CDN's El Trasky, From Operativa Coahuila, Arrested After Crossing Border

"HEARST' for Borderland Beat

Shortly after crossing into the state of Coahuila, one of the group leaders of Cártel del Noreste’s Operativo Coahuila was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm.

The Arrest

At approximately 7:00 am during the morning of October 11, 2022, personnel from various state government agencies used a helicopter to move in to arrest armed cartel hitmen who had been spotted entering the state of Coahuila hours before.

Details on how exactly they were spotted were not released however it is believed that the hitmen traveled to the state “aboard various vehicles” according to an article by Milenio newspaper. It is possible someone spotted them in person and noted them as suspicious, or they may have been spotted through traffic surveillance cameras.

State authorities closed in on the armed men’s hiding spot, a house in the small town of Ramirez, located in the municipality of Progreso, just across the state border.  Inside they found five men who were then searched and five illegally owned guns were found in their possession.

They were subsequently arrested the following:

  • Fabián Alberto "N", aliases "El Trasky" or “El Chuki”, 36 years old
  • Martín "N", alias "El Alex", 18 years old
  • Osvaldo "N",  alias "El Negro", 26 years old
  • Esteban Rodrigo "N", 27 years old
  • Héctor Nabor "N", whose alias is simply "Nabor", 32 years old

Newspaper El Universal  writes the men “claimed to be members of a known criminal gang.” Most news agencies did not cite which cartel group they were suspected of working for but the publication La Razon alleges it was the Northeast cartel (Cártel del Noreste, CDN).

The most important of the men arrested appears to be the aforementioned Fabián Alberto "N", aliases "El Trasky" or “El Chuki”. State authorities attributed El Chuki as the CDN leader who orchestrated several confrontations with Coahuila state forces.

The social media account Pedro96 claims that El Trasky is a direct report of Ricardo Chapa, alias “El Ricky”, who he describes as “one of the main lieutenants of the Treviño Morales clan and head of the CDN's Operativo Coahuila group.”

El Ricky has been known as a regional CDN leader operating in the northern parts of Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas for a while now. He’s been discussed in earlier stories such as this and this

It's worth noting that there is evidence of “CDN Operativo Coahuila” existing and being connected to El Trasky.

Of note as well, Milenio and Grillonautas used an alleged photo of Trasky showing a man with no facial tattoos while Pedro96 uses the photo above which shows a man with multiple facial tattoos.

Which source is incorrect, or if the man shown in Pedro’s photo is simply a subordinate of Trasky who is wearing a cap with his leader’s name is unclear at this time.

Governor Miguel Riquelme spoke about the arrest of the five men during his tour of the Carbonífera area, saying "I will never allow insecurity to return to Coahuila. That is a firm commitment. I vow it so I can see families enjoying the streets, shows.”

He continued “Yesterday I sent a helicopter and all of the reaction forces - we detained five individuals who wanted to come and harm our people", he said.

  1. Hard to believe that Coahuila is totally clean. Can a Coahuilan or someone with on the ground intel give us a briefing?

    1. Yeah I live here and cartels can’t come here, only thing they can do is attempt to cross their drugs but that’s stupid cause the only 2 border crossings are small lmfao narcos can’t roll around in convoys or anything here cause the fuerza coahuila and military will be on their ass the second they cross into the state like you see here, don’t let any other clown tell you different

    2. Thanks! I appreciate the first hand info. Wishing peace and prosperity for you and your state...especially, after the hell you lived in during the zetas reign of terror and facilitated by the Governor and his authorities!

    3. CDS, CDN and CJNG are all in Coahuila. They caught these guys because they were riding in a convoy. They may not be able to ride in convoys in Coahuila, but they are definitely there. It sounds like this guy is new to Coahuila and the cartel scene in general.

    5. 8:07 yea everyone i know travels through Coahuila to get to Zacatecas because its safer and you dont see cartels, the fuerza Coahuila are on top of their shit ever since they killed that governors son they quit siding with the cartels. But the thing is the police are still corrupt as hell. Alot of people have been pulled over and threatened to take away their vehicle if they didnt pay a fee to them.
its always been known those ones on the roads are corrupt pigs though. Also recently someone i know was pulled over by sicarios near monclova so its getting a little sketchy but i do believe those fuerza Coahuila guys are the good ones and have captured them since they have been arresting alot of sicarios these past two weeks.

    6. I've lived in Acuna on and off since the 70's. About 10 years ago almost the whole downtown was shut down. I was living in Acuna when the whole Allende thing went down. Then they killed the governor's nephew and quite literally arrested the whole police department. They were even messing with Americans so I left.
Both the Morieras were corrupt as hell and the state attorneys office and state police were corrupt as hell. I don't know what changes they made, but hopefully this new police force isn't corrupt. I read the DEA/FBI/DHS information and they state that CDS, CDN and CJNG are all operating in Coahuila. I haven't been enthused to go back.

    7. Why would you live there on and off? Are you a modern day immigrant with two houses on each side of the border with no allegiance to either country than you're not a real American?

  2. CDS enters Coahuila easily as they please, but I see the fear of Nuevo Laredo hitmen is treated differently. There is something fishy here !!! CDS are the biggest snitches but they never turn in Government contacts.

  6. Having ink on your face for a selfie doesn't necessarily mean permanent tattoos. And the photo could have been flipped, so that the left side of his face, where the tattoos are clearly visible, is actually the right side of the suspects face, which cannot be seen in the photo. More likely that its 2 seperate people though.

    2. No estate from the US is free from drug use, so, theres a lot of work to do... to supply such market. And there are estates where cartels have minimal presence. And thats mostly a regional thing rather a estate to estate thing.
