You would take the bus for .10 to El Paso and walk to Juarez. Or go to the Bar Sevilla in El Paso and listen to Pepito sing and play flamenco. All of this on a pay of $120.00 a month.

AhhhhSantiago-Del Rionoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-33708936033285235822010-08-30T15:41:30.029-06:002010-08-30T15:41:30.029-06:00FUCK THE WAR ON DRUGS! I'm talking in the tens or hundreds of thousands, or more. What would the Obama Administration do, send large numbers of US Military to bar/evict them? Can you imagine photos and videos of those scenes posted and broadcast worldwide? The US refusing its desperate neighbors basic humanitarian relief/aid while supposedly fighting for it world wide: Afghanistan, Iraq, Columbia, etc.?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-26713293406428138972010-08-30T13:29:45.063-06:002010-08-30T13:29:45.063-06:00Things were not like that when I grew up there in ...Things were not like that when I grew up there in the early 80's; you could walk the streets in relative safety, sure there was a problem with the abduction of women but so long as you kept yourself in reasonable place, it wasn't a problem. Toady...not so much, when my significant other asked me to take her to Juarez I refused... Too dangerous these day, I don't feel comfortable walking around the city anymore. Its dangerous as hell in my hometown.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-31239450015260892912010-08-30T09:25:49.115-06:002010-08-30T09:25:49.115-06:00I still can't fathom that this is the norm in ...I still can't fathom that this is the norm in Juarez, it's unbelievable.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-6297496487821402562010-08-30T08:36:42.256-06:002010-08-30T08:36:42.256-06:00The death penalty appears to be an effective deter...The death penalty appears to be an effective deterrant to law enforcment, or disobedience to criminal demands in Mx. Public executions, display of bodys for hundreds of years this was a tactic of govts, not in Mx the roles are reversed,Gangs intimidate and manipulate the public and the govt. Is this a first? Was Columbia this bad? Is Mexico Govt this weak? How can some form of order take control?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195137745759962560.post-77133436225112369682010-08-30T08:26:02.220-06:002010-08-30T08:26:02.220-06:00BB You have hit it out the ball park this past wee...BB You have hit it out the ball park this past week for me covering areas that have permanent residency in my mind...this brings me to one.
I have posted my frustration that in Juarez since 2008 over 6K murders but Juarez'Maquilas move about in virtual safety with one murder..though I think there have been 2 recent additions.
