Former AD Leader: Having 90% support, mayoral candidate is murdered by armed commando

Lucio R. Borderland Beat-Facebook:Valor Michoacan, Yurécuaro, and Aristegui

Another candidate gunned down; armed commando interrupts rally to assassinate candidate, former Autodefensa leader, he received serval bullet impacts by gunman

Enrique Saucedo Hernandez, former leader of the Michoacán autodefensas and a Morena (political party)candidate running for mayor of Yurécuaro, was killed last night at a rally, confirmed the Municipal Public Security and Michoacán Atty General.

According to local authorities, at 19:30 pm yesterday, a commando aboard a truck open fire on  the candidate, wounding three people, including a minor.

Saucedo Hernandez was a leader of the autodefensas of Yurécuaro, and a close friend of political prisoner Dr. Manuel Mireles.

Five hours before his murder, he posted on face book a demand for the release of Dr. Mireles.

Last year he was arrested for the murder of Gustavo Garibay, Tanhuato mayor, but was subsequently acquitted when prosecutors lacked evidence, a typical tactic to imprison a “nuisance”.

In this case as in Dr. Mireles case Alfredo Castillo was behind the incarcerations.

Death and imprisonment are the tools used to eliminate those speaking out against organized crime and government corruption.

While he was incarcerated he was in isolation, denied visitors and was tortured.

In a video posted on YouTube, Hernandez had prophesized that he would be murdered, saying he was a "dead man" from the moment Alfredo Castillo ordered autodefensas to disarm.

"My enemies are Templarios and the corrupt government officials of Michoacán, to disarm is to be defenseless to organized crime," (Enrique Hernandez)

His daughter was with him at the time of his murder.  It has not been clarified if she was the minor injured in the attack. (Later is was reported not to be his daughter that was injured, but a young boy who is in critical condition from gun shots, along with two others)

Following the murder, Hernández’ lifeless body was covered with a white sheet, and his trademark hat placed atop, in addition  candles and a crucifix were positioned with the body.

    2. That is untrue to anyone knowing the situation and can define the coastal AD/genuine AD.

as I say...easy to define, the leaders or the "good AD" are killed or imprisoned, the bad ones are armed by the government, given trucks, make leaders of Rurlaes

    3. I seriously doubt that the U.S. would be happy 'bout this. Mexico has to clean up it's own mess. The only thing we can do now is secure the border.

  4. In yurecuaro, there is a mix of 50/50 cjng and what ever reminder of caballeros templarios cells, la Ribera jalisco is about 3 minutes aways they are divided by a river, well they point that I'm trying to make is that, here is a ground zero for violence. When the autodefensas movement they tried to kill this guy so many times....they just happened to get him before he got political power. Yes el PRI es guilty like always but nobody gives a shit cause they have power politically, aka the army the police and so on....in mexico is super difficult to have a clean electoral battle because of shit like this they kill , the competition...

  7. Mexico needs to have the death penalty. If you kidnap you die, if you have drugs you die, if you kill you die. As simple as that.

    1. And if Mexico incorporates the death penalty, who enforces it?... The same talentless idiots who are running the country now. This would just give them another weapon to use against the public.

    2. Mexico already has a death penalty, it is done quickly on the street by the victor or the one in power at the given time. It could be a cop, government agent, military issue, or a criminal thug that hands out the death sentence. Far too many good people get mixed into the killings with those who probably deserve it.

    3. It seems the death penalty is just what you stated, on the streets on every day killings!

    4. Death penalty? People need to stop making this dumb statement. The justice/political system needs the revamped. Why have the death penalty when law enforcement only solves 10% of crime? Why have the death penalty when these jerks can easily put anyone (without due process) in prison? So what is the death penalty supposed to deter again? Kill innocent people or hapless folks with no resources to defend themselves? Please put this to rest already...

  12. I have guarded hope with this news, because it comes from Vicky, and she is very close to her brother. I trust what she says, I just have zero trust with the government.

The Sister of Dr. Mireles, Virginia Mireles says she, Hipolito Mora and another from her political party met with PGR, and that an agreement for her brothers release may conclude as soon as next Monday. Not that he would be released on Monday but that the papers would be filed to withdraw the prosecution.
“Vicky”, also adds that Dr. Mireles condition is not good, that poor control of his diabetes has caused “damage to some of his limbs” and if he continues to have the attacks he will be subjected to amputation
