Simple drug ...Why has the US tolerated drug abuse?? Simple drug test every SOB dirty no govt handout,no welfare ,no tax supported nothing. I am sick of working 12hrs a day paying for deadbeats and dopers, sick of the crime fueled by these peoples self indulgence. Just think of the benefits to this country before sqeeling about liberal politics.

I would support a something like this, where anyone recieving foodstamps or government benefits to be susceptible drug tests in order to recieve and renew benefits. It would definately make people reconsider initiating drug abuse. But think about the socialist arguement that might erupt. Also, since drugs are not just abused by the lower class, social programs/benefits might take a negative connotation within society. The consequences of this might be devistating as it is already difficult to get individuals to seek proper help and social services.
Unfortunately, individuals who abuse drugs and/or addicts can become chemically dependent on the drug that they have already neglected to realize the consequences. In reality the only individuals that would feel the repurcussions of such a policy (above)would be the children or family members of those abusing drugs and recieving government benfits.
I think your onto something, it just needs to be polished. Policy and enforcement seem to simply exacerbate the problem. The solution is in Prevention, Prevention Curriculum, and Prevention Programs. Get them before they get hooked and exposed. Prevention works better than enforcement. It saves tax payers money, yet it is not funded nearly as much as enforcement. Prevention works.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-87559101234341696562010-11-02T09:17:26.372-06:002010-11-02T09:17:26.372-06:00Why has the US tolerated drug abuse?? They definitely have the by far largest hand in the 'regular/mexican product', but in probably at least 90% of the 'chronic' (high grade) mairjuana is independent dealers/growers/other organized crime. Legalizing it in California would probably affect a little of the business, but until every state in the continental US legalizes it there are plenty of markets.Jnoreply@blogger.com
