"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

As a result of the effective response to reports made to emergency hotlines, officers of the Civil Guard arrested three alleged hitmen and drug distributors in Morelia, who identified themselves as members of "Los Troyanos", an armed group of the Knights Templar Cartel.

In response to a citizen report of suspected drug dealers, agents of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) were deployed to the vicinity of the Adolfo López Mateos neighborhood in this municipality, where three men were seen on board a vehicle and stopped.

Upon inspection, a .223mm long gun and a .38 handgun were found among their belongings, as well as a magazine, 30 rounds, and 28 packages with green and dry grass, apparently marijuana.

As a result, the accused and the seized items were taken to the corresponding authorities to carry out the corresponding proceedings; while the SSP elements continued their work in the area to prevent and dissuade more possible crimes.
