Drug Trafficker Fugitive on Canada's 10 Most Wanted List, Captured in Guadalajara

Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat
The fugitive was on Canada's 10 most wanted list, captured in Mexico where he was known to have criminal ties, after 4 years on the lam

Backstory:
Cory Vallee is a member of the United Nations Gang.  He is wanted on a Canada-Wide Warrant for the slaying of rival gang member Kevin LeClair and the slaying of an innocent party, Jonathan Barber.  Vallee is also wanted for the Conspiracy to Murder the Bacon Brothers and/or their associates.   He grew up in Florida.  Vallee is also associated to a drug trafficking network in Mexico.  Before his arrest he was last seen in Canada in October 2009.

Twenty-six-year-old Kevin LeClair,(at left) who police say was a high-ranking member of the Red Scorpion gang, was gunned down outside the Thunderbird Shopping Centre in Langley as he sat in his truck in February 2009.  After his death it was disclosed that LeClair had "cooperated" with police on a case.

The Red Scorpions are a British Columbia based organized crime group and nemesis of  the UN gang.

Barber was killed in hail of gunfire in May 2008 as he drove a Porche  owned by one of the Bacon brothers through Burnaby B.C.

Barber, 24, was shot by mistaken identity, just after he picked up the vehicle belonging to one of the Red-Scorpion-affiliated Bacon brothers to install a stereo.  and LeClair died the following February during a daytime shooting at a shopping centre.

The UN gang was founded by a group of high school friends, from  middle class suburbia, who formed the group in the late 1990s.  The gang  linked with an Asian organized criminal group and later, with  Mexican cartels.  They group experienced rapid growth,  running an enterprise involving helicopters flying across the US-Canada border trading much sought after British Columbia cannabis for  Mexican cocaine to be sold in Canada.  The group has ties to The Hells Angels.

Monday's Capture in Guadalajara
Cory Vallee — (above)  a man police claim played a major role in the Lower Mainland's 2008/09 bloody gang feud — was arrested in Mexico on Aug. 13 and appeared briefly in a Vancouver court Monday.

Vallee, 37; who has evaded police for four years, had been charged in absentia with two counts of first degree murder, one of attempted murder, and one of conspiracy to commit murder

Arrested in Guadalajara, carrying a fake ID, Vallee's identity was quickly confirmed and he was transported back to B.C., according to a statement from the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).

In the statement, Kevin Hackett, Chief Officer for the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia, said Vallee's arrest was a testament to the dedication B.C. officers have to the victims and families of gang violenc;

"as a result of tremendous cooperation between IHIT, CFSEU-BC, Mexican authorities, and others, we were able to track down and arrest one of Canada’s most wanted men who had managed to elude us for four years," said the statement.

Vallee is accused of being part of the United Nations gang plot against rival organized crime group, the Red Scorpions, led by the notorious Bacon brothers.

In 2008, 24-year-old Jonathan Barber was gunned down in Burnaby, in what police say was a case of mistaken identity —  Barber was installing a stereo in a car that was owned by one of the Bacon brothers.

Vallee is also accused of being part of a United Nations gang plot to kill Jonathan, Jarrod and Jamie Bacon.

Police are still hunting for the final suspect in the conspiracy, Conor D'Monte, who hasn't been seen since 2009

For further information on these and other Canadian organized crime gangs there is a 5 part documentary, below is part 1 of the 5.  "The Gangster Next Door"

  1. Eh, what's that aboot! Since when is Canada a hotbed of organized gang activity. Damn that's crazy. Canada has to be one of the safest countries in the world. Canadian Girl and Canadiana could you'll offer some more insight on the situation. It would be really appreciated.

    3. Canada's organised crime tends to be 'old school'...leave women, children, innocents and the family dog alone. Get on with business.

There were innocents including a young boy who died in Quebec (a province--US+Mexico have States) during some bombing of rival biker gangs to which the police and public went crazy about to prevent such biker wars like that again.

Canadian bikers--the 1% also try to go under the radar and usually respect an enemy's wife, family etc. If punishment is to be dealt it would be levied directly against the 'enemy'...usually a male(s)...of course if a woman for example ripped off any organised member/groups she would face the consequences. But again her family would be spared grief if they had zero involvement.

We have our share of depraved predators like Paul Bernardo and sicko who stalked and murdered women, and a few serial killers.

What we don't have, thank God, is the insane horrific and senseless butchering, torturing and slaughter as a Blood Sport, complicit with a barrel filled with bad apples for a govermment.

Canada has had problems with the black men mostly from Jamaica who for whatever reason have been allowed to live here. They are a disgusting group of lazy, sleazy, drug ingesting problem---rob innocents, pimp women to pay for their drugs.

Canada is a beautiful free country. BUT, many humans would reduce themselves to desparate behaviour depending on their country's government, economics and education abilities--or lack thereof.

      God Bless Mexico.

  9. The world was safer when the only people you really didn't want to piss off went by the names: Genovese, Bonanno, Profaci, Gambino, and Lucchesse. Back in the day, in the event, God forbid, that one of these freaking bikers should get out of line, like in A Bronx Tale, they would hear those 4 little words that would seal their fate: "Now yous can't leave." Back when Juan N Guerra ran La Compania out of his Piedras Negras Restaurant; Pablo Acosta Villarreal was El Zorro de Ojinaga; and Pedro Avilés Pérez was mostly mota and chiva; and Don Fabio Ochoa Restrepo was just a horse breeder.

  10. canada was moonshining since before prohibition, all through prohibition and handling a lot of mafia business in a big way since joe bananas adopted the country all the way down to arizona, ny was too small for the five pointers, all the families had to get out or kill each other, now there can't be winners if they don't rely on the mexicans...

  13. I remember something about that case a few years back. There was something also that went down in Kelowna BC a vacation resort with the Red Scorpions and the bikers.A guy was assinated and there happened to be a few innocents in the apartment and they were also assinated. It was shocking for a town of maybe 35,000 people.A lot of people here are not in gangs. They work independently to deal their drugs.Alcohol and hydroponic pot seems to be the drugs of choice here, not much meth or herion in Calgary.Herion seems to be more popular in the port city of Vancouver and the Mafia is big in Montreal where the French culture seems to be more corrupt. Is that a latin thing?

    1. He absolutely was...him and his gang constantly ripped off loads, robbed people they supplied and then turned around and taxed them for not coming up with payments. They all essentially wiped each other out by being the biggest bunch of boneheads to ever carry guns ! They all listened to a few too many rap songs and got in way over their heads once the myrders started.

--the difference between US/canada and mexico, is that the police over there are not exploiting and shaking down the lowest of the lowest grameros, in mexico they are killing each other over the table scraps, or the police will fuck'em up if they don't deliver the quota, their next option is kidnap for ransom or rob somebody, all the bloody killings are due to the mexican police of all levels, they have to kick the money up to their bosses too, or they are pendejos and do not know how to work, and that is the difference between our police and yours...

Could you please explain more? I thought Laredo organized crime was ran by a triumvirate of Mexican Mafia, Hermandad Pistoleros Latinos and Texas Syndicate. Anyways, I'm glad down here we don't have that shit wanna-be gang called Tango Blast. Even though the 3 gangs I listed are bad the Tango Blast are a bunch of tecatos/prendidos who rob old ladies and try to act like mayates from H-Town.

  21. the outlaw mc and the mongols kicked the hell's angels away from the US , they sure made hook-ups to jamaica, you don't like mexican you go nowhere, taco bowman who is not even an illegitimate mexican professes his love with his cantinflas moustach, the hell's angels in the US are nothing more than the mamas and the papas of the biker clubs, heavily populated by grampas and granmas, the wide spaces in their mouths allow them to smoke bigger joints, through the no teeth areas...
