8-10-12 UPDATE AT BOTTOM OF SLP KILLINGS One victim escaped...

Van where 14 bodies were dumped and the gas staion where one victim escaped

Mexico’s Bloody Week In August –Death Toll At least 36 In 2 Days

In the latest report of killings it is a  mass murder with a death count of 14 left in a van (21 in total in S).  A total 36 in a little over 2 days.  These include multiple murders, such as five family members killed in Acapulco, 6 patrons in a bar in Mexico state and 4 women in Torreon.
At the "Pachangon Bar", gunmen entered the facility in the early hours of Wednesday and began  indiscriminately shooting patrons and employees.  There were injured victims in addition to the 6 killed.

In Torreon, Coahuila the bodies of 4 young women were discovered Wednesday outside a baseball field.  The women were between 19-24 year old, including 19 year old twins. The cause of death of the four was by strangulation.
In the latest reported murders the Attorney General of the State of  San Luis Potosí (PGJE) reported the gruesome discovery of 14 bodies, all  were men who bodies were discarded  inside a van, at kilometer 12 on the road leading from  Zacatecas to San Luis Potosi. Police reported 21 dead in total with the 14, all in SLP. (see El Universal article at bottom for details)
Via his Twitter account, the State Attorney General said the bodies were found near a gas station known as La Posta and according to the information received, the men are most likely originated from Coahuila, where  they were kidnapped.  "So far we know that the victims were kidnapped in Coahuila state, then made a stopover in Zacatecas, and on the way to this city, were killed," the state attorney said in a statement.
Although the bodies were dumped in SLP, it appears they were killed elsewhere.
The discovery was made at 4:00 Thursday morning, when the abandoned vehicle was inspected. According to the PGJE, the vehicle was obtained through a violent carjacking and it is described as a Mercedes Benz type white van with curtains on its windows and license plate TP-55240.
There are reports that there is an injured person that is related to the death of the 14 men.  Furthermore, the injured victim is hospitalized.  The circumstances were not given surrounding the injured person.
The vehicle was confiscated by the authorities to initiate investigations. After the discovery, authorities and the state police director Jose Luis Urban, and the head of the Ministry of Public Security in the State, Joel Melgar, rushed to the scene, as well as prosecutors, staff of Expert Services and Investigator agents, to begin with investigations. This occurs within 48 hours of Heliodorus Guerrero Guerrero resigned as head of the Ministry of Public Security of the State.

UPDATE 8-10-12
Looks like my orginal report of 14 dead and one injured was correct  and here are the details.  Translated from El Universal
Thursday San Luis Potosi experienced  a series of chases and shootouts, leaving three dead plus four prisoners, and the discovery of 14 bodies dumped in a truck, with one man managing  to escape this slaughter because he faked his death and fled to a mountain.
According to the federal Public Security Secretariat (SSP), that person was assisted by state police who found him after having escaped and taken to a hospital where he was reported out of danger.
The victim stated that when he realized what was happening, he pretended to be dead, allowing the sicarios to throw him into the van with the other bodies. When he determined there was an opportunity to escape as the gunmen stopped for fuel, he fled to the mountains where he was subsequently helped by elements of the State Police," he said.
On Thursday morning, a call alerted authorities about the presence of an abandoned truck with bodies inside on the road to Zacatecas. At the site were found 14 bodies bearing signs of torture and gun shots.
The violence continued in the western part of the town with gunfights and chases. In total 21 deaths were reported, including victims of the truck and the discovery of four bodies in different parts of the city, and four federal police arrested and three wounded.
In a statement, the SSP confirmed that the Federal Police learned of the presence of armed persons near the Plaza San Luis, and proceeded to the site, gunmen attacked police in the Glorieta de La Familia, which converges with the Highway 80 Tampico-Barra de Navidad.
"Los agresores disparaban desde una camioneta Pick Up, Chevrolet Sierra color gris e intentaban escapar ya que momentos antes habían sostenido un enfrentamiento con personal de la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional", refirió la dependencia. "The attackers fired from a pickup truck, Chevrolet Sierra gray and trying to escape.  It has just experienced  a confrontation with staff of the Secretariat of National Defense", said the agency.
After the attack, federal police, military and government agents continued the pursuit of the subjects, who were intercepted at the colony Balcones del Valle.
It was reported the presence of armed men in a building of the Lomas of Technology, from which several subjects were shot with rifles, which led to a clash that killed three suspected criminals and four more were secured.
These events took place when the Federal Police carried out works of inspection, monitoring security and surveillance in investigations arising from the discovery of the van with the 14 dead bodies.
Ignorant American responses don't work in Mexico, guns are highly illegal. Only criminals have them cuz of the obvious reason, the commit illegal acts. A regular person if found with a gun even for self defense would be thrown in prison, accused of being from a cartel and falsly incriminated if he's lucky to not get killed.

What did they do,to deserve that?Is there anything a woman could do to deserve that?Have they been kidnapping and killing people, beheading and dismembering?I kinda doubt it.All i know is that the people who did it don't deserve to live.
If you can kill young women, what good as a man are you?I know we gonna get the tough guys sayin"what about the bitch who cut the Zs head off then skinned the head"you know man, that was the exception, not the rule.Violence is our game, mens,so fuck us,but don't start killin women and girls. That has got to be the most skanky cowardly shit you could do.The big bad"SICARIO"sneakin around with an AK,jumpin out their jeep, and taking people.Human nature to do the least dangerous shit, except you get skanky little rats in every walk of life, more so in this game.Man,i hope the bitch who skinned the dude face gets them,a little feminine payback, and i dont want to hear the soft fuckers who say killing doesn't solve nothing.Of course it solves something,in the best, most basic way.It takes shit like these"sicarios"off the streets.Where is the problem?Seriously, where.

article 10 of the Mexican constitution allows the right to bear arms. The caliber is restricted and does no include auto weapons. Also there are many hunters in Mx I assure you they are not using spears, they also have target culbs and lastly American hunters go into Mx for hunting, I am not sure if they are allowed to bring weapons in for hunting or they use from hunting ranches and private clubs in Mx

    1. Yes it is allowed to bear arms ,there is only 1gunshop in Mexico n its controlled by the army. Yes you can get. A license to bear one which is extremely difficult unlessays your wealthy. The calibers is usually rifles 23. I think to kill deer, rabbits ect. They don't allow assault rifles to be sold like we have in the usa. If you going to post info do it.correctly disappointed at you chivis.

Border Authorities to Test Surveillance Balloons

McALLEN, Texas August 9, 2012 (AP)
Something new soon will be floating in the skies above the Texas-Mexico border as federal authorities test balloon-like military surveillance devices to see if they might help with border monitoring.

Border Patrol spokesman Henry Mendiola says the large, tethered devices called aerostats likely will take flight by Friday in the Rio Grande Valley. He could not say how many there would be nor how long the testing would last.

The devices are on loan from the Defense Department. They're often outfitted with cameras or radar in battlefield settings.

Mendiola declined to discuss what technology they would carry along the border. The test will determine if aerostats no longer needed by the military could be useful for border security.
    keep tightening the noose.

Ya forgetting the fact they havemore lieutenants n better skilled. They have good strong sicarios they control TJ,sonora are in reynosa n control sinaloa ports. This is key to staying alive. As long as you can be near water you will continue to keep going. So what if 1 gets caught there's like 10 waiting.to take that place. 50. I knew the zetas are divided this goes back a couple years and its finally led to what it is today you have to kno lazcanos actions have always been low key on the other hand z40 has always tried to make a name for himself by making alot of noise and doing a whole lot of killings to intimidate the people as well as rivals if you remember a couple years back now there are alot of zeta troops loyal to lazcano if you can remember mamito was the last of the founding group to form the zetas was at one point givin the second in command post it was takin away from z40 well that infuriated z40 to the point that all those high in command and loyal to lazcano were being captured left and right z40 was setting them up to get caught to make a long story short z40 is a loose cannon and would rather be thr leader of los zeta at any cost and I think lazcano finally realizes this if your asking how I kno some of these things also google infighting within the zeta cartel . It was a matter of time before the zetas started fighting one another question is whos more loyal to who my guess is there are or will be more loyal to lazcano like I said people know z40 nuts and doesnt like to take orders who would you take orders from one who served in the military or a car washer well see how this all plays out so look out z40 theyre all comi/g for you carteles unidos and lazcano hey as long as no innocent killings let them kill themselves enough said.

  52. I did not state anything incorrect, I think you mean incomplete. I only addressed one comment that a reader incorrectly stated citizens were not allowed guns in Mexico. That is incorrect, as well as your statement of the caliber allowed is "22". I think that most readers that are interested are capable of seeking more details on their own.

These are the easiest types of permits to get; target, hunting, collector. But then it ia a matter of people not be able to afford guns in place of other needs and at what point does one say it is a necessity?. There is a license that is difficult to get I think it is called a CCW, it is costly. The other levels of permits are not difficult to get.

Firearms that are legal for citizens to own: .380 ACP pistols, .38 Special revolvers, 12 gauge shotguns and rifles in any caliber with exceptions such as .30 Carbine, 7mm and 7.62 mm Carbines.

Permits for the transportation and use of weapons are issued for one year by SEDENA and may be applied for up to 10 firearms, for each designated use. These uses may include hunting or shooting at a club or national competition.

Ranchers on isolated ranches in particular are arming themselves for obvious reasons, that or deserting their property.

Rememer Don Alejo Garza? 77 years old. Knew he was going to die but took out 4 Zs and seriously wounded 2 in the process. He was out gunned on his ranch and against 30 armed men but he sure died a hero.

  54. Chivis, I do believe you are correct about the gun laws in Mexico. All of those laws effect the law abiding citizens, just as the ones in the US do. The bad guys will ALWAYS have guns, high capacity clips, full auto, and even more. Those people who obey the law can't even trust the police nor the Army, leaving them in such a bad spot. As we have seen in the last two weeks (old guy shooting at armed robbers at internet cafe and the gun store who the perps drove car through wall and one was shot dead by shop owner), an armed person who is obeying the law can and will change the outcome of a possible violent situation. Imagine if the people of Mexico were able to fight back, legally?

After the Aurora asshole shot up the theater, everyone is talking about gun laws. I will NEVER understand the thought process that makes one think that banning any type of gun will stop gun crimes. Bad guys will always have more guns than the good guys, and any law ever passed only effects those who obey. What better example of the good guys being left defenseless from not only to the bad guys, but from the government when they try to defend themselves? Oh Yah, South Africa. That's even a better example.

    1. No on says it will stop gun crimes, but outlawing assult rifles that will never be use for hunting, and clips that hold 50+ rounds will reduce one's ability to take multiple lives given the are not trained in close quarters combat with sidearms. Stop companies from making them, stop importing them, and there will be less and less on the street, both in the US and Mexico since they get most of their arms from the US....I love how you think a normal law abiding citizen will be able to handle a fully automatic assault rifle with a high capacity clip in the first place, LMFAO. Oh and by the "good" guys in South Africa you mean the native Africans who were defensless to the European land rapers that stole all their land and enslaved their population to produce diamonds?? Is that what you mean there Churchill????

  62. From what I know Taliban used to work way back with the CDS. Also Lazcano took out a zeta from Cancun and el Z40 in retaliation killed some of Lazcano's zetas. I was really confused when people said that 40 was in cahoots with the new president when if my memory serves me well el 40 killed some people a while back in Veracruz and left a manta against Pena Nieto. It seems the chocolate is stirred and zetas are not going down but reforming. If we can actually think about the situation the whole zeta problem was 40 vs m3 problem m3 is gone and z40 would be out the door soon meaning that Lazcano and the CDG would be one again BUT without violence cause you know el viejito (PRI) doesnt like that kind of mess but rather likes controlled crime and business thats why it would be highly unlikely that he would side with reckless ass z40 but instead with older cats like Chapo and Mayo and perhaps ordered a guns down between zetas and cdg to reach peace and take out the mierda (Z40 and rowdy (traffickers) but then again what do I know am just another reader...

  70. The Government should Teach people how to defend themselves and teach them how to use arms.. .. Govenment should stop taking bribes..
all of them are corrupt ..I am surprised that the people of mexico cannot buy their own guns.. to defend themselves or others... but gangs are alowed to have guns and normal law abiding citizens cannot ..
