  4. The situation down in Mexico is very sad.In my opinion the only solution that can fix all this,is to simply boycott Mexico in every aspect.I know it sounds cruel(mainly for the honest hard working people that live there and for the family members that live in the States.)I think boycotting tourism will put pressure on the government to really crack down on the crime down there, instead of doing half-ass jobs or completely ignoring the situation.I know it sounds easier that actually doing it.But there are a lot of people that in complete denial about all this.I myself had a trip planned to go there(business not pleasure)but I chose not to go there.Even though some of my family members did go(example of people in denial). Most people say, that its calm down there and only if you're involved, you are in danger. But like I said, you just never know when you'll get caught in the cross fire.I'm not a coward. But basically how I see it is,I'd rather die for a reason than nothing at all.So yes, boycotting Mexico(in my opinion)is a possible solution.

    2. Well the problem here is not the mexican people but their fucken corrupt goverment. Allow me to elaborate , mexicans flee mexico cause lack of jobs and cause mexico is a 3 world country right? Among other reasons. Well the problem is the mexican goverment, so maybe taxing pemex with 10 barrels of oil peer illegal immigrant here in USA. And giving mexico an ultimatum either keep your people feed and clothed or you will become another puerto Rico. I guarantee the immigration problem will be fix in 2 years.

    3. When younger and feeling more invincible, I would travel throughout main land Mexico by bus or our own vehicle. We would go all along the coast of Michiocan. Ive had friends get robbed at gun point. Dogs shot at feet, trucks stolen. All along to the present stuff like that would.happen and one would hear about it. The point being seems that social media only speeds up the report and is able to funnel different stories together making what I think has been going on for for time immemorial. It does feel like the last bastion of the wild west.

  6. When it's an American Mexican authorities act quickly but when it's a non American they don't even care.

  7. I'm glad she was rescued and returned home. But this shows how pathetic and corrupt the mexican government is. They'll jump on an American reported kidnapped (glad to know this) but not their own people. If she were a mexican citizen she would have been found in pieces somewhere.

    1. I think you are wrong. Why dont they free the marine in tijuana from prison if they favor americans.

    2. The marine was apprehended while bringing fire arms into mexico. Assault weapons like the ones he brought are fueling the violence. He wasnt some inncocent person randomly kidnapped.

  10. The state department should issue a no travel policy in Mexico. And they should have Border agents turn all Americans away at the border. They will not do that though. It is important for the US government to make everyone think everything is OK south of the border.

  13. When there is news of US citizens being missing, killed, or kidnapped, they almost always have a Mexican (spanish) last name. It doesn't say in this case. And based just on the report here, I can't see where there was any particular US influence or involvement. Maybe there was. My guess is the US citizen victims in these cases are either mistaken for Mexican, or are otherwise collateral damage. The fact, if ever uncovered for whatever reason, that a victim is US citizen gets attention. But everyday I see postings on facebook and other places about missing Mexicans and I wonder what is the outcome. I am hearing more of organ harvesting, especially from children. Maybe more Americans will become victims if organ trafficing becomes an expanding activity.

  14. It's funny how there are many US citizens living in Mexico and not often are they kidnapped. Yet when one is kidnapped the government forces are quick to act. But if it's a Mexican citizen.. well, good luck. They would rather protect their image to the outside than the inside.

    Crappy situation :(

  17. SO not true 2:43, Mexican authorities rarely, as in almost never, rescue Americans kidnapped. I have worked with dozens of cases, and have been privy to the communications between families and authorities.

  19. the federal police extorting the narcs to the point that they have to kidnap anyone for whatever money they might have, to pay more to the master kidnappers for ransom, the SSP, left over by genaro garcia luna to do the SSP work, ony the SSP will not do it, the SSP bosses can only provide private security, if you PAY out of your own pocket, otherwise you are on your own, good luck.
the federal SSP supplement their ranks from state SSP and locally from municipal corrupt police elements who know what is up on their cities, otherwise the narcs would not be so broke that they need to kidnapp and be killing each other for nothing; like the drug producers, they are not getting paid, and the table scraps are good enough for only a few dogs.
poor farmers never make enough money, and sicarios don't even finish paying for their guns when they get arrested or killed, they are living on empty promises, no room for decency, thanks to the mexican federal police.

  20. What about our US Marine in a Mexican jail. We want him back pronto?

  21. @5:50 your US marine, with pstd, had no reason to be in posession of grenades and weapons while undergoing treatment or seeking it, he could have stayed in the military and play with weapons to his heart's content, more tot he point, coming from corrupt florida state, drug traffickng and money laundering home of jeb bush and felix ismael rodriguez, and their drug trafficking associates, refuge of republican corruption, how can anybody trust our marine is not just part of some darker conspiracy?
