Ensenada, Baja California: Narco Threats Are Made Against Police Personnel

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

They’re asking for the policemen to stop supporting two alleged drug dealers in the area

Elements of the Investigation Unit from the town of Francisco Zarco, in the Valle de Guadalupe, removed a narco message that was located at 6:34 a.m. on Friday, September 30.

According to the report, the message was located in the area known as Termoeléctrica, in the Francisco Zarco community in Ensenada, on Luciano Jiménez Street and the Ensenada-Tecate highway, two stores away from the Castro Market.

It is a white banner with green and blue letters, one meter long with threats against municipal police officers.

Officers from the Municipal Public Safety Directorate (DSPM) in the area arrived at the scene. The message read:

"Municipal Policemen Ricardo Dávila Soto and Karla Cecilia Jacob Romero need to stop supporting Felipon. Otherwise, you will be killed off. We already have you guys located and your worlds will go to shit. Sincerely, Ernan Niebla".

Personnel from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) arrived in the area to inspect, gather,  and pack the banner and begin an investigation.

  2. I think I would turn in my resignation. You may be out of an income for awhile, but I would choose to face that before I'd face whatever the cartels have in mind for me. What a crappy deal.

    3. 1:30 Mexico is a complete disaster, and still #1 destination for americans to retire.

    4. 2:43 Well to be fair, Americans tend to retire in some of the dumbest places imaginable such as Florida or Arizona. Old people are weird. They like hot/tropical weather for some reason. I’d rather live/retire in New England than those bum spots.

    5. 3:07 Still # 1 destination, not only old people.

    6. 4:19 So young people are retiring now? I thought we’re just talking about retirees? obviously visiting Mexico is a lot different from living/retiring there. Also you’re not really acknowledging what I said about people stereotypically retiring in questionable places to begin with, such as Arizona. The top spots for retirees are not necessarily the best spots, hence my examples.

    7. 4:47 Not just young, old, middle aged is moving to Mexico... You are the one who clearly dont have an idea of what is going on. Arizona is not Mexico, dumb comparison. #2 World touristic destination, and #1 for american expats.

    8. 6:28 Dude you don’t even understand your own argument let alone mine. When did I ever compare Arizona to Mexico? Quit being disingenuous. You know exactly what I was saying because I was referring to how people choose to retire in some of the dumbest locations. And for the record I would rather be in Mexico than Arizona but my point is that saying “loads of people retire here” is not as good of a sales pitch as you think because people tend to retire and shit places. Not saying Mexico is a shit place but that is a shit argument.

What you could’ve said which would’ve made more sense would be how Mexico has the largest population of American citizens living outside of the U.S. (for some reason) which is more telling but even that I’m pretty sure is due to these Americans being ethnically Mexican and from an immigrant family. But you’re not gonna see people like Jason and Bethany living in Mexico. Nearly all of the “expats” are Mexican.

In spite of all the violence in México, , you can see most of the immigrant caravans are south americans from south of México, where the US created the biggest longest living Banana Republics and extreme right wing ultraderechistas to fight communists demanding wage increases of 1 cent per kilo de bananas and schools, and health care, and shit.

    12. 6:56 "DUDE" you are ignoring facts with source and give priority to your pointless opinion…

Im mentioned another country and you bring Arizona to the discussion… your own words.

Talking sh*t about the main destination of american, canadian nationals and europeans, not very smart from you.

There are no legal or biological way to define that a US national has to be white, however, white americans are the ones im referring to. You are more than welcome to corroborate it, LOTS of recent articles, interviews and so on talking about it.

Go to Tijuana, Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Puerto Peñasco, Mazatlan, Nuevo Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Queretaro, Ciudad de Mexico, San Miguel de Allende, Oaxaca (most cities), Chiapas (main towns), Yucatan(most towns) and Quintana Roo (mostly Cancun, Tulum and Playa del Carmen). If you go to any of those regions, youll understand what im saying. Cant afford to travel?, google it!

If you want to give your point about something, make sure you learn about it…

I gave sources, and info based on my own experience + articles + friends experiences, you?, your biased opinion and nothing else than that.

By the way...comparing Arizona with Cancun hahahahahahahahahahahaha, you made it clear... (already been in Phoenix and Tucson) ... Try harder!

    13. 11:10 “you are ignoring facts with source and give priority to your pointless opinion…”

Ignoring what facts? We both know and agree that Mexico has the largest population of American citizens living outside of the US but that doesn’t mean what I said isn’t true that most of them are probably ethnically Mexican themselves and have immigrant families.

“Im mentioned another country and you bring Arizona to the discussion… your own words.”

Yeah I brought it into this discussion that doesn’t mean I compared the two countries on merit. I simply talked about a popular destination for retirees which is what you for some reason cited as evidence for your point.

“Talking sh*t about the main destination of american, canadian nationals and europeans, not very smart from you.”

Actually it’s extra smart because you were talking about American citizens/retirees specifically 😄

“There are no legal or biological way to define that a US national has to be white, however, white americans are the ones im referring to.”

Lol no you’re not. And if you are, you’re dead wrong. The vast majority of expats are Mexican with blood ties to Mexico themselves.

“You are more than welcome to corroborate it, LOTS of recent articles, interviews and so on talking about it.”

Claiming that the expats are mostly white? No there is nothing to indicate that and it’s clearly the opposite if you use common sense. Millions upon millions of American citizens are Mexican.

“Go to Tijuana, Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Puerto Peñasco, Mazatlan, Nuevo Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Queretaro, Ciudad de Mexico, San Miguel de Allende, Oaxaca (most cities), Chiapas (main towns), Yucatan(most towns) and Quintana Roo (mostly Cancun, Tulum and Playa del Carmen). If you go to any of those regions, youll understand what im saying. Cant afford to travel?, google it!”

I’ve already been to Tijuana, Rosarito, Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Oaxaca, Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, Copala, Concordia and Costa Maya. I hangout with Zapotecans every day and live in San Diego. I get it dude, I think Mexico is a great country but you’re totally overthinking my response. My only point was that the retirement destination argument sucks. That’s all.

“By the way...comparing Arizona with Cancun hahahahahahahahahahahaha, you made it clear... (already been in Phoenix and Tucson) ... Try harder!”

So you’re denying that Arizona is a popular destination for American retirees? Well you’d be very wrong. The “lots of Americans retire here“ sentiment is not a viable point.

    14. 3:07 There are beautiful places in Arizona and Florida wtf are you talking about? New England? lmao ok

      Delete
    15. 2:40 Lol.. ok? Who said Arizona doesn’t have beautiful places? I’m all for visiting these places, but living there? No way. Arizona is probably the worst state to live that I can think of just because of the heat alone. They can’t even do construction in the daytime there anymore because the heat is so insane. There’s so many states I would choose to live in before Arizona, such as Texas or hell even Mississippi or Kentucky. Would choose Kentucky or Tennessee any day over Arizona. I don’t even really like the culture of Arizona anyways. It’s too much of a “college bro” state mixed with just old retirees and conservatives. Not my kind of people. People from New England are awesome though.

If you can’t see the obvious appeals of New England then I don’t know what to tell you. Rhode Island and Massachusetts to me clearly seem like the best places to live in America. People where I’m at are so sick of the heat and the desert climate, and that’s just in California. I can only imagine how much of a downgrade moving to Arizona or New Mexico would be. Not a desert person at all. I’m all about quaint places. Not white trash places filled with tank-top wearing college bros everywhere. The whole state of Arizona seems very fraternity-like to me. Never liked the vibe.

    11. 11:04 Can you list a source or verifiable info to check that? or just your opinion?. I knew during Calderon (PAN) administration there was an agreement with CDS and allies. There are declarations and lots of sources to confirm. By the other hand theres nothing solid that shows thats happening with the actual, only vague comments, like yours.

    2. I can’t tell if you’re both joking or not

The entire force is corrupt you fools. They literally have to be or they’re dead within 48 hours. What the hell do you think this is? Colombia?

      Delete
    3. 242 calm your ass. Not everyone understands the degree of corruption. No need for name calling FOOL!!!

      Delete
    4. 5:16 “Fool” counts as name calling now? Lol you must live a very privileged and comfy lifestyle if you get this offended so easily.

Also I don’t believe that. Who the hell hasn’t gotten the memo at this point that every cop in Mexico has to be compliant with the cartels or they die? Should be common sense by now. Again, this isn’t Colombia... There’s no such thing as a honest/non-corrupted cop in Mexico. I can’t believe it’s 2022 and people still (apparently) don’t know this? What did they think was going on? That only some cops were inline with the cartel’s orders and policies? The fact that anyone would think that raises more questions than answers honestly. Can’t believe people spend years thinking that without ever being corrected or explained the truth. Unless you just started researching about narco stuff and cartel topics recently then there’s no reason to be that clueless lol.
