CSRL & CDG Leave Woman Hung From Bridge, Message Written on Her Body

"HEARST" and "Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

In Guanajuato, a woman was hung from a bridge with a narco message written on her body that was signed by the CSRL. The next day a group of hitmen shot up the front of the town’s police station and mayor’s office.

The Region

The following took place in Tarimoro municipality, located in the state of Guanajuato. The state is currently being fought over by the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) and a loose alliance of rivals headed by the Cártel de Santa Rosa de Lima (CSRL).

Tarimoro lies just south of the city of Celaya, which is a major battle ground for the CJNG vs CSRL struggle. For more information on the current CJNG and CSRL figures on both sides, please see this previous story.

Woman Found Hanging from Bridge with Message from CSRL

At approximately 11:00 pm on the night of February 7, the emergency phone line received a call from a driver who reported that a body was hanging from the La Moncada bridge. The bridge is located in Tarimoro, where Highway 51 crosses over Hidalgo Street.

Officers were dispatched to check on the location and when they arrived they found that a deceased woman had been hung from the bridge, with a narco message written on her body. Paramedics later confirmed that she no longer had vital signs.

Newspaper El Sol del Bajío writes that “initial reports indicate that the woman’s body showed signs of torture and that she was left at the location by subjects who fled in an unknown direction after killing her.”

The writing on her body reads as follows, as translated by Sol Prendido:

This was her fate for supporting that jerk off Coro.

CSRL. Yours truly,

Special Forces in service of Mr. Marro

With the support of Cártel del Golfo

The alliance between the CSRL and a CDG group, called Grupo Escorpiones, was announced in a video posted a few months ago, in November 2022. To see the video and an English translation, please see this previous story

Last year the CSRL left a set of similar messages in this same municipality of Tarimoro, after shooting ten dead at a billiards hall.

In that case, however they referred to the “chaquetero” or jerk off as being Zermeño, the alias of a CJNG figure thought to be named Santiago Quiroz Zermeno, however there is some dispute around his identity and whether he was killed (covered in more detail here).

The CJNG later released a banner denouncing the CSRL attack.

In September 2022, the CSRL used similar language to describe Zermeno in a message they left in Tarimore which accompanied a decapitated head

It is currently unclear who the man referenced in the message, “El Coro”, is however more information may emerge in the coming month.

Attack on Mayor & Police of Tarimoro

The next day, at 6:30a, two vehicles full of hitmen arrived outside the city hall of Tarimoro, which has the mayor's office inside, and opened fire on the front of the building and at the people standing near it.  A municipal health services worker, 39-year-old María, who was walking to work received a gunshot injury.

The hitmen then drove to the municipal police station, located about a block and half away. There they shot up the front of the building in a similar fashion, this hitting a 50-year-old municipal traffic cop named José Andrés who was sitting in his patrol car parked outside.

José Andrés stepped out of his vehicle and attempted to run to cover but he was gunned down on the sidewalk as he ran.

    2. Whoever did it seems pretty desperate. Someone in control doesn’t have to do sloppy crap like that.

    1. Most of these motherfuckers are high as a kite almost everyday.
That is the reason they are "brave".
More so during anticipated gun fights.
Without shit up their noses they wouldn't do shit.

    2. 1:12 I really wonder how they deal with crashing all the time on meth. I’ve been using just addy lately and the crash is so much worse than cocaine’s. Amphetamine crashes are fucked. Maybe they got plenty of benzos on hand or something because even booze doesn’t really help.

    3. No that’s the whole reason they do the crazy ass stuff they do. They don’t come down they just use more and more and go on crash dummy mission after mission and end up getting killed. It’s a very nasty and brutal cycle. This is what addiction looks like.

    4. @2:19, what's legal over the counter there now, if you know. I haven't went down there in a while but back in the day you could even get flunitrazapam over the counter and stuff some pharmacies wouldn't sell you a shady doctor with a desk full of pills would sell you anything. Also anabolic steroids were perfectly legal. I know the stuff with steroids changed after the DEAs "operation gear grinder" but I wonder what else changed if you know. I'm not condoning people going down there to buy stuff, I've just always found the stark differences on legality interesting between the two countries. Thanks

  5. They're not fighting in Reynosa. Either way, it seems like they do. They're in Veracruz, San Luis Potosi, and here fighting. It surprised me to, didn't think they were strong enough for all that. Goes to show us how much we know. I don't know how true this is, but I heard Contador's bother in law is trying to get Kena's spot by force. I haven't seen anything to suggest that, but alot also goes unreported so who knows

  7. For those that haven’t been too familiar with the alliances during amlo’s presidential term CSRL is still a Zeta off shoot faction just rebranded with a whole new name Z22 was fighting the CJNG in Guanajuato since 2017 before the group was rebranded after his arrest, Escorpiones & Ciclones have had an alliance with ZVE since they’re break off with CDN and have had various wings under them one of the groups being called Los Numeros fighting CJNG in Veracruz as well and Los Dorados in Nuevo Leon

    1. Good info. Cdg matamoros is still more powerful than people give them credit for. I wonder how long before they go to war with the metros again and try to take reynosa and bring it into the fold.

    2. Guaranteed that I will not remember any of it (my narco info recall is shot) but thank you nontheless. Anybody else run into this issue? After awhile the details and names of various groups/individuals seems to wind up in a a mental cheese grinder.
