The Attorney General of the state of Sinaloa (PGJE) today confirmed that one of the three killed in the town of Elota is Manuel Alejandro Gómez Aponce aka "El Bravo". When found he had been dead for apx three hours. After the capture of Guzman Loera, , it was learned that El Bravo
was in charge of the resort of Mazatlán, and was the man entrusted to oversee security
at the Miramar condos . We all know how that ended.
Ríodoce is reporting , the security chief of El Chapo,
is one of the three bodies discovered Wednesday morning at a factory. This is the second time "El Bravo" has been reported dead in recent years. The bodies were found in La Cruz de Elota, Sinaloa.
The discovery of the bodies occurred at about 11AM. Ministerial Police sources said the dead
bodies were discovered by workers at the site known as "La Palapa".
The bodies were discarded
alongside a chain link fence, with signs of torture and blows to the body in addition to
bullets to the head. One of the deceased
was wrapped in a blanket with duct tape at the feet.
Manuel Alejandro Aponte Gomez has been indentifed by the federal government as security chief of
Joaquin Guzman Loera for ten years. The security
chief is a former Elite Militar and is a
Military College graduate, attending in
the years of 1993 to 1996.
He is named as the architect of the execution plot of Rodolfo
Carrillo Fuentes, The Golden Child, the afternoon of September 11, 2004 at the Cinepolis
Plaza, in Culiacan.
El Bravo is from
Chilpancingo, Guerrero. Aponte Gomez he graduated as a second lieutenant in 1996, and
led one of the infantry units stationed
in anti-drug efforts.
According documents of the agency, the seventh infantry,
in those years were deployed to the mountain town of Badiraguato, Sinaloa, the birth place of 'El Chapo.'
He was listed as a
deserter in May 2004.
In his ministerial statement, Carlos Manuel Hoo Ramirez, the
man who was arrested with Joaquin Guzman
Loera, February 22 in Mazatlán, said the arrest of Chapo could trigger a war
between Dámaso López Núñez and Manuel Aponte Núñez López (el Bravo) , if he and the sons of Guzman
Loera come to believe that they were betrayed by Dámaso.
Wouldn't bravo be interrogated and beheaded or something since he was a high ranking member? Instead of just a bullet to the head? Doubt it's him.

any chance that el bravo was just a double or triple agent? his military proficiency, and knowing how the mexican police operate makes me wonder, but i'm sure el bravo was made to confess, and nobody was there to help him, and nobody but his friends would get this close to him...

If you guys remember the golden rule of carillo Fuentes to not kill family was broken by chapo, same rule was applied to el bravo. He was only untouchable when chapo was free. When chapo got captured it was green light on his people. Karma is going to get them all one by one.

DeleteEL Bravo was a GAFE Mexican Special Forces similar to Rangers Mountain unit however he failed at his job providing security for El Chapo and when you make a nistake in this business you dont get fired you get a bullet.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all he was no GAFE, or mexican special forces, he was a cook at the 9th, Novena zona militar. GAFE training is similar to that of the 101st Airborne Division, The Screaming Eagles, which IS NOT jump qualified, it's an Airmobile Division. Ranger Regiment like the 75th, and Mountain Divisions like the 10th Mountain are very different, even their training is as different as black and white. Please if you have never served, don't post anything related to the military, because you will only show the people how ignorant you are. Thanks, Army Veteran 1968-1990 and proud of it. 82nd Airborne Division, the 509, 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment and the 8th Infantry Division, The Pathfinder Division.

DeleteTo lead a unit you need to hold at least the rank of Captain, a 2nd or 1st Lieutenant to lead a platoon, a seargent to lead a squad, and he never held any of those ranks, didn't even make it to cabo (corporal). Special Forces? Please don't make me laugh.

Deleteel bravo was a lieutenant in the mexican army, graduated from the military college, certainly he was no general and maybe no gafe, but he was good enough to impress el chapo and the cds while he was there.
ReplyDeletehis short career in the army, and the unspecified reasons for him dropping out and going to the cds, is suspect, it would be no wonder if he was a double agent for the mexican intelligence and infiltrated the cds until needed, because that is how the mexican army and federal police work...
I have to agree with you, I didn't believe he was an officer, but I googled his name and in fact he was an officer, I do believe that lots of good mexican officer just drop the service or go awol because they don't get paid enough. I apologize for my comment him being a cook.
