Although it's true that [current Governor of Tabasco] Arturo Nunez initiated the accusations of the Tabasco depredations, in the end, it will be the Enrique Pena Nieto government which will be responsible for pulling the chestnuts out of the fire.
The arrest of Jose Manuel Saiz Pineda, former Secretary of Finance in the government of Andres Granier, is no longer news. No; in any case, the news would be that during the first hours that he spent in the hands of the PGR (Attorney General) -- before he was delivered to the Tabasco Attorney General-- Saiz Pineda entered into an agreement to inform against all the "band of compadres" who looted Tabasco during the most recent six-year administration.
That's because, according to official information, the arrest of the former Tabasco Secretary of Finance "is just the tip of the iceberg" of an offensive scheme of corruption and looting that goes beyond Andres Granier and Jose Manuel Saiz Pineda. In reality, the PGR is going after the whole gang, made up of at least five people, all of them close friends of the former governor.
The funny things, however, is that, while the PGR is following the trail of the money, the looting and the corruption, the government of Arturo Nunez does not have a single bit of evidence to arrest Saiz Pineda, much less Granier Melo. Well, the Nunez people were not even capable of showing that the more than 88 million pesos seized from the former Secretary of Finance came from the state government. That's why they could not establish his official responsibility.
Despite that, the PGR "blood hounds" know that Jose Manuel Saiz Pineda is a key player in the looting of Tabasco state funds that took place during the Andres Granier administration, and that, "with his cooperation," the entire gang will be brought down.
For that reason, too, when he learned of Saiz Pineda's possible deal with the PGR, former governor Granier sent the message that he was willing to negotiate. He said in an interview that he would present himself to give a statement, which can be translated as a public offer to surrender himself in exchange for a political deal.
But one should ask, who is Jose Manuel Saiz Pineda?
1. It's not true he was always a wealthy man, as his defense lawyer has claimed. In reality, he comes from humble origins, product of a work culture and, because of his talent for finance, he became the accountant for a good number of Tabasco, Yucatan, Campeche and Chiapas potentates.
2. Of course, before he became the Secretary of Finance for the Granier administration, he was already well known as a "magician" for money laundering and tax evasion. Thanks to those "fine arts", not a few businessmen from Tabasco and from all the Southeast delivered the accounting of their firms into his hands, knowing full well that Saiz Pineda would come back with clean money, with money in foreign bank accounts, ready to fatten fortunes.
3. In fact, the 88.5 million pesos that the government of Tabasco seized did not come out of the administration's public coffers, but rather, they belong -- or belonged -- to one of his clients, who was weeping in the corners but who. for obvious reasons, cannot claim it. And the best evidence for this hypothesis is that in the first images, the stacks of money had the bank's wrappers, which were then switched for rubber bands. Why that subtle change? Because bank wraps are the money's DNA.
4. In reality, Jose Manuel Saiz Pineda became a nouveau riche with dizzying speed, as a result of his ability for tax evasion for his clients, qualities that earned him juicy profits he made no effort to conceal. Thanks also to those abilities, he was summoned by Granier, who required his services, not to better use public funds, but to steal them without leaving tracks.
5. It's laughable that the government of Arturo Nunez produced, as proof of Saiz Pineda's (illegal) enrichment, the image of a Ferrari F430, worth $370,000.00, and four motorcycles worth $80,000.00, when Saiz actually owned a fleet of six different Ferrari cars -- among other luxury vehicles --, in addition to properties in different vacation locations in this and other countries.
The curious thing about all this, however, is that even though it was Tabasco Governor Arturo Nunez who initiated the denunciation and the looting scandal in Tabasco, after pressure from AMLO and because of social pressure, in the end it will be Enrique Pena Nieto's government which will be responsible for pulling the chestnuts out of the fire. We still need to know who is in the gang of looters of Tabasco public money in Andres Granier's government. Because of lack of space, that part of the story will be a later article.
I don't get it ??? how do you get away with driving a Ferrari like that in Mexico ?
ReplyDeleteCan you even drive a ferrari around in mexico?
ReplyDeleteIts funny if you gain a lot of money you better be able to show where it came from because if you got it in an unhonest fashion you most likely will never be around to enjoy it or flaunt it.
ReplyDeleteAsking Pena Nieto to investigate corrupt Priistas is like handing the keys of the prison to the prison inmates. Priistas don't go after other Priistas. The EPN government will be probably drag out the investigation of the ex-Tabasco Gov. Granier and his secretary finance Saiz Pineda, the media coverage will die down, and the supreme court of Mexico will get them off on some technicality. These guys sucked Tabasco dry. The Priista tradition of looting the coffers of the federal govt., unions, and state governments is alive and well. As far as that grandma "la Chucky" is concerned, she apparently switched alliances from the Priistas to the Panistas once Fox became President. She bit that hand that feeds: PRI. That might be the reason EPN is going after her, however, for the right amount of money, she will probably be allowed to walk eventually.
ReplyDelete1. Mexican Govt is going to keep this war going as long as they can profiteer, while killing their own people as if they are merely casualties of war.
ReplyDelete2. Then when the Republican Party gets back in control of the American Govt and white house.... they will use the drug war to occupy Mexico, and claim it as a drug war on Americans to the American People, and Claim it as a Drug War to help Mexican People to make them swallow it down, as the Military Occupation will kill more Mexican People, that will come, along with stealing the Oil and Riches from Mexico to Compensate for the War on Drugs from the Military Occupation... Many will suffer, many will die... and the Migration doors will be closed for Decades to Come for lack of trust and Border Security.
Calderon, killed many mexican people as he could to put into place his own people. It is that simple. It has crippled the Mexican Economy and a Place to Vacation and Spend Money for American People , which helps both.
President Obama a Democrat wanted to help the Mexican People to improve their economy, and bring more commerce to Mexico than China... but the Republicans from America, are fighting that with the Republican Congress Majority, because of the Kickback legislation and kickback deals the Republican Govt in America has already made.
The People In Mexico, need to vote all of the Party who and which is killing their own people with this Drug war Propaganda.
It has been long enough as proof the Drug War is nothing more and nothing less than Propaganda at the expense of the lives of the Mexican and American People who are not involved in the drug war in mexico.
Please 1:30 am, if your gonna ramble off a whole lotta nonsense about nothing. " keep it short " because that was painful...
ReplyDeleteYes yo can drive a Ferrari in Mexico but you can't in the us deal with it.

ReplyDeleteWhich ones in Mexico I'd like to know please what towns and cities are safe?
Deleteyou wrote: "who was weeping in the corners but who. for obvious reasons, cannot claim it."
ReplyDeletehaha, well said
I know most US citizens would like to see Mexico as a country so poor that it has mostly dirt roads. Moreover, people here seem to think that wealthy Mexican people are those that just make enough to be at the level of people on food stamps here. Not the case in several Mexican parts of Mexico. In a study done in 2007 it was determined that Mexico bought like 10 to 1 Hummers compared to the USA. That ex-syndicate leader Gordillo aka "Chucky" bought 59 Hummer H3 to give her corrupt thieves for there help. Yeah, most are going to claim that dope money or stolen money is the only way for this people to buy such a vehicle. Surprise again, although many of this high end vehicles end up in the hands of drug lords far too many more end up in the hands of the kids of rich Mexicans that want to please their brats. BTW, Mexico is seen by many the same way that New York City see people from Texas. They could not believe that in Houston, Texas we used a car more than a horse. They were also surprised I wasn't wearing boots, jeans and a hat.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be kinda hard on the Ferrari driving it around in Mexico with all those topes banging up the suspension & rocks chipping the paint job...I've never seen one but seen a lot of large trucks like Escalades & stuff around. AND if you do drive a Ferrari in Mexico, I suppose you would have a bodyguard so not to get jacked in the wrong part of the city.....
ReplyDelete@1:30, Republican kick backs? Obama cares about Mexico and China? Are you fucking retarded? Have you not heard of the BILLIONS that his buddies got in "kick backs" with his green energy bullshit? We are talking a %90 failed investment in companies that were tax payers money, guaranteed loans to his biggest donors. This Administration has been run like a third world, as far as corruption and pay offs. People like you scare me. You actually believe that Obama is out for anyone but himself and his buddies and you think that the government is something that is supposed to be used to help everyone. The government has constraints that The Constitution says, and these guy walk around it to make each other rich. And how in the hell does Obama care about anyone when he decides to send arms to Syrian rebels? The SAME people who our troops are fighting will now have weapons given to them by our President. How 'caring' is that? Obama has spent more debt than every other president before hime times 2! 16 trillion dollars in debt, and we were only 8.5 trillion in debt when he took office. And he called Bush 'unpatriotic' for the debt at the time. Where did all that money go? For god sakes, Obama will let you have a 10 min conversation with him face to face for a half million dollar donation to his campaign! How is that not cronyism and flat out corruption? You liberal fucking retard!!
ReplyDeleteHey relax dude you 've made some valid points and 1:30 himself except for US going to use the drug war to occupy mexico I disagree with that one but I guess it all depends on what party your representings or what partys views your using for example a democrat claims he for the middle class I beg to differ cause I'm from Illinois which is considered a blue state and guess what the democrats have ruined Illinois it is so expensive we need pension reform gas is the highest in the nation in the city of chicago property taxes are killing us sales tax were getting taxed to death remember the majority of politicians red or blue are in it for themselves and guess who pays them we the tax payers .

Preach brother preach, educate these fools about"green energy"and why so many politicians back it?It is such a righteous and safe topic, and all the while huge investments in bullshit ideas to make us all safe, wind farms, water, solar panels, heat pumps, tidal power, waste, etc?Do you know how much this all costs?I am not for one political side or the other, they are all corrupt to differing degrees to me.You couldn't make this shit up!

ReplyDeleteMany, big part of the country is quite safe, leave out the states that share border with the US and some other areas where there´s trouble and the rest is ok, San Cristóbal, Oaxaca, Guanajuato, Puebla, Cholula, Pachuca, Querétaro,... just to name a few, bigger cities will have some rough neighborhoods but just like any other city of similar size in the world.
Problem is that where it´s bad it is really bad, but keep in mind that México is huge and most news about violence mention the same places, the rest of the country simply rarely make the news because not a lot happens.
Erik
ReplyDeleteDude your making assumptions if you believe most people think like that?A few of the richest men on the planet are Mexican,it has natural mineral wealth,56% Copper,15% Gold,10% Iron ore,10% Zinc, where is all this wealth going?Wouldn't it be constructive if all this wealth was spread amongst Mexicans, after all,who owns it?In reality it is a clique of influential,s and extended families who are super rich and as you say their children's children.
i want to drive that car can i drive in mexico safetly?
ReplyDeletethere are several cars in select cities.. Mexico is huge..http://youtu.be/XQsAggwfJfM
