Photo of X20 after Arrest and Details and New Leader?

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

Another photo in my series of :Another reason not to become a narco", though in this case there wasn't much to begin with...

However, of the first things that I thought of was "I wonder how different he looks from his known photo"

Aside from looking very unhappy, I only recognize the eyebrows matching any feature in the old photo. I dropped in the old photo in with the arrest photo from siskyou_kid

New Leader?

Grillonautas is reporting another Cárdenas Guillén brother will be taking the CDG leadership.

Homero Cárdenas Guillén, “el Majadero” who has, according to “Contralínea” magazine, since 2009 has managed the trafficking of cocaine from the Tamaulipas Rio Bravo/RioGrande border into Houston and Brownsville, Texas, and Atlanta Georgia.

The arrest was prompted by his men giving him up

Details from the  televised conference, an official from the Ministry of the Interior:

On August 12, prior to the arrest of Ramirez Trevino, there was the capture of 24 members of CDG (Cartél del Golfo).  The detainees  provided them the  intelligence that took authorities  to  the  location of the X20.

Spokesman Sanchez Hernandez confirmed that X20 aka El Pelón was arrested, without gunfire, in  Reynosa Tamaulipas,  in an operation led by the Army, in coordination with the Attorney General and the Federal Police,.

At the time of his arrest,  Mario Armando Ramirez Treviño had 2 active arrest warrants for  charges of organized crime, kidnapping and drug crimes.

Arrested along with the X20,  Pedro Cruz Gerardo Barrios and Lopez Ruiz, identified as bodyguards for  Gulf Cartel leader. Also three military assault rifles were secured,  nine mobile phones, $ 38.000, 25,000 pesos.

The spokesman also said Mario  Ramirez Treviño is a suspect in  the recent attacks on police facilities in Tamaulipas, as well as a series of kidnappings in the state of Veracruz.

Both Mario Armando Ramirez Treviño along with the  other prisoners were made available to the Deputy Attorney Specialized Investigation of Organized Crime (SEIDO) of the PGR.

  2. Quick question.

Have some school aged (elem, Jr high) relatives coming back from Monterrey to Houston next weekend after spending part of the summer with buela.

which border town is safer Reynosa or Laredo?

    1. Probably Laredo. Reynosa has been a hot spot and will get worse now that X20 has been captured. in the next couple of weeks I feel there gonna be a lot of gun battles.

    2. LAREDO !!!! At least for rigbt now I cross every week and everything seems peaceful in nuevo laredo

    3. I just came back to California from Monterrey. Nuevo Laredo is way safer but only cross during 12-6 in the day anything early or later is bad. Don't worry The Mexican military is all over the place.

  3. X-20 wouldn't pay his soldiers he would just send them to war, but he would let them do their bussiness with drugs to make money. Such as buy Kilos

  4. This guy needed to have hidden himself in the sierra Madre oriental. I think the days of CDG Capos hiding in the cities of Tamps. is over. They need to take a page from the book of CDS Capps and pay for the proper protection. The question that arises now : who is the man, or women, who will take the reins of the CDG. Or is Chapo ready to enter Tamaulipas and expand his cartel empire.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Sinaloa will never own tamps....
their will be a very strong minded person come into the play possibly a tejano from McAllen someone who's bringing in big money for the cartel and has their mind on the $$$$

x20 looks like he relapsed and was back in to doing drugs possibly the reason he was given up

  6. The guy is 51 i believe. Folks around that age tend to age a little more than others buela ;-)

  7. Two drug lords captured with less than two months difference, I am really intrigued to see the before/after photos it really amazes me, cant wait to see Joaquin Guzman's photos, sooner or later everybody falls, and el chapo's fall will be the best thing that ever happened to everybody.

    7. The story of el ondeado says that he tried running into the forest of some sort and they shot him in the back he didnt give up buy didnt fought either.

Im from Rio Bravo Tamaulipas now living in mission tx, rio bravo is a pretty small town with only one main street, one freeway I imagine there's where they planted their checkpoint but its wierd because right by the freeway is rio bravo's police station, the freeway is right next to a canal and rio bravo is at the opposite side so its not very strategical to be there no place to hide rio bravo is not a but they where there for a reason.
Also if anybody goes to rio bravo go to tacos el primo they are the most amazing thing you will ever eat, right by the rotonda, very known there just ask everybody know where everything is.

  18. If you look closely at the photos he didnt had surgery just aged maybe 15+ years, same eyebrows, chin dimple and neck line, the angle of the photo makes him look a bit different altough his nose is amazingly pointy almost like it had it re-done but I think its all natural.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 51 is prime? 51 is getting a bit long in the tooth for this lifestyle, definately there are older chaps around but for the majority of the guys seems to be around 30-35-40. didn't pay his men? man thats as low as it gets, across the board, anyone that doesn't pay people, needs to be shoved in a small box for a few weeks

  31. If im not mistaken that's the same way how they arrested El Coss, i doubt it highly, because only people with boss know his location, others have no clue, just not in CDG ,there apparently every other member knows location of boss.I don't buy that.

  34. @11:20

El Ondeado din't give up. He went out shooting, there's conflicting stories but apparently he dropped a helicopter with Barrett 50 cal. Others say that never happened, some say that he killed 11 Marines before he got shot down, but the fact is he went out shooting, by himself with two .38's against 28 soldiers

    2. Ondeado had more bruises than anything. And he got shot with handguns. So he was tortured before he was killed. Some say he did kill soldiers and he got caught and torured. Others say he was killed for the same thing that el fantasma was captured for. That incident where those 4 soldiers were kidnapped and let go in exchange for meño

  36. to a lot of these alpha types, any backup is a huge personal crisis, they go into huge depressive states. especially when they cant have what they want, or when everything seems to be going a different way than what they are used to, they start to bug out, loose motivation and give people up when they are caught. textbook bully's

    ReplyDelete
  37. @ 12:42 PM - The "bully" concept you're talking about or unchecked machismo, can be found in ANY culture throughout the world, including the United States. Being a bully or not does not determine whether someone will "fold" under pressure. It's not a healthy state of mind to be preoccupied with reveling in the humiliation of others. It is enough for an offender to be brought to justice. Gloating and smug celebration is being a bully in reverse and reactionary. Passive agression is every bit as pathetic as any other form of hostility. Why not use you education to think of possible solutions to the obviously glarring lack of positive role models, because this kind of psycho-analysis is not only unhelpful but comes off as weak and like sour grapes.

    ReplyDelete

  42. Administration and all,

It is obvious that credit is not dicimonated as it should be.

The capture of the 2 & 3 significant cartel capos goes to one person.

Colombian National Police, retired general Óscar Naranjo.

He is now in charge and has offices in D.C. and Langley Virginia.

    Figure it out.

  43. what is 1:38 talking about, i didn't sense any gloating in talking about bully's, so do you read bb to what, figure out societies problems or to get a bead on what is happening? did he name names, no, was this guy your brother, lover? did someone somewhere give you a swirly? if so or, if not, what do you care? all these cartel boss guys are bully's and to talk a little shit before or after they are caught isn't even in the same universe as what these guys have done and have had done to innocents and even the guys who were in the game

and being palabras de los machos, on the internet, makes one a "beta", otherwise known as wanna-be.

I have lost family in this war who were innocents, and we are never "players" as you put it. In my family we look down on the choice to become involved with the scum life.
