Six-year-old boy tortured and Killed. By other children.

Killed: Christopher Raymundo Marquez , six, was tied up, choked, stoned and stabbed in the back. Five children aged 12 to 15 years old have apparently admitted to his brutal murder in Chihuahua, Mexico

A six-year-old boy has been brutally murdered by five other children during a macabre 'game of kidnap', Mexican authorities have revealed.

Christopher Raymundo Marquez was allegedly invited to play and collect firewood from a waste ground near his home in Chihuahua by the youngsters, aged 12 to 15.

But as they reached a stream, the children told him they were going to feign a kidnap. They tied Christopher's hands and feet together, before beating him with a thorn-covered stick, it is said.

They then reportedly stoned the youngster and suffocated him with the stick pressed against his neck, killing him. After he had died, one of the children even stabbed him in the back, it is alleged.

Christopher's body was found buried face-down in a shallow grave in the northern Mexican city of Chihuahua early Saturday afternoon - two days after he went missing from his nearby home.
Police and forensics experts removed Christopher's body.
The alleged killers, a boy aged 12, two girls aged 13 and two other boys aged 15, had covered the hand-dug hole he had been dumped in with weeds and a dead animal, authorities said.
Police detailed the horrific circumstances surrounding Christopher's killing on Saturday night as they revealed that three of the child suspects are too young to be charged and tried under local law.

State prosecutor Sergio Almaraz said the youngster had been killed during a 'game of kidnap'. He added that the minors had admitted Thursday's killing in a poor neighborhood of the state capital of Chihuahua.

The children, neighbors and friends of Christopher, had invited the boy to play and collect firewood - but had turned on him after telling him they were going to feign a kidnap beside the stream.

Mr Almaraz said: 'While they were playing, one of the 15-year-olds suggested to the others that they should kill Christopher. It wasn't planned. It was a condition of the game they played.'

Authorities discovered Christopher's body after the mother of one of the 15-year-old boys phoned police to tell them she had discovered her son had participated in the murder.

He and the other teenage boy face criminal charges but the three younger children, who are under the age of criminal responsibility in Mexico (which is set at 14), cannot be tried.

A spokesman for the local prosecution service said: 'Because they're minors and very young they have very specific rights which are stipulated by law.

'All five children will undergo psychological and sociological studies to determine their family environments.'

Christopher's mother, Tania, who reported him missing on Thursday night, said on Sunday her son's alleged killers had taken part in the search for him with their families before his body was found.

She said: 'What I want is justice. If justice isn't done, we'll make sure it's done with our own hands. I, as a mom, demand justice. How are they going to set these children free?
Relatives of Christopher mourn at his funeral
'They haven't done these horrible things to a dog, they've done them to a child.'

Christopher's death 'at the hands of five other children' has stunned Mexico. Prosecutors have expressed concern over a killing that showed 'social decomposition' and an 'absence of values.'

    2. Actually Mexico is fairly well off for a Latin American country. There is very deep poverty yes, but not nearly as bad as most Central or South American countries.

It's very cheap to travel in Latin America. Try it sometime and educate yourself! We love it there.

    3. Mexico has a lot of money. Too bad its held by the ruling chilango class. They could care less about that kid. I hope the middle class continues to grow and brings up the poor with them. Such disparity between the haves and have nots. Educate your people and then provide them jobs. This downward moral cycle has to stop for these good people who are compleatly neglected and forgotten.

    4. I always thought Mexico was the US of Latin America.Larges areas of land for many resources unlike smaller Central American countries with not much land.I know Venezuela is much changed now but when I was there in 96,I found they were a little bit better off than Mexico and I travelled that whole country by bus from coast to Brazlian border but that's old hat.

    1. I can bet you that the boss's are most probably laughing right now, and as soon as all the press dies down they'll go to recruit those kids that could not be prosecuted. These deviants have been schooling kids to do this so they keep a pool of killers for the future.

  6. For the kids that are under age, you wait 2 more years till they are 14 n then u put them on trail. This is the same State where the little girl gave her speech on HOPE, right? Well Chihuahua authorities are going to have to make examples of these kids regardless of age.

    1. It doesn't matter their age when they are prosecuted their age only matters when the crime occurred. Because three of the assailants were 12 and 13 when they committed the crime that's what the court will use as a guideline to not prosecute them.

    2. It says in the defense of infancy on wikipedia that the criminal age of responsibility is 18 not 14 wtf.

  7. What was that article saying about the children are Mexico's future? Sounds like the future will be the same. Kidnapping is a game to play now? If this is the impression there, nothing will change. It will only get worst.

    1. This tragic horror illustrates the importance of the story "There is hope..."that I posted last week.
The first part of that story dealt with brave little Patricio Garcia denouncing Gov. Duarte and other gov. officials as "fourth rate politicians ..who are inept and corrupt and stealing money for their own use rather that using it for the people". The part of that story that goes deeper is the importance of parenting. She did not develop those views from what she learned at school or from the local media - she learned it from her parents who knew right from wrong.
The second part of the "hope" story dealt with "out of the box" thinking on developing some social programs for youth to lead them away from a life of crime.
Could teaching a child how to play the guitar or saxophones really keep him from pursuing a life of crime?.
"If a kid really has musical talent enough to take up music studies, he or she will have no time or room for anything else for a while.....Once they begin to perform, they'll be hooked. So, short answer, done right, music training will keep them out of gangs and drugs.....But the greatest gift from music training is creating self confidence in the kids. They are doing something nobody else can do, they are creating beauty. Once that gets ingrained, preferably at an early age, they generally don't go wrong. This self confidence is especially valuable for kids in a place like Mexico....."
Would better parenting that instilled a different value system in the alleged perpetrators or a program that introduces them to music and they develop a sense of "creating something beautiful" kept these alleged "monsters" from committing this horrific crime?
I don't know the answer to that. No one does. But the possibility that it might have is enough to keep that flicker of hope glowing.

    4. You are right 11:30am but the only thing alittle different is that boys and girls participated together to kill this boy. I don't ever remember any stories worldwide where this has happened. I could be wrong because I haven't researched it deep enough but this instance seems different.

    5. @4:42pm

If my memory is correct back in the very early 90's some teens and one or two preteens participated in killing a boy in a car reenacting a scene from the Movie The Godfather. The are also scattered stories similar in which kids kill kids. It sounds very different and shocking to you, as it should, because it's the first time you here of such things.

    6. Let me explain myself 9:54am. I have seen many cases all over the world where youths or preteens torture a child to death. What I am saying that is unique about this case is the mixture of boys and girls in this group actively participating in the child's death. Typically it's boys together or girls together but not in a mixed group together. I have looked online and I have looked thru old college text books with no luck with no other cases being similar. I am not an expert and I will never claim to be but I felt it was necessary to point out my observation. If any commenters know of any cases that are similar to this story please share.

  9. It's not accurate to call this a "game of kidnap."

Some sick, twisted, adolescents tortured and killed a 6 year old boy. They gauged out the boy's eyes and stabbed him 27 times in the back.

The boy knew the adolescents, but they were not "friends." A 6 year old and a bunch of teenagers??

The lil boy killed a girl at age 11 as part of his gang initiation. he shot at some gangsters buy missed and killed her instead...so two hitters from the gang no older than these kids were sent to kill him....shit was real in Chi on the So Side at that time...for him anyways...it happens everywhere not just in Mexico...fortunately for us its still a rare enough occurrence that it causes shock, even in mexico

    1. That was a bad year for children being killed in Chi-town that year. I think around 60 children were intentionally killed in Chicago in 1994. I say intentionally because they were murders. I remember the stories of gang members sniping kids walking home from school. Also kids like Yummy being killed by their own gangs because they caught the attention of the police. All these types of stories are very sad no matter what country they happens in.

As I said Buggs is very strict on MB content, a couple of my posts were not allowed like the story of the wrongfully accused man in -Presumed Guilty-which highlighted the Mexican Justice system. and that was much closer connection than this.

Also, I am not getting all my comments sent to me, please help by beginning with "Please give to Chivis" or emails me.....thanks!!!

Apparently she is a Serial killer in the making and she is only 13. She planned to kill Christopher for 2 weeks. The boys were under her spell and were some what afraid of her cause they knew she was crazy.

  32. @7:10 PM Where did you get the info? Can you share a link?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sorry no link 9:49pm just inside information from family members living in the area. Allegedly she was blackmailing a married man in the neighborhood who was cheating on his wife. She would approach him whenever she needed money and he would pay her to an allowance. The other boys would hang with her because she always had money. She gained Christopher's trust by giving him candy or taking him to the store with her. She also was the one who did that stabbing and took his eyes. That info is coming from one of the boys mother. It's obviously all hearsay but that's what this webpage is for and that's to share information.
