Apulco, Zacatecas: The Jalisco New Generation Cartel Speaks Out Against Mario González

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

A safe viewing follow up video to a a recently released article by Borderland Beat has just surfaced. The following broadcasts sheds light on the fate of the four workers who were abducted installing video surveillance cameras in the town of Apulco, Zacatecas.

The names of complicit criminal masterminds, nefarious operatives, and corrupt government personnel. All actively engaged in their open secret war against the Jalisco New Generation Cartel are revealed.

Their illicit affairs in and around several towns and sectors spanning the states of Jalisco and Zacatecas are mentioned.

Video translation is as follows:

Interrogator: Good afternoon people from Teocaltiche, Villa Hidalgo and their communities. The reason for this communique is to clarify the video that is circulating on social networks about four people abducted in Apulco, Zacatecas. What is your name?

Captive: Héctor Abner Donoso Cruz

Interrogator: Who holds the direct communication link with the Apulco mayor?

Captive: That would be the individual known as 9-7 Wero or Victor.

Interrogator: What exactly is your job, that of your partners, and which areas did you cover?

Captive: Sergio and I monitored the towns of Apulco, Tenayuca, and the Lo de Carrera sectors.

Interrogator: Which specific government supports you guys whenever you place your surveillance cameras?

Captive: That would be the National Guard from Villa Hidalgo, the Sedena troops from Teocaltiche and the Municipal Police from Teocaltiche and Villa Hidalgo.

Interrogator: Where do you guys hide whenever the government forces who haven’t been bribed come through?

Captive: Each individual goes to their own homes to hide out.

Interrogator: Who arranges or who has a direct line with the government?

Captive: That would be 9-7 or Victor.

Interrogator: How many security bases do you all have?

Captive : We have four of them. There’s the one that covers the Apulco, Tenayuca, and the Lo de Carrera sector. The second one covers the sector of Teocaltiche. The third one covers the sector of Villa Hidalgo, Tepusco, Michoacanejo, and El Taray. And the fourth one covers the sector of Encarnación de Diaz at the “La Chona” Railway Station.

Interrogator: Who runs or controls those C4 (Centers of Command, Control, Communications) bases?

Captive: The Mario Gonzalez mob. In addition I personally gave Irving intelligence reports.

Interrogator: Who handed over the two individuals within the Teocal (Teolcatiche, Jalisco) city limits?

Captive: The Villa Hidalgo National Guard.

Interrogator: Who else supports those faggots from Teolcatiche and Villa Hidalgo, the municipal seats and their surroundings?

Captive : The National Guard from Teolcaltiche, Villa Hidalgo. And the Mexican Army who’s positioned at the Teolcatiche central bus station.

Interrogator: What do those bitches have to say for themselves, why won’t they come out to fight?

Captive: They’re only going to defend Teolcatiche.

Interrogator: Who’s in charge outside of the municipal seats?

Captive: The Villa Hidalgo National Guard, the Mexican Army from Teocaltiche, and the municipal police from Teolcatiche, Villa Hidalgo.

Interrogator: Who are the faggot commanders, their code names, for those filthy fucks?

Captive: It would be the operatives 9-7, 120, Choche aka Cachetes, Pony, Lupe, Irving, and Lara’s mob who were left in charge of 119.

Interrogator: Who is Juan Donoso?

Captive: Juan Donoso is the Tenayuca delegate. By the same token he’s also a municipal policeman in Teocaltiche. He just as well sells drugs in Tenayuca.

Interrogator: Do you have family members working within any of the police departments?

Captive: Yes, I do. I have a cousin by the name of Armando Gonzalez within the Teocaltiche police force. I also have an uncle named Marcos Torres in the Teocaltiche police station.

Interrogator: Who is Irving, which function does he have within your criminal cell, and what specific role does he have with the Apulco mayor?

Captive: Irving is my cousin. He’s also a plaza boss in Tenayuca. And in the Apulco town hall he’s the mayors personal secretary. He’s practically in charge of all the mayors dealings.

Interrogator: What’s your take on why no one within his criminal cell has ever been detained if there’s so much evidence in that municipality?

Captive: Because the Villa Hidalgo National Guard and the Teocaltiche Sedena troops support them.

Interrogator: Who were you captured with?

Captive: With four individuals. It was Sergio, Jaime, Manuel, and me.

Interrogator: What became of them?

Captive: Jaime and Manuel were released for not having any involvement with Mario Gonzalez and his filthy men.

Interrogator: To conclude we don’t get involved with innocent civilians, extort, or ask for charging fees. We are operatives for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. And our war is against Mario Gonzalez and his thieves.

    2. Hopefully they are correct that two have been released. These workers are peons that don't have access to code names, etc. It took him a couple of days to learn the lines for the video.
Having family working for Mario Gonzalez might get this guy killed. The whereabouts of the other worker appears to be unknown.
The bottom line is that there is nothing to tie these 4 guys to illicit activities. They certainly don't deserve this to happen to them.

    3. Mario Gonzalez is well entrenched in this area. CJNG can't take it without a fight. If they push forward, this could get quite bloody.

  6. Sol:
Mario Gonzalez's father was close friends with El Mayo before he died. Mario Sr. had a ranch outside of Teocaltiche that was quite popular. This is probably where Jr. is at. From this video it appears that Teocaltiche, Villa Hidalgo and Encarnacion are still in Jr.'s hands.
Someone stated here that Nochistlan is in CJNG hands. Apulco is between Nochistlan and Teocaltiche so this could be contested territory.
It appears that CJNG is trying to take the area. The Gonzalez family is well entrenched in this area. If the CJNG moves in on Jr. this could get quite bloody.
When you think about the Mazamitla area, organized crime isn't so well entrenched there. It is easy for the area to change hands. This isn't the case for Teocaltiche. The families here have been into drug smuggling for 50 years. They have deep ties to Sinaloa and the Zetas and players in other cartels. This isn't going to be your usual fight for nameless ranchos out in the middle of nowhere. This could lead to fighting that makes it into national news and could get quite protracted. If Mayo throws his weight behind Jr. this could turn into a miniwar within the broader cartel wars. Borderlandbeat definately needs a reporter on the ground for this one.

    4. Mario gonzalez era compadre del chapo no de Mayo. Mario Gonzalez Jr and Ivan are close friends and I think they might have even been classmates in school in Guadalajara at one point.

      Delete
    5. 1:18:
I'm pretty confident that Mario Sr. was close friends with El Mayo. It wouldn't surprise me if Jr. is close to the chapitos. They are close in age. If Jr. and Ivan are close friends, this should make the current situation in Teocaltiche quite interesting.
Sr. was low key like Mayo. Jr., like the chapitos, is more confrontational. It doesn't appear that CJNG is backing down. This is Jr.'s home turf. I don't see him going anywhere.
This will be a tough battle for CJNG. Jr. has deep connections in quite literally every rancho in the area. The CJNG can't move anywhere without him knowing.
I don't believe that Jr. has a lot of military grade weapons. What he does have is several hundred people in the area that he can recruit on a short notice. I'm sure he would have no problem gathering several hundred men to fight and a few hundred rifles. CJNG has the advantage in hardware, but Jr. has the advantage in numbers, intel and he is fighting on his home turf that he knows well.
I don't see CJNG walking up to Jr.'s ranch with an eviction notice. If a battle ensues, which I believe it will, it will be long and bloody. Pray for the people of the los altos region. Most are good, honest hard working people with no ties to organized crime.

    6. 1:18pm is correct that Mario Gonzales was El Chapos compadre and his son is friends with Ivan. Malcom Beth wrote a book called Narco where he is listed under El Chapos structure. I’m not saying he couldn’t have been a compadre of Mayo but everyone in Teocal knows of El Chapos relationship with this guy. CJNG has taken Nochistlán, Jalos, Yahualica, and other surrounding areas but Don Mario’s people are still hanging on to Teocal, Villa Hidalgo, and Encarnación de Díaz. I was in Teocal last year around this time and in the Plaza there were pictures posted with lots of missing people. Mostly men from the surrounding ranchos. There was speculation CJNG were kidnapping people and forcibly recruiting them but who knows. In Don Mario’s last years he had his legs amputes because of diabetes. He still commanded a lot of respect. Things were really tranquil 12 years ago but ever since CJNG came around that all changed.

    7. 3:28:
Things were always calm when Sr. was alive. Thanks for the update on Jalostotitlan, Yahualica and Nochistlan.
I believe that 1:18 is correct. I was pointing out that Sr. and Mayo were close friends when he was alive. That comes from my understanding from when I lived in the area. If he knew Mayo, he undoubtably knew Chapo and vice a versa. He has actually expanded on my knowledge of the current situation as you have. I appreciate the both of you.
I hope to find the time to read this book someday.
I used to live in this area and spent many winters there before all of the violence started. This was long before Nochistlan was listed as a magico pueblo. I am very familiar with the stories about Sr. even though I never met him. He used to hold events at his rancho, that according to locals, attracted hundreds. He had a very good reputation in the area. It is undeniable that he had the respect of the populace despite the nature of his business.
It's frustrating to hear that Nochistlan, Jalos and Yahualica have fallen to the CJNG. This is not good news for the locals. Their homes are now located in a war zone.
Please update us if you do return to Teocal. Most importantly, stay safe.

    8. Now in days there's too much competition amongst cartels. Old school capos could have lavish parties and invite the whole town if they wanted too. Things have changed, no matter who's in charge or what cartel is in charge if a plaza. There's no more trust amongst the fellow man because it could be a hit man ready to take them out to take their position or their plaza. Too many players in the game and every body wants to be a super star.
Too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
Look at any plaza in any state and tell me what plaza is safe, peaceful, and tranquil.
Sinaloa, is a war zone. Tamaulioas is a war zone, michoacan is a war zone, Sonora is a war zone, zacatecas is a war zone, chihuahua is a war zone. Jalisco is a war zone, baja California is a war zone, morelos is a war zone, Mexico city is a war zone and so on and so on...

  9. With the way they operate, the other cartels should just do mass snitching on all Jalisco operations. They should go mass propaganda mode. Turn all lights on their operations, players, networks and go full scorched earth mode. Instead of killing the main players, just get them to snitch on all operations, let them go. Have their own cartel go against them, then cause mass disruption within the ranks. That is how you play divide and conquer. When your enemy is doing way too much, you might as well as beat them at their own game. You got these guys acting like they’re some real saviors, meanwhile they act just like their former Z enemies. They merely adopted their ways. So much for their whole “matazeta” bs.
