I'm saying its OUR laws that create this mega-dynasty profitable drug machine for Mexico. From what I've read, mj is their #1 profit since most of it is grown in country. Sure, heroin and cocaine would continue to be pushed/profited but decriminalizing/legalizing weed would not increase the demand for cocaine or heroin. They can't just replace it the void of weed w more coke and heroin. That's not how supply and demand works.

Now, they could replace the void of marijuana money w other crimes such as kidnapping, extortion, etc. THAT would be a valid argument.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-11363171170920739552011-06-13T20:15:09.954-06:002011-06-13T20:15:09.954-06:00thanks B..these anymouses ..and flys don't hav...thanks B..these anymouses ..and flys don't have a chance...being surrounded is what i call a target rich environment.......the one who was trying to school me about spelling was a classic....jajjaja

gee ard

when you get your ass bitch smacked enough ..you are capable of making some lucid comments

why don't you play nice and spare yourself the lumps?'lito'britonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-45448922893391175152011-06-13T20:00:20.001-06:002011-06-13T20:00:20.001-06:00Wow, another post claiming the most debates. Maybe decriminalize the users but not legalization.'

You have to not only legalize the hard stuff, too, but also regulate its production some to make the hard stuff less dangerous. If not, history has shown us that when all is made consistently illegal, that nastier and nastier substances are then produced illegally and then abused by the more criminalized (by the elites) sectors of the population.

Think about it for a minute or two/// If codeine and morphine had not been criminalized except when dispensed by medical doctors, more likely than not, heroin would never have begun to flourish as it has. If marijuana had not become the drug of choice for the cops to persecute people for using in the '60s and '70s, it is very doubtful that all the post '60s era drugs would have sprouted forth like nastier and more venomous toad stools, each one more harmful than the previous 'In' substance.

Harsh law enforcement of illogical and persecutory laws actually creates the criminalized substrata of society that demands worse and more destructive substances to use/ abuse.

When I did work in a prison clinic, I discovered that Tylenol was being ground up and smoked by the prisoners in the State of Texas concentration camp I was employed at. Dangerous stuff, as Tylenol is very destructive to the kidneys. But create worse and worse conditions (by criminalizing drugs and creating generalized poverty and jails all over the place), and you create worse and worse abusers of drugs. You create gangs and cartels originated by jail house gangs during their lockups.

Funny how so many of all these Right Wing so-called Libertarians do support all this war and criminalization of personal vices by Big Government. I's the goose stepping portion of the Libertarian US crowd, I think. And the largest portion of the I Love 'Free' Enterprise folk, too.

They talk about freedom but want to micromanage the poorer strata of society's conduct for them. It's always ...'Do that and you go to jail!' .... for others, of course. Did we learn nothing from prohibition? It did not stop alcohol. It only created an illegal underground market for it. Just as our criminalizing drug laws have created an illegal underground market, and VERY profitable, drug market. If the demand is there, a supplier will find a way to meet that demand...legally, or not. ALWAYS.
Ever notice that the cartels don't smuggle booze or cigs? They would if it were illegal. The answer is to start decriminalizing drugs, my friends. There are various degrees in which to do this, and many an option will need to be pro'd and con'd to see what the most logical approach would be. But the botton line is we need to change our entire process of thinking, here. Start with decriminalizing marijuana and see where that leads us.
As far as hard drugs go...that's a tough one. I can say however, that if cocaine or heroin were not just decriminalized but legalized tomorrow, it would not have an effect on my decision not to use the stuff. I'm educated, and have done my research and conclude that they are dangerous and not for me. If others can't make that decision for themselves, well....I think they call it natural selection. That problem could take care of its self. (Meaning junkies eventually die)

I don't think I'd ever advocate legalizing the hard stuff. Maybe decriminalize the users but not legalization. As far as marijuana goes? Definitely massively decriminalize, and possibly legalize. (AND TAX!!) There aren't any valid reasons not to.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-76448511775159449472011-06-13T13:28:36.896-06:002011-06-13T13:28:36.896-06:00Why Dont all the people here go to matamoros or re...Why Dont all the people here go to matamoros or reynosa and join the gulf since you guys like to talk shit all day and say MATA ZETAS!hahahaha.we know you hate the zetas so do you really have to keep saying the samethings over and over.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-46338909416053221392011-06-13T13:20:00.606-06:002011-06-13T13:20:00.606-06:00This is ridiculous. Risk of trafficking, created by OUR criminilizing drugs is what drives up the prices and makes it a lucrative trend. Lucrative enough for cartels to fight wars over. Prohibition did not stop booze. Criminalization did not stop drugs. Cartels do not smuggle booze or tobacco bc there is NO $ in it. If we made them illegal....there would be money it and they would smuggle that too. The logical answer: Reverse the process and start massively decriminializng what they profit in. Drugs. Start with marijuana, and see where it leads us. Not sure about cocaine and heroin. That may be a sketchy call. However... I can say that legalizing coke or heroin would not tempt me anymore to use them. I've done my research and that stuff is dangerous. And, maybe in a natural selection sort of way, the junkies would die off on their own. But weed? Really? C'mon.
