Sedena intercepts communications from the Sinaloa Cartel; they have the possible location of Ovidio Guzmán

After the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) intercepted communications from the Sinaloa Cartel, they could have the possible location of Ovidio Guzmán Salazar, son of Chapo Guzmán.

According to documents leaked by Guacamaya Hackers, Sedena intercepted radio conversations between members of the Sinaloa Cartel, where they spoke about Ovidio Guzmán, with the help of US authorities .

In them, the members of the criminal group, then located in the Sierra de Sinaloa, would have referred to Ovidio Guzmán as "the Old Man" and "the Mouse".

In them, the members of the criminal group, then located in the Sierra de Sinaloa, would have referred to Ovidio Guzmán as “el Viejo” and “el Ratón”, and tried to set up a meeting with him.

What do the communications intercepted by Sedena say?

At first, the radio voice identified as UIM1 asked for “the Old Man”, to which UIM2 replied that he would talk to his boss to see if they could meet.

In the Sedena document, Ovidio Guzmán is referred to as "the Old Man", since, according to his words, that is a nickname used by the person in charge of an area.

In this sense, it is known that Ovidio Guzmán is designated as "the Old Man" in the area under the control of Los Chapitos, a criminal group led by him and his brothers.

The communications indicate that the subjects spied on in the conversations exercise control over the Sierra de Sinaloa, where Ovidio Guzmán could also be found.

“Analyst note: 'El Viejo' is a nickname used by the person in charge of an area. Ovidio Guzmán also (is) known as 'El Viejo', the geolocation is under the control of Los Chapitos”, Sedena

Later, on August 9, another conversation was captured in which one of the interlocutors endorses his loyalty to his boss.

In this case, it is indicated that UIM 1 told UIM2 that he and the boss “El Ratón” had his loyalty and that “he is at your service”.

In this second intervention, Ovidio Guzmán is also pointed out, in this case as “El Ratón”, a nickname he has had for years.

In the same way, it was indicated that the intervened communications contain information on the presence of aircraft, Army, and National Guard operations, referring to these as "hawks."

The data provided indicates that at 1629Z, the CS Office reported that the National Guard was in the area near 'La Bodega' and 'La Solitaria', and asked to wait for the 'perico' to be delivered to the cruise ship.

UIM 1 replied: I heard you, load and delete 'Office'.

“Analyst Note: 'Office' possible reference to the main communications center/facility. 'Perico' probably refers to cocaine.” Sedena

Likewise, the communications intervened by Sedena to find the location of Ovidio Guzmán, include what is indicated as "a flight plan", where it is spoken of the presence of elements of the National Guard that are perceived by "los Mayos".

    3. Doesn't mean it will happen the same again, this time i guarantee that when they go after him, it will be a fast operation where his people won't even realize he was taken till he's already in the hangar, by then it will be too late for his men to react.

  9. The difference this time will be US authorities don’t give a rats tail about Mexican lives so holding a village hostage won’t work next time. Dirty meets dirty. Have plenty cash on hand

  10. 2 points! 1/Yankee midterms are coming in november, so, most likely, a cartel leader will be bagged for a propaganda photo-op! That means a 'Not Capture Card' just went way up in price!
2/Monroe doctrine states Latin america is America's bitches! So, expect a bloody coup in Venezuela as the collapsing empire needs to pillage the oil and natural resources!

    2. You right but if he keeps alot lower profile and stop meeting up with unnecessary people then he'll be good u see they got to him thru communications of people on radios which means if he's smart he'll never pick up another again in his life except to call to reinforcements if he's ever caught

  18. Questions. Are there many splinter cartels across Mexico that call themselves CDS or whatever but have very little to do with the main cartel? Do all the income of these scattered groups flow up to the leadership? How cohesive are these cartels? Thank you.

    1. They hire/contract smaller cells in different areas. That doesnt make then offical members of what is called CDS. And it doesnt ensure forever loyalty. Just like BIG companies hiring small companies for security for example.
