Sicarios Tried To Ambush Military In Michoacan And Paid With Their Lives

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

The gunmen apparently belonged to the Pájaros Sierra criminal group, which operates in the states of Michoacán and Jalisco.

Michoacán has become a land of bloody drug wars and constant confrontations, as occurred in the municipality of San José de Gracia, where an exchange of bullets between the military and hired killers left five criminals dead and one injured.

The violent incident occurred when members of the Mexican Army were patrolling the borders of Michoacán and Jalisco and were suddenly attacked by a group of armed men, according to initial reports.

The military repelled the aggression and shot down four armed civilians, presumably linked to the Pájaros Sierra criminal group, leaving two others wounded.

In the same incident, three gunmen were arrested and 10 firearms were seized - nine long guns, one short gun and 44 magazines of various calibers. In addition, a white Mitsubishi double-cab pickup truck used by the criminals was also seized.

After the shooting, the injured assailants received first aid and were detained; one of them died while being transported to the hospital. State police and police from nearby municipalities mobilized to the area to provide support and implement an operation in the region.

San José de Gracia is a border area between Michoacán and Jalisco, which is disputed by at least two criminal cells that have been involved in several clashes in recent months.

Several of these clashes have been documented on video, in which you can hear the shots of high caliber weapons, and even foreign citizens have witnessed these situations. All this has caused the U.S. government to issue an alert recommending its citizens not to transit through the area.

    1. Yes it is but it’s possible the military shot first and also that it was not a random encounter either. Like Ratón Treviño z40 did, a Los Pájaros might have given them up, or a competing criminal gang did.

    2. 4:24 you’re absolutely right. Allot of the times it’s really the army going after them to kill and get trigger happy. Everyone knows this so most sicarios already know that even if they give up it’s a 50 50% chance they might still end up dead. And if they have no weapons, no problem, the military will come up with some and place the next to your dead body to show that indeed you did attack them first even though that in the picture all the bullet holes you have have entry marks in back of your head and your so called weapon is on top of your back while your hands are underneath your face down corpse. Remember a couple years ago when they killed like 9 so called sicarios and an investigation discovered that the army had dressed the corpses in camouflaged clothing and placed the gun. Or the incident in Nuevo Laredo where they had killed the driver and most of the pasengers in a shoot out and the video shows where they’re approaching the stationary shot up truck and one of the soldiers, probably a sergeant or lieutenant or something starts saying “ se esta moviendo, matalo, matalo” and they start shooting up the truck again, and it turned out that the individual that was moving was a person who had been kidnapped and bound by the individuals in the truck. They killed him even though he was tied up. They tried to cover it up in their report but the video came out and uncovered their lies.

    3. I can understand why the security is shoot first with these guys. They probably have killed a bunch of soldiers and police and it’s time for pay back. Awesome job armed forces. Keep finding them and eliminating them. No need to see if Mexican Justice will prevail. They made their decision when they decided to be killers. Like Javier Peña said on Narcos, “ give ‘em plomo” when he told helicopter gunners when they caught up with Gacha. Plomo they got.

You were not there and don't know the facts. Keep in what the title states...
They the military was ambushed, in that situation, hell yeah they better shoot, before they become swiss cheese, with lots of holes.
Have you seen what damage the AR-15 bullets do to a body?

They obviously weren't trained by Sicario 006 or they would have kicked SEDENA's ass.
Maybe the were trained by the Russians.

  3. Does anybody know the laws about active duty military firing weapons within Mexico? When I was in the California national guard we were authorized to carry loaded weapons within the country but federal active duty soldiers were not (unless authorized by congress or the president).

    1. You must be new here. They don't need no stinking badges to fire any weapons in Mexico

    2. 4:37 I'm asking about the laws, if any, that govern that regardless of whether they follow them.

    3. Active duty soldiers in México can use their firearms within the country, they cannot take their weapons with them when not on duty and México doesn't involve itself in foreign wars. In the USA the active duty soldiers are for external matters, the national guard in each state will enforce the law if the governor orders it

  6. 5:16 Is the US National Guard inder "Duty to Obey" rules?
There should be training to understand that any member of the military is not required to obey illegal orders from any sanababich and to refuse on his face to obey.

  10. It’s always a pathetic liberal excuse for mass raping mass killers “human rights abuses!” Bullshit! I don’t care if the military was on the hunt to kill the scum or paid to be on the hunt or was ambushed. The weak armed criminals weren’t attacking unarmed innocent civilians. Good job Mexican military whether you are corrupt or not!

    ReplyDelete
  11. 11:49 corrupt or not???
    Bráse visto más pendejo,
Corruption is to be eradicated, not promoted or tolerated or expected, much less because some pendejos welcome it, specially in the mexican military that has a looong history of corruption, including in the present right now...with AMLO...
