Zitácuaro, Michoacán: CJNG Kills Two For Their Refusal To Pay Extortion Fees

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

CJNG murders two in Zitácuaro for not paying extortion; murder attributed to "El Barbas

Two murdered subjects were found aboard a pickup truck in the community of Zirahuato, municipality of Zitácuaro, with a narcomessage signed by "El Barbas", leader of "Grupo X" belonging to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

Elements of the Civil Guard were alerted to a report of a confrontation in the aforementioned community. Upon arrival at the site, they found a gray Chevrolet Corsa utility truck with two dead crew members and a narco message.

The narco-message reads: "This will happen to everyone who doesn't pay the fees. Sincerely, El Barbas Grupo X".

El Barbas is a member of the CJNG, who is identified as an operator of this criminal group in Sinaloa and Veracruz.

In Michoacán, he is said to be the leader of "Grupo X", belonging to the CJNG, which disputes criminal operations against the Los Correa Cartel, La Familia Michoacana and Carteles Unidos.

    3. 7:26 & 8:21 are the same person 😂🤣🤣. Flechas aint shit. El barbas from grupo x is dead. El primo (leader of cjng in that area) turned him in to Los Chilangos or los correas . After El Barbas burned a comander who switched sides from La Fiscalia- Los Chilangos took out a lot of barbas men & Barbas was on the run for a while. Then los Chilangos took out Lalo Mantecas & after that there was rumors from grillonautas that la fresa y el pez had killed lalo Mantecas. After M100 death grupo x & los correas made a treaty. The ones extorting are los correas.

    4. 7:41 if there was a treaty between Grupo X and Correas its over cause Grupo X just caught and dismembered the brother of Daniel Correa aka El Tigre

    5. 8:44 that was La Fiscalia aka Los Chilangos. They are like the CIA they always trying make the groups break alliances so it could be easier for them to take out the cartels. There’s a couple areas in control by los Chilangos. They control the extorsións, prostitudes, bars, beer, cigarettes, & pirateria (bootleg goods)

  3. But but but, CJNG tells the towns people they come to clean house, sweep the streets, that they don't extort Isn't not enough money made with Drugs shipments to USA?
All time low, getting slaughtered for not paying piso. Talk about how much cjng values life of others in Mexico.

    6. 10:40 Where did you got that info?... Linea / Cartel de Juarez working for CJNG?, dont even close.... The only time where Juarez Cartel worked for someone, was during Amado's period, when previous bosses followed his orders until 1997 when Carrilos left EVERY operation related with Juarez Cartel. They have agreements with other cartels (CDS enemies) but nothing else than that. Even CDS have to pay "use rights" in order to operate/cross drugs in Juarez.

  7. Does anyone here have an idea of how charging piso by cartels is calculated/expected, from these poor business owners? Do the cartels demand percentages or fixed amounts? Any idea?

    1. 20% of what the shop makes in a day.

      Delete
    2. May vary a lot... some cases it comes from cartel boss, other times is just a boss of sicarios getting an extra income. When they know certain business are collaborating with an enemy cartel, they may request much more. During 2009+/- in Juarez they requested to business owners ridiculous amounts, lots preferred to close since "cuota" was bigger than income. The ones who didnt paid/close caused a lot of innocent people deaths. They may kill customers.

    3. Thank you both for that info.. Do you know if the shop owners pay Govt taxes, as well? If so, the government should let them write off extortion fees?

      Delete
    4. @12:37 of course the government charges taxes, it's called IVA: Impuesto al Valor Agregado and is 16% of the cost from producers to consumers.

      Delete
    5. Yeah it's about 20 percent.
      If the sore made $500.00
      Extortionist gets $100.00
