Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua: Fuel Stations And OXXOS Are Closed Amid Chaos

"Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat

They execute one in front of a Vialidad store, another man and a pregnant woman in an OXXO. The fatal sum rises to 9 murders in one hour

The underworld overwhelmed the authorities at all levels and the insecurity situation became frightening.

Several OXXO stores were burned in the afternoon amid shootings.

A pregnant woman and a man were shot to death at the OXXO convenience store on Hiedra and Cartamo streets.

Another individual at the corner of Avenida Tecnologico and Avenida Santos Dumont, and another in front of the Directorate of Roads.

The municipal agents ran to hide from the gunfire and the assassins left.

OXXO decided to close all its stores due to the danger of more attacks and several gas stations were also temporarily closed.

It all happened in an hour and the weather is terrifying. A shootout occurred in front of LEAR La Cuesta and an individual was shot at the OXXO in Boulevard Zaragoza and Calle Tarahumara who died later.

The preliminary balance is 4 dead in the prison riot, 3 more in the OXXO and Vialidad stores and a decapitated head on the Camino Real highway.

  2. So who really owns the OXXO’s?? Seems like someone is making a statement.

  3. Periférico Camino Real or the Camino Real Highway is where many corpses seem to consistently appear. This highway has a history of dead individuals being littered here.

  5. Update 8:30pm: is much worse than that... A fuel station at Gomez Morin, different Del Rio chain stores, a small market where two female owners were burned inside, different shooting on street, and most stores closed its doors, just like 2007-2010 times in Juarez. Looks like CDS is taking revenge against Maru Campos, they pointed out her links to the Juarez C. That killing inside the estate prison against CDS members didn't help at all... And her declarations yesterday inaugurating the "centinel Tower" to "fight" cartels, but this time favoring Juarez Cartel.

    1. Two CDS members got killed by Mexicles gang in Juarez. Their former allies.
Seems like CDS is heating up la Plaza and catching innocent civilians in their acts due to not being able to fight off their enemies in Juarez.
They want the army to help them again against their enemies like years ago.

      Delete
    2. You are right, but this time no federal agencies are helping them. And this time all of the estate agencies changed sides. That why they are heating up. CDS is getting weaker in Chihuahua since "El Chueco" mistake... even governor changed sides.

  6. The real problem is the government cause they are all corrupt ... They are.also a bunch of pus-ies for letting it happen

  9. Theory: they target "corporate" stores instead of local owned ones as a way of somewhat taking the local population into account.
Kinda like how they cleared a store before setting it on a fire.

    1. Oxxos were a local chain during decades, Corporate bought it, but that local family still own part of it, specially gas stations. By the other side, Del Rio is a local owned chain. Among other random shootings killing innocents.

    2. 10:13pm De La Vega own Del Rios. I would post that years ago. Like Mayo owns Kioskos in Sinaloa

  11. This is terrifying and sad. It's also a depiction of what can happen to any country where corruption infects every level of government. This will be the USA's future if government officials continue to push alternative facts and extremists occupy political office. My heart breaks for the honest citizens of Mexico. Nobody deserves to live in terror.

    1. When "El Chueco" killed those priests.... Maru Campos had an amazing idea... going to Europe to bring more factories (Juarez is struggling for labor, more work places than people)... Now with this, she had be "hospitalized" for unclear reasons... Hopefully yes... However, Cesar Duarte is being processed by mexican authorities.

  16. This appears to be like what happens in El Salvador. If they want to make changes in prison they terrorize the local population. Hopefully, Bukele will end this habit.
I hope Chihuahua responds in a strong fashion and gets all of the contraband out of the prisons. By showing the criminals that violence doesn't pay reduces violence in the future.
