Parácuaro Autodefensa Leader Assassinated

Translated by Valor for Borderland Beat

A shootout between suspected criminals and members of the autodefensas of Tierra Caliente left two people dead in Michoacán.

The incident took place at noon in the village of Los Bancos, located in the municipality of Parácuaro.

The men that died were identified as Jaime Oseguera González, “El Jamo”, who was allegedly the leader of the autodefensas of Parácuaro and his bodyguard whose name hasn't been identified yet.

At the time of this report, a strong operation by the Federal Police and the Mexican Army is taking place in order to establish the whereabouts of the gunmen who killed these two men.

  1. You can't beat the government, because you know that's who did it. Sad but true, they are going after all of the autodefensas. If they don't get killed by organized crime then the government gets them.

  3. I think the article has gotten the facts wrong! It states:

"At the time of this report, a strong operation by the Federal Police and the Mexican Army is taking place in order to establish the whereabouts of the gunmen who killed these two men."

    The correct wording should be:

"At the time of this report, a strong operation by the Federal Police and the Mexican Army is taking place in order to reward the gunmen who killed these two men."

    1. Why are they being extradited there for?

    2. They are being sent here, because the USA knows, it's a chance these men could "escape", in a Mexican prison. Those, who are being sent here, are a huge threat, in some many ways. From everything from large sales of drugs, mass killings...kidnappings. You name it, they are all about it. That's why, the USA wants them, so you and I can rest, knowing they are some place that they are a lot less likely to ever escape from. El Chapo, is the reason behind this. That, and all the other prisoners who have successfully escaped Mexican prison walls before.

    3. I don't know why, or what it was, that kept the doctor, from being killed like this, during his AD leadership days. What did he do differently than these other men, and women, who have all been killed? Was it his influence, the media hype that followed him, God on his side, or... was it,his swagger? Whatever it is, I hope he has tons of it. I wish he could give some of it away, or rub some of on a new leader. Those leaders, who have all been killed, they didn't get as far, in the movement, as the doctor. It seems they all get snuffed out, before that can happen. Guess they don't want a 'new doctor", to replace him. That seems to be the message anyway. It's like, you know, you're as good as dead, if you take that position.

    4. Dr Mireles asked el mini-presidente "no me mates, yo tambien quiero vivir, bailar..." en su video que hizo publico, maybe talia vazquez obsession or political hopes helped some, but alfredo castillo put him in prison and crested the spurious charges while the mexican government carries on with their cowardly murders and attacks against a defenseless people, Mireles or no Mireles...
--Clearly, Dr Mireles was/is not the problem, the CT seem to have not been all of the problem, THE TICK PATAS were left behind, and they are the worst part of the garrapatas, namely el gobierno federal...

  5. The only way to survive being an ex "Autodefensa" leader is to have never have let anyone see your face ever during your time as leader. Just like "El Comandante Marcos", during the Chiapas rebellion years ago. This guys much like La Tuta used to post videos of himself wearing a mask and from what I know he has never been heard of being detained or murdered in the years after this rebellion. He is probably enjoying Las play as de Acapulco at this moment with wife and kids and nobody would ever know who he is.

    1. Marcos is still very active in the zapatistas movement. He changed his name last year to Galeano after the teacher killed in an onslaught of violence by a gang at a zapatista school.

  10. At the begining when you guys were applauding the Rurales I posted a quote from the book Barbarous Mexico saying this would happen. I would give my life to have had the debate go the other way. We should have looked at history to show us what the future had in store for us. This website does have influence believe it or not. I love it. I check it every day like millions of other people. But seeing what we see every day I still cant fathom our short sightedness. Especially since we see the same novela play over and over and over again.

  11. 8:52 do you remember somebody opinion about the name fuerzas rurales being a rancheriada from the federal government to the AD?
What matters is that BB has evolved, most of us here do not believe anymore that the biiig baaad narcos are mexico's problem, but their managers in charge for the global owners of drug trafficking and dirty mó ey launderers...the mexican government at all levels...
--BB is not just about yesterday's casualties count/list anymore...
