good idea...

    2. I've heard of this crematory that had a big fire on the night of the students capture! They should waterboard the mf's that were in charge of the crematory on the night of the fire and capture of the students. Let them confess who ordered the fire. Ecen if no names where given there was still a chance that faces can be drawn and perhaps the culprits can be caught.

    1. Government reports say a bunch of students hijacked some buses (which is almost routine) to organize a protest. Municipal president's wife is a cartel figure and the municipal police used unrestrained violence against the students. President allowed local cartel enforcers to murder the rest of them. All the mass graves suggest this is routine, and only caused an outcry because the victims had political importance to the international left.

However, the perpetrators were also from the political left. At least to the extent the PRD is susceptible to being corrupted by violent drug cartels.

    2. Those questions will be added to the list of who really killed JFK and Jimmy Hoffa. Who knows?

    3. The mob and the Teamsters were in one team, since Jimmy Hoffa's disapearance, it was teamsters supporting republican causes, and now a lot of police officers are "teamsters" and they get paid a lot of money, like today's casino executive, their industry pays to them, forgettabout the people and the mob.
@3:33 the myth of the students interrupting a speech by "la Emperatriz de Iguala", her husband mayor abarca getting mad and having the police kidnap and disappear the 43 is a story nobody believes, while the emperors of iguala are no saints, they had no beef with the students, the governor of the state did have "issues" and the federal government had even more issues, trying to stop the students from going to el DF, they had one year to get ready for the students, and were there waiting for them, all federal government operation...
Let's remember that mayor abarca and his wife kidnapped the mining engineer and beat him up and murdered him while more than half the people they were to kill that night escapped and they half buried the engineer in a shallow grave...imagine kidnapping 44 students and hiding them for 1.5 year? Does mayor abarca have what it takes for an operation of disappearing 43 guys?
I don't think so, the dope heads apparently do not believe the federal government's lies
