I was on Oxy for 2 weeks and didn't get addicted, nor did I experience withdrawals. It helps that I followed the prescribed instructions though, rather than popping more because the pain still sucked on some days. I actually couldn't wait to be done with the crap, the loss of motor control drove me nuts.

Ever since then I decided I'd deal with the pain by using normal doses of aspirin, or a drink or two at night, and then sucking it up through the pain. I have plenty of days that suck, but I will never allow myself to be prescribed that stuff again. Physical therapy also helps, but is still sadly only temporary.

KBAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-19575999255494404002018-05-29T08:36:42.922-06:002018-05-29T08:36:42.922-06:00Prince the singer, was a drug user, and died from ...Prince the singer, was a drug user, and died from a dose of Fentanyl. The underlying psychological problems (depression, extreme self-loathing, emotional traumas, etc.) that cause people to seek out and become physically and mentally dependent on substances are diseases in many cases. It’s not the dependency on a certain substance that keeps people “addicted”, it is the unresolved psychological issues.
