Three beheadings in two different states and they happened here in the United States, not Mexico.
Former DEA supervisor Phil Jordan says all three beheadings have cartel written all over them. They happened in Arizona and Oklahoma in the past year.
A murder mystery is now unraveling on a stretch of North Reservation Road in Tucson, Ariz. County workers found a headless man lying on the side of the road Jan. 6. The man's hands and feet were reportedly missing, too.
"It would lead me to believe the message wanted to be sent. This is one of the ways they do it in Mexico, Colombia and other places," says Jordan.
Jordan says the cartels are getting bolder in carrying out their beheadings across the border. He says we only used to see these crimes in Mexico.
"They don't have any borders," says Jordan.
More than 600 miles from the border, a 19-year-old human trafficking victim was found beheaded in Oklahoma. Carina Saunders was stuffed into a bag and left in a grocery store parking lot.
"People know if they get on the wrong side of the fence, they'll be dealt with," says Jordan.
The police chief in the area says two men running the trafficking ring killed Saunders to send a message to the other victims. Jordan says the cartels' calling card is all over this case. Trafficking and smuggling are their top moneymakers. Revenge is the price of doing business.
"Definitely a cartel hit," says Jordan.
Investigators in Chandler, Ariz., say cartel operatives came from Mexico to kill 38-year-old Martin Alejandro Cota Monroy. His beheaded body was found in his apartment.
"One is too many; two is too many. Three should send an alarm," says Jordan.
He says investigators were too late to stop the killings three times in the last 12 months. Jordan says agents are trying to develop more informants to get to the cartels before they can commit the crimes. He says the cartels will only specifically target their victims and aren't interested in random beheadings.
This article emphatically implies that the the murder and dismemberment of 19 year-old Carina Saunders in Oklahoma was the work of Mexican drug cartels.
ReplyDeleteAs reported in Borderland Beat, the accused gangleader, who ordered the murder and dismemberment, which took place in front of another woman, is named Jimmy Lee Massey.
If you live in Tucson and Phoenix its pretty obvious that the major cartel there are the Sinaloa Cartel and the Beltran Leyvas, just by going to their cool parties, where the beers are endless, you will know who moves what through where. In Tucson narcos through bad ass parties!!!
ReplyDeleteThe govt is afraid of the cartels dude
ReplyDeleteWell here you have another dismemberment here in U.S. under the Hollywood sign in L.A, and this is not a movie. http://borderland-beat.924382.n3.nabble.com/Severed-head-body-parts-found-near-Hollywood-td3671582.html
ReplyDeleteI bet that head, feet and hands they found at the Hollywood sign was cartel related also. But we will continue to send criminals to prison where they can make like minded friends and recieve training to further their criminal carriers once released upon the public. Look at how these kids try to copy the prison culture. I bet if you look back at prison vs. increasing violence in america you can draw a straight line. We need to look into the past to see what changed in american prison when crime started to increase in the streets.
ReplyDeleteWhat about that 9 year old girl in Indiana? Was that the work of the cartel? C'mon!! You should worry about Iran not Mexican cartels.
ReplyDeleteThe US Fed argument that Mx Crime Narco etc is not in the US is Political BS intended to play to the US Latino Voters. The thing that makes me freak is that calling the Fed dogs off and not strongly supporting local law, is probably more harmful and disruptive to Latinos ,in the long run, than any other sub culture group in the US. Go Oboma??

ReplyDeleteafraid? lol the United States would squash these cartels like roaches.
@9:30 that's one sentence to describe the tremendous difficulty to repair the social fabric that has been infiltrated and destroyed by the cartels - their grasp reaches far into the united states - there are millions and millions of mexicans who are related to cartels living in Los Angeles alone.
ReplyDeleteYour statement is incomplete, and so is mine. I realize they will "crush" them in battles. But invading their own turf you will see alot of soldiers' heads on stakes.
"You should worry about Iran not Mexican cartels", Where do you live? Unless your in Israel your a fucking idiot, I live in Tucson, AZ. and I can tell you that I see direct violence and threats from cartel/drug violence everyday, not to mention the social destruction being brought on by Meth which the cartels are producing more and more of by the fuck load. Ive never had ANY Iranians cause any harm or damage to my community, and last I checked they werent tunneling under our border like a bunch of fucking cockroaches. Try telling the millions of good innocent Mexican citizens living in fear on their side ov the border that a war with the middle east is their biggest hope to live a normal life. The Iranians are all bark, while if you spend anytime on BB or other narco sites you will see that the cartels are a current threat to millions of people right now.
ReplyDeleteWow. I live in California and the hollywood sign is onky like 30mims away. If this keeps on happening my ass is going to move to good old canada.
ReplyDelete@ 10:50, a lot of soldiers heads on stakes? no it will be the other way around. The CIA is still the best at torture.

ReplyDelete"It would lead me to believe the message wanted to be sent. This is one of the ways they do it in Mexico, Colombia and other places,"
ReplyDeletethis is bs there have been dismmberings and brutal tortures in the USA since a long time, how bout starting when the europeans took america... for just 1 example in the 90s they found a few drug dealers with there faces missing and some decapitated and missing limbs around my area in new york (this was the work of african american or jamaican dealers)_my friend saw a kid get decapitated right in front of him in the streets of brooklyn back in 88 and bodies have been found in bags and boxes, river, lakes, buried here in the city for years dont believe the official lies. now i dont condone the extreme violence and im not saying its as wide spread as places like colombia or somalia etc. but these american media outlets try to act like nobody has ever been beheaded or worse here in usa, alot of people know that the truth is ugly and horrific if ever exposed fully_basicaly, they paint a pretty picture of the states just to get people to move here.
to ALL citizens of the good 'ol U.S of A who insist on blaming the cartels & Mexico for your drug problems & now the violence.Could you please enlighten us & tell all of us BB readers what cartel John Wayne Gayce,Jeffrey Dahmer & Susan Atkins belonged to?those are just 3 of the sicarios I could think of right off hand...

ReplyDeleteAll of those serial killers you mentioned were caught and died in prison decades ago. what do they have to do with Mexico's total breakdown of society? there are HUNDREDS of serial killers on the loose in Mexico who act with impunity. the cartels are responsible for much worse atrocities: disolving bodies in caustic acid, massacres, children siscarios, executing bound immigrants with sledgehammers, decapitations, live dismemberment just to name a few. these things are happening in Mexico TODAY
Will forensics help when there is no real motive?
ReplyDeleteI myself; who has lived in Mexico and loved both the people as well as the lifestyle and
ReplyDeletehave family property in Baja; would not set foot in the "New Mexico" ! I cannot imagine
going to bed or waking up daily to the thought
that I could be murdered at anytime on the whim
of a Young Punk with an I.Q. of 4 (and I'm giving him 3 points)and then have to have a
closed casket at my funeral because 50% of my body is missing! The worst part about present
day Mexico is even the government is involved
with the murders in some form or another.
