Banner Placed Message To "El Ruso" In 43rd Street; It Was Signed By "La Chapiza" In Mexicali

 "Ivan" for Borderland Beat

An alleged "narco-banner" was placed this Sunday morning in the Mexicali valley, where a week ago there was an armed confrontation between two criminal cells of the Sinaloa Cartel.

The message was photographed by residents of Kilometer 43, a community very close to the area of the armed conflict that took place on December 2, in Luis B. Sanchez, a community in San Luis Rio Colorado, where 10 people were killed, including a 7-year-old boy.

It was in the early hours of the morning that the incident was documented via an emergency call indicating that a threatening banner had been found on Vicente Guerrero Street, almost on the corner of 15th Street.

It is a white tarp with black letters, which has a brief text addressed to "El Ruso".

The text reads as follows:

"RUSO WE ARE COMING FOR YOU SINCERELY. LA CHA"

immediately follows a drawing of what appears to be a "pizza", a frequent sign in messages attributed to the criminal structure of "Los Chapitos", sons of the drug trafficker imprisoned in the United States, Joaquín Guzmán Loera, alias "El Chapo".

"Los Chapitos" and "El Ruso" have been engaged in an armed conflict for several years, which has left a large number of people dead, especially in the Mexicali valley.

The banner was removed by municipal and state authorities who responded to the emergency.

    1. 4:50; It’s the same salutation used in narco mantas for decades when you see “atte” before the sender’s name/call sign.

    2. That's a mistranslation. In Spanish it reads "atten" which is short (I believe)for "atentamente" which translates in English to attentively".

    3. Atte means atentamente, what in english people say "yours truly or all the best" but means "with respect"

    2. Yes, si por supuesto, and what sort of intel is there on this El Ruso guy? Why is a latino calling himself a Russian? I know Russians have ties in Cuba and Venezuela but is there much Russian influence inside the Mexican cartels? CCP influence aside from the fentanyl connection? Ever heard the latin term Jus ad bellum?

  9. See where this confrontation goes. On the Salazar/chapo faction there have been a lot of downs in the past 1-2 years. A lot. El Max arrest, el Wason (dismembered and interrogation video), Daniel Hurtado de Navojoa ex comandante Alamos Sonora, and a lot of hitmens and distributors have been gunned down. I remember a few years ago in mexicali the group of I think was 10-11 hitmen that were sent from Mazatlan and were recruited from a drug addiction center. And now a few days ago the Luis B Sanchez shootout that took the life of a 7 year old. It is getting intense in the region. I wonder why the government doesn’t put a stop to the Salazars-chapitos vicious war in the state of Sonora (Ciudad Obregón,Guaymas-Empalme,SLRC)
