This way the corrupt police protected their buddies from harm in their vile task, by ensuring these putos had only to face defenseless people.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-6167767183886729122011-04-03T19:11:14.737-06:002011-04-03T19:11:14.737-06:00the toll is climbing in juarez ..TWENTY KILLED in ...the toll is climbing in juarez ..TWENTY KILLED in 24 hours..

Reuters Video

http://news.yahoo.com/video/world-15749633/24762972

Updated news link:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20110403/wl_afp/mexicocrimedrugsmurder_20110403011115Buelanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-46204776648168533952011-04-03T18:38:32.115-06:002011-04-03T18:38:32.115-06:00It is a common practice that in "Frontera Chi...It is a common practice that in "Frontera Chikita' region valuables left over by the dead after shoot outs are taken by military as spoils of war, I know because I have close relative who get called in to strip vehicles off their valuables, i.e. rims, tires, radios, motors, transmissions etc, later to be sold for cash.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-90206135818728752022011-04-03T14:44:40.128-06:002011-04-03T14:44:40.128-06:00No Ajulio...Mexico has no heroesNo Ajulio...Mexico has no heroesBuelanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-17100295602370222742011-04-03T13:33:51.494-06:002011-04-03T13:33:51.494-06:00Are you serious man?!

The government unleashed this monster and the corruption is so entrenched and widespread that I have little hope that things will change in a meaningful way.

We have all been subjected to police or military checks where they shake you down for some money. Just 2 days ago north of Monterrey's airport, I was stopped and advised that it was "illegal to have more than 1 suitcase per person" and we would have to be taken in. $40 later and we were back on the road.

It is sad to see what a beautiful and proud country has become. I don't know if I will ever see a return to the more secure days. There is just too much money involved.... Unless serious efforts are made to clean house from the top down and attach a special penalty for violating the public trust, nothing will ever change.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-20963691093527626382011-04-03T08:37:05.549-06:002011-04-03T08:37:05.549-06:00The idea of creating ONE law enforcement entity in...The idea of creating ONE law enforcement entity in Mexico is...(there is not word available anywhere for it)..
Law enforcement in the U.S. works because you have at least 5 different law agencies that can protect the citizens. You have your city police, then the county sheriff, the constables, the state troopers, the FBI,etc, etc. It is difficult to bribe them all!!!
Can you all imagine just ONE level of protection?? Mexico is a narco state and has been for a very long time. Too many people in government post have a hand in the cookie jar and have absolutely no plan what so ever in ending or muchless creating a dent in a very profitable business.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
