Leaked Documents Show Members of Mexico’s Military Sold Weapons + Information To Cartels

“Mica/DrivingMSSQL” for Borderlandbeat.com

Among the more than 4 million documents hacked by the Guacamaya group at the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) in Mexico, it was revealed that Military Camp No. 1 in Mexico City sold weapons to organized crime organizations.

It is detailed in an intelligence report dated June 10, 2019, that Sedena learned that a military officer offered tactical equipment, weapons, and grenades, in addition to providing information on mobility and operations of the armed forces to drug cartels based in Tejupilco, State of Mexico.

“On May 31 (2019), the military offered operators of the criminal group 70 fragmentation grenades at a cost of 26 thousand pesos each; the criminal cell confirmed the purchase of eight of them, which were delivered to Atlacomulco, State of Mexico”, published Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity.

It was reported that in the metadata analysis of the telephone equipment used by the military, the authorities confirmed that the base of operations of the soldier linked to criminals is in the municipality of Villa de Almoloya de Juárez, near the eighth mechanized regiment of the Sedena.

“Sedena reported in its confidential report that the supplier of weapons and tactical equipment is another alleged member of the Army, whom the criminals refer to as “antiguo” and who -according to the analysis of his telephone signal- is based in Campo Military No. 1 of Mexico City,” the document states.

The organization points out that at the time the intelligence report was prepared, the identity of both soldiers was unknown.

“In another report prepared on June 24, 2019, it is mentioned that the soldier who supplied weapons to the criminal cell is an escort for a military commander whom the criminals call the “new Commander” and who has the rank of Colonel.”

According to the report in the calls intercepted by Sedena, the military informed a leader of the criminal group that for two weeks he had a new boss and that he is part of his bodyguard.

In them, he described his superior as a Colonel from Tepalcatepec, Michoacán, “who likes money, drinks, and is into everything. “

In the intercepted calls, they mention that a criminal leader asked the military for “two thousand ammunition for the AK-47 rifle, five thousand for the R-15, and 50 magazines of each type of rifle. “

In addition, “Mexicans against corruption” mentions that the military offered to collaborate with the criminals for the location of the regional prosecutor in Amecameca, because supposedly at the request of the criminal leader his murder was planned.

  2. And yet there are pinches culeros pendejos who argue with me when i say that Mexico needs a dictatorship. A dictator is badly needed, someone who will uproot all the corruption. A “righteous” dictator. He would need to purge the government and military of corrupt politicians and officials and give the military free reign to take out drug cartels. Corrupt officials in the Mexican military will also need to be purged. He could easily wipe all of the cartels off the map. It’s very easy to lock a city down. Turn off the power and the water. Set up road blocks. Declare marshal law. Suspend ALL legal rights. Seize ALL bank accounts. Stop ALL food shipments. And start killing LIKE DOGS every single person that is linked to organized crime. Democracy is the best option when things are normal and a country is somehow manageble, but this is NOT the situation of our country (and i’m a Marino who sees every day the rotten fruits of corruption).

It’ll take some fucking brutal tactics to get rid of cartels at this point, literally every single level of the government is corrupted by now. God damn that’s a hard line to make.. Fucking blows for Mexico man. It should’ve never became this.

Thank you for having the courage to serve in the Mexican military during these trying times.
I understand your frustration with what Mexico is currently going through but you have to look at the long term situation. Mexico has put thousands of these thugs in prison and extradited many more to the U.S. The situation is improving in Mexico. It just takes time.

If you witness any corruption involving drug cartels, please advise the DEA, DHS and the FBI. Rest assured, they are very interested in any information that you possess. If you happen to be in D.F., you can walk into the U.S. embassy and ask to speak to the FBI laison. Don't tell them what you are there for in the waiting area. If other people are present, simply tell them that you are a member of SEMAR and want to talk to the FBI.
You can go to any U.S. consulate and talk to a consular. You can also cross the bridge and talk to the DHS. You don't need any travel documents to talk to the DHS at a port of entry.
And of course, you can always report anonymously through the DEA, FBI and DHS online tiplines. If you are thorough in your tip and name names, they will take your tip seriously. As a general rule, members of law enforcement and the military cannot accept reward money for information acquired during the performance of their duties. However, the U.S. government can pay money to law enforcement and military personnel who work cooperatively with the U.S. If you enter into a cooperative agreement with the U.S. make sure that it includes travel documents to the U.S. for you and your family in case an emergency arises. You want an S visa as minimum. Ideally, you want a green card so you can work in the U.S. should you or your family be exposed or threatened.

    6. @Detroit, back then in 2011 i lost a person that was extremely important to me because of the Zetas. Since then, i’ve decided what to do with my life. Oh and i appreciate your concern in your second comment comment, i’m well aware of everything you said and we’ve already worked with gringos, they trust us. Just wanted to tell you that my family is not in this country anymore, i’ve already taken care of that. Thank for your concern though. God bless you, Detroit.

  3. And before people say to me that the decriminalization of drugs would wipe The cartels out.. it would not. Sure, they would take a massive blows, but what do you people think? That people that have literally eaten human hearts, that have a body count in the dozens, that have no qualms about killing innocents in order to calentar la plaza, will just say “oh well, i guess that i Will just become a barman or a clerk or a farmer now that drugs are decriminalized and we can’t make big money from them anymore. What’s the problem”? Wake up putos idiotas! They will just resort to human trafficking, extortions and the like even more than they do now, and innocent people will suffer even more.

There is a literal legion of cold blooded psycopaths in this country, animals that don’t value human life and have nothing to lose, that is dangerous for everyone and will remain dangerous for everyone, these are animals that will never be able to be productive members of the society. For this people there is only an answer: they need to be killed, whether drugs will be decriminalized or not.

And there is a need for a dictator to accomplish this. Not to mention that only a dictatorship could overturn what’s most important to overturn: the criminal culture and the idolatry for the drug lords and for the criminal life in general. Only a righteous dictator could allow us to start from scratch. This country has an incredibile potential, but the rotten apples need to be uprooted like animals, for everyone’s sake.

    2. No, 1:20 PM, I’m not him. The man you are talking about is from Reynosa, I’m from Matamoros. We are both from Tamaulipas though and I met the guy in the past, also worked with him. He is a great person. And there are many other like him. But as long as there is a government that is corrupt from top to bottom, you can only do so much. That’s why we need a strong figure, with no compromises.

    4. El Cabron de Taumalipas:
Part of the problem is that Americans really have no idea of what is going on down in Mexico because the U.S. media doesn't report on the violence in Mexico. The U.S. media accepts advertising dollars from travel companies that put pressure on the media not to report the violence.
Most Americans along the border have a pretty good idea of the violence in Mexico, especially if they are bilingual and watch Mexican news. However, most Americans aren't bilingual and don't live along the border. Most Americans who live more than 100 miles from the border are pretty clueless about the violence in Mexico. Even Americans who spend time in tourist areas in Mexico know little about the violence. When I mention beheadings, the level of extortion, etc. to people, they are surprised that this occurs and some don't even believe me.
If you want to see change sooner in Mexico, I suggest you make more Americans aware of the situation in Mexico. If we could get Americans to boycott travel to Mexico I guarantee that you would see a lot of change. Cancun alone takes in $20 billion a year in tourist dollars. Threaten that and you will see a lot politicians in Mexico wake up.
The best thing that you can do is to report the violence in English language media. As a member of SEMAR you have unprecedented access to what is occurring. Take photos and document the violence and send it out to the U.S. media and tell them what is going on. Don't feel ashamed to accept payment from the U.S. media for your services and consider being a part time journalist for a U.S. news organization or a freelance journalist. Also, consider going into politics in Mexico after you complete your term of service.
Change is coming to Mexico. You can be a part of that change if you decide to step up and due more to push for change. Don't be afraid to start your own website or blog and take up a leadership role in pushing for change. And of course, post stories and photos here on Borderlandbeat.

  4. By now if you didn't know this is what drugs do to you. Not only does the pusher, or the government officials, but even the whole of the people who are innocent get stuck. At this point you better start thanking the Cartels because they ain't afraid to confront death. The laws about to be laid down homito. The law is hard to come by but the Cartels know every facit of it. Pura banda a la verga compa. I hope the monte is something you can live in.

Members of drug cartels don't know shit other than how much money they make pushing their poison because they are too lazy to work. Thy will learn the law after they are extradited to the U.S. For those who aren't extradited, they are too small of turds to interest the U.S. government. They have to wallow in their sorry existence in Mexico.

  6. Exactly as mentioned in previous article. The criminals get the gear wholesale from industry. That is how multinationals work, without impunity they spread their poison into our societies. Be it medicine/ drugs, weapons or grey market cigarettes.

This just proves it again, the military was this time the whole-sale, but virtue-signalling multinationals know damn well how to operate their channels legal and illegal.
