Alleged Chapitos Hitmen Say Mayo Betrayed Them - Part 2

"Sol Prendido" and "HEARST" for Borderland Beat

Another audio clip of hitmen alleging that Mayo handed over Ovidio’s location has emerged online.

Another Claim of Betrayal

An audio clip that allegedly depicts communications from Chapitos hitmen has emerged online. The video was posted on Twitter by the account Fernando Diaz.

Much like the one which was previously reported on, it's unclear if the audio is authentic or if it's merely a ploy meant to heat up the plaza.

The audio goes as follows, as translated by Sol Prendido:

Hey dude, I am being told right now that a lot of gunmen are gathering in Tamarindo, and all the surrounding ranches.
They’ve declared war against Mayo.
Its official that sometime tonight the Mayo people are going to face off with the Chapitos people. Gunmen from El Salado are on standby right now.
We always knew it would end up leading to war.
They are saying that Mayo gave up Ovidio and he tried to give up the other brothers as well, but he was unable to.
These guys are having a conniption. This is almost certainly going to blow up now.
If you can stay indoors, stay. Don’t come out onto the street. Don’t say anything. Keep quiet and stay in your home, for your own good.

Some may claim that no one person could give up Ovidio’s location simply because “everyone already knew he was in Jesús María” but really that belies a lack of understanding of the narco’s personal history.

Because Ovidio - well, he is not a man to stay in one place for too long. According to an article by El Universal, Ovidio recently lived for 6 months in Mexico City in 2021.

It was during this period of time that a group of hitmen plotted to kill him as he visited The Cheesecake Factory located in Parque Delta. He allegedly made a habit of visiting the restaurant every Thursday - each time ordering a milkshake and a cheesecake.

The hitmen ultimately ended up being called off because there were concerns about too many civilian casualties.

  1. More bullshit. Ovidios ppl are butt hurt cus mayo wldnt be stupid enough to send his men to stop the arrest. But ovidio was fucking stupid for staying in the same place for months. The smartest one of chapos sons is the one we know less about. Joaquin guzman lopez ovidios brother. Lets not forget that el mz saved the life of a few of chapos sons when the jaliscas kidnapped their ass.

    1. Jaliscas didn't kidnap them!

    2. Jaliscos did kidnap los chapitos, Puerto Vallarta is one of CJNG strongest/lucrative plazas. 🥳🧐

    3. Jalisco didnt kidnap them...thats the narrative they were putting out though since its the perfect cover up..it is cjng stronghold etc . thats the perfect way to heat up the plaza & shyt.. It was mini lic or his dad people ...it could of been the chapitos themselves to make a distraction for some weird reason we will never know but trust it wasnt cjng that kidnap them
Cjng & CDS dont have an alliance but they also weren't enemies they were neutral since they both were just pure drug dealers not extorting and kidnapping civilians so you can say they were the two of the Lesser evils but I don't know about now seems like they having some sort of proxy war in Zacatecas and other places but I don't think el mayo and mencho bumping heads I think it's more of a proxy war

    4. It wasn't mini lic or his dad, they brly had any power. Hence "they turned themselves in".

Distraction? They weren't enemies? Your clearly over analyzing the situation.

CJNG stronghold + mayo + chapo negotiating using menchito is leverage speaks volumes.

    5. 8:56 or maybe it was los zetas? Or the ISIS fighters? Lmao people always tryna discredit the almighty CJNG.

Los damasos had hardly any people left. Los chapitos kidnapping chapitos? Thats truly laughable.

A proxy war in Zacatecas ? It's literally CJNG people and MZs(from Durango) fighting. 😐

And ofcourse it's not mencho and mzs fighting it out physically and directly, but it sure is their groups.

    6. It wasn't CJNG who kidnapped Ivan and Jesus in PV. They did help negotiate the release because it happened in their Plaza. The kidnappers were part of a group led by El Mochomo's son, remnants of the BLO. Same dude who sent dozens of Sicarios to hit Chapo's Mom's house in La Tuna. Remember that even after Mochomo was arrested, Arturo BL didn't split from CDS and go to war until Ivan was released from prison months later. Arturo found out where his brother was being held directly after his arrest, and even negotiated with the AFI officers guarding him to just walk away when his Sicarios showed up to rescue Alfredo. But Chapo said no, Mochomo was going to have to take the hit for CDS as a whole. ABL was pissed, but listened to Chapo for the time being. Until Ivan was released, which was the catalyst of ABL breaking away and starting the CDS/BLO war. Of course very few people really know, but it was said Mayo and RCQ asked Mencho for support, and he gave it. Think Mencho really respected RCQ and Mayo and negotiated the release on their behalf. Also, sources said Mencho was pissed because it happened on his territory without his approval. Alfredito obviously never forgot what happened to his Dad, but seemed to know after the kidnapping in PV that he and his group were in over their heads. PV is not Badiraguato. Even Mayo helping out to get the two released was strange, as Los Chapitos asked Damaso to kill Mayo after their Pops got arrested for the third time and was extradited. Damaso considered it but refused when Los Chapitos admitted that their Dad did not give that order. You have to think that Mayo found out about that. Was one of the main specific events that started the war between Los Damasos and Los Chapitos, other than the general conflict over who would take over Chapo's cell of CDS. Mayo probably just wanted to maintain stability and keep the work moving. And for all the evidence showing Mencho is/was so bloodthirsty, he also showed he is/was capable of Realpolitik as well when the timing and situation call for it.

    9. CDS literally used menchitos life as leverage in in exchange for the release of los chapitos, since rubensito was in prison at the time and was an easy target. No digas tarugadas @3:35

    12. Cmon guys can anyone intelligently explain how it was not the jaliscas that kidnapped the chapitos in guadalajara. Was it la plaza? Was it the left overs of the coroneles that still holding a small piece of jalisco? It cldnt be. If it happened in guadalajara it was jaliscas. The rumor was as soon as el mz found out what happened he sent men to where menchita was locked up and told mencha if you kill chapos sons ill kill your son.

    13. Oh also if damaso wld of done it why not kill them on the spot? He has a chance to get rid of his main enemies and he didnt pull the trigger. The theory it was damaso in guadalara is fucking dumb.

    14. Use common sense and think it through.
      Who controls PV?
How long had Chapitos been in PV?
Did they sneak in and were willing to risk themselves and everyone else with them just to eat and take pictures?
How many Chapitos got picked up?
What about the other individuals, were they from powerful families?
Yet somehow Mencho was at a disadvantage in that supposed kidnapping event he planned? No mamen.
The Mayo "threat" was a fairy tale to save face by the Sinaloas. You can bet that the people who didn't get picked up right away informed Chapitos family as they had to be aware of who Los Chapitos are.
Shit even EPN was nervous initially when the news broke of the levantón.
The team that hit La Leche were CJNG but they didn't know who they had picked up, that mistake they paid with their lives and those who were autores intelectuales we're shortly thereafter chased or arrested by the Mexican government.
Ms HEARST can I bother you to compile the BB stories regarding these events?

    4. 10:12 I doubt any remaining son of JJEM would link up with Chapitos, my opinion is he wouldn't need to as his father was very respected by practically all the bosses and he could work through many border plazas.

I don't remember any evidence suggesting that they were involved in Ovidio's personal security.

Having said that, I've heard Ivan is the real deal. But still not getting respect from Mayo like their dad did.
