Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua: The Los Mexicles Gang Members Punish Local Uber Drivers

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Alleged Los Mexicles gang members apply corporal punishment to local Uber drivers for refusing to pay 300 pesos as part of an extortion.

The drivers were at kilometer 20 when the mob arrived to demand the money. A passenger told the thugs that he was not a driver and only a client of the ridesharing program.

They still charged him the 300 pesos.

A .38 is the largest you can legally get in Mexico. It's something like a .22 for a rifle. I would let them have RPG's if it were up to me. Besides, those wooden paddles won't provide much defense to a .38.

  3. Man thanks so much for the info and the link for the video and the incredible strength displayed by the perpetrators of the paddling, wow

Fuck an Uber, which is the safest way to travel over there? What

Mexicans threaten and tax other Latin criminals and deal with them accordingly. Do you really think non Mexican criminal groups have the upper hand in the gangster world? In the U.S, Mexican descent gangs are the ones calling the shots not some Salvadorians, Colombians, Peruvians, Brazilians, etc!

    10. @ 610 Mexican DTO's have long been in Colombia investing in their own production of coke all the way down to the HCL labs. Why are Ecuadorians in prisons claiming allegiance to Mexican DTO's and killing each other. Mexico has a powerful influence in the South American Coke trade. Sorry to ruin YOUR day! LOL

    1. This was not done because of drugs but because these Uber drivers are transporting migrants.
Mexicles basically own the migrant trade in Juarez and these Ubers are their competition albeit somewhat legal.
Mexicles just want a cut of the pie.

  8. There's more than likely 99.99% of you on here that can't remember a date not long ago where you'd be pulled out of class at any public school as a child/student here in these great lands of the you know... United States of America... to get a couple of swats by your class teacher or sent to the principal to get'em to. Then you all became special and so here in cuidad Juarez as an adult you get the paddle you thought your offspring was so well unworthy of and beyond you having as their caretaker who sent them with no care to be taken care by another. This free school you didn't get enough of cost pard and right about now the whole swat is happening. Time to teach yours was about getting somewhere. For mine that plan never changes. Because you see we're into beating erbodys ass. You gone feel uh stranglehold!

    3. The violence we all endured as children of Mexico and America, everywhere probably; is what made some into violent monsters, brainwashed away. I was a 14 year old US A Freshman in Houston, TX saw an upper class man stabbed in the lunch line. It was at a paddling high school of mostly abused kids….didn’t help any of it. Bird songs and freedom, grow vegetables, stop manipulating and just be kind to each other = much better idea. Peace out Bro

  16. Los "uber" are known as people who gives service off the app. Also long distance travels for a fraction of costs from Juarez to Chihuahua. Is common now for them to transport immigrants for a convenient rate given the risks, this is an example. Regular uber drivers dont tend to dont give service out of town or to people without the app.
