CJNG Grupo Elite Leaves Narco Message Directed Towards Rivals And Government In Celaya, Guanajuato

By "El Huaso" for Borderland Beat

This morning, several large, professionally printed narco messages signed by the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) appeared on bridges in Celaya, Guanajuato. The messages attempt to absolve themselves of crimes, accuse rivals of two mass shootings, and again allege corruption within the local investigative (AIC) police force.

The banners were left on at least five different bridges around the city, on 2 De Abril, De Gaspar De Almanza, Avenida Tecnologico, Enecuilco, and on De La Pepsi.

The same banner design, with different text, has been used by CJNG Grupo Elite several times before in the state.

The message accuses rivals of being behind two mass shootings this year in Celaya, the August 6 mass shooting at Bar Tres Amigos, which left 10 dead, and the May 23 shooting at Hotel and Bar Gala, which left 11 dead, as reported by Borderland Beat. A narco message signed by CSRL found at the scene of the May 23 attack blamed the victims for supporting CJNG.

The message also accuses local investigative police of colluding with rivals the CSRL, and once again alleges that they operate without search warrants, a complaint the CJNG made before at the July 28 IED attack in Irapuato, as reported by Borderland Beat.

These messages were displayed just four days after CJNG paralyzed the state with coordinated attacks across 9 cities in effort to disrupt a law enforcement operation against their leaders, an action that generated nationwide outcry and statewide panic.

Narco message context in Guanajuato

This banner design, with a military green camo background, with the face of 'Mencho', and two roosters fighting has been used by CJNG Grupo Elite several times with the text altered over last two years in Guanajuato. This is one more evidence of CJNG's high level propaganda production capabilities relative to their competition.

An example from 9/23/21 in Salamanca.

An example from 10/4/21 in Leon.

There were over 100 narco messages found in Guanajuato in 2021. The CJNG left almost 60, more than any other group in the state, a reflection of their obsession with the region and the intense propaganda campaign they run.

Celaya was the city in Guanajuato with most narco messages in 2021, with 51, according to the Borderland Beat narco message database of 2021.

    3. @1105 which is exactly why the govt is going after them to make way for sinaloa. Say what you will about them but they will ultimately be the ones on top because they do business w the govt and their connections have deep roots and history. cjng on the other hand is too bloody and very very bad for business and perception. The mexican govt knows everyone knows they are corrupt and in bed with the cartels but they like to give the look of not and definitely don't like the look of getting their ass kicked. sinaloa is dirty and grimey as well but they have always been more low key about it which allows the govt to save face.

    1. Yes you can thank grampa Obrador for that , look what happens when he is soft on them, because he gets hefty bribes, he only wants it in US currency.

28 States I said it in the past, he let's them grow, and sooner or later, hard to control, that now they are burning businesses and people, because one of their high ranking member got arrested.
So everything, one of theirs gets arrested let's burn up places...way to go CJNG I am proud of you, Obrador I am proud of you too, for letting it get out of control.

    2. Yes you can thank grampa Biden for that, look what happens whn you dont cut the weapon/cash flow to them, because he gets pressure from lobbyists, he only wants it on votes on congress.

CJNG is the cartel with most detentions, your opinions are based on what?

    3. I keep hearing that AMLO is getting GREA$ED by the Narco. Can someone tell us for sure as to how money from the Narco is making its way to him, or people close to him? It’s known his three oldest sons are a bajo la lupa in the US. But, I’ve seen nothing of AMLO actually getting money. After he made the humanitarian call to cut Chapo’s boy loose in Culiacan, it was said that money changed hands. Inquiring minds want to know. Is the a smoking gun that links Grandpa to this?

    6. 1:11 bank transfers to accounts in foreign banks. How do you think, the million dollar home, and expensive Mercedes he bought his unemployed son, in Texas came from? No mortgage, straight payment on both.We all know he does not make that type of money. Obrador is in bed with cartels that give him bribes, very clear.

    7. 10:20 Can you please send a link relating that bank transfers, the million dollar home, and the mercedes?, or you dont have any sources to confirm this?

  7. They are diluting their power by hosting these corny ass podcasts every week now. I'm sure there's a Tabasco cartel or some other southern state but they shut the fuck up, sell drugs and count cash. Why can't these idiots follow suit? They like to play dress-up in a tiny house with 14 men struggling to hold long guns and two men lie on the floor with BMGs looking silly. The more they do it, the less it strikes fear. CJNG have become those that they started out killing. At least the Zetas went radio silent once and awhile.
