Narco Leaders Captured At A Rate Of One Per Month

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

The federal government's offensive against drug cartels has accelerated in the last seven months with the arrest of at least eight capos or first and second level operators of different criminal groups, a figure that represents almost half of the great leaders arrested so far this administration.

In addition, the apprehensions of criminals by the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) have shown a vertiginous advance during the first two months of 2022, reporting the arrest of 94 alleged aggressors, which represents 54 percent of the reported cases. in 2021.

The report on attacks against military personnel of said unit reveals that the monthly average of arrests so far in the so-called Fourth Transformation stands at 13.2 cases, while in January and February the figure rose to 47 cases.

So far this year, the federal government has distributed more bullets than hugs, since the number of criminals injured during confrontations has doubled this year, after registering a monthly average of 3.1 injured between 2019 and 2021, in the current year 6 cases have been recorded.

Just last March 1, during his morning press conference, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured that he has not changed his position that the government should not respond to violence with more violence, but that the causes that generate it should be addressed due to the increased strength of criminal groups.

“I am convinced of that, what happens is that it takes time, this was already there. What we are looking for is that young people are not hooked, take away criminals already defined, take away young people, that they do not have a reserve army. That young people have the possibility of work, of study. They didn't do that before."

The group most affected by the arrests made since last September has been the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), adding five detained plaza operators, among them was the arrest in November 2021 of Rosalinda González Valencia, wife of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes , El Mencho, leader of said organization.

The federal government cataloged, at the time, this action as the most important that has taken place in recent years in the fight against drug trafficking, since González Valencia is cataloged as the financial head of the CJNG and was accused of Organized Crime and Operations with Resources of Illicit Origin (money laundering).

This drug cartel also suffered the arrests of Benjamín Moliendo, La Pantera, in September 2021, who was the main operator in Tabasco and Campeche; as well as José Antonio 'N', El Pizarro, leader in Veracruz, who was apprehended on November 28, 2021.

So far this year, federal and state forces have also arrested Carlos Pelayo, Don Carlos, who was the main operator in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, and Aldrín Miguel Jarquín, El Chaparrito, who controlled the drug market in Colima and that he had a search card issued by the United States government.

This latest arrest caused different drug blockades to be registered at strategic points in Colima in the early hours of March 14, where at least six cargo trucks were set on fire by armed men belonging to the CJNG.

Among the last eight arrests of capos and operators, the arrest made on March 14 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, of Juan Gerardo Treviño, El Huevo, leader of the Northeast Cartel, who operated in that entity but also in Coahuila and Nuevo Leon also stands out.

The Mexican authorities pointed out that due to the high level of danger of El Huevo, they had to transfer him by helicopter to Mexico City and later send him to Tijuana, Baja California, from where he was deported to the United States in less than 24 hours, since he has a warrant of capture for money laundering and drug trafficking in that country.

The two arrests that close the list were made against members of the Sinaloa Cartel. The first of them was that of Armando Batiz Camarena, El Inge, who was the leader of a synthetic drug production cell in Culiacán, Sinaloa. The second was that of Antonio Leonel Camacho, El Biden or El 300, who operated the plaza in Chihuahua.

  2. Thank you Sol for this post. It resonates what I've been saying all along. AMLO haters, it's okay. You can have a change of heart. It's okay to admit that maybe you were wrong. All we can do is 🤞🏼 cross our fingers and hope AMLO keeps his promise till the end of his term. Mexicans can not allow the next presidential candidates to be corrupted by certain media outlets, criminal organizations and corrupt politicians. Mexico is on a good path.

    3. 723 what makes him a puppet?

      708. Did you read the article?

    4. Totally agree. People have to do their homework before jumping on bashing band wagon. You got to remember, the corrupt politicians don't want this and they know how to run smear campaigns, and I'm sure they got that up and running and working overtime. Can't believe all the bs the media puts out against him with out looking into it. Look what they were trying to say about his son, dirty money and all that. But not too many people know that an independent audit was done by an american firm and everything checked out, no ilicit gains (look into it). Where was all the media then. The forces that be don't want the change that's in process, so they have to try to atleast try to distract him from any reform efforts or try to make him spend that time and energy on defending himself instead. But it seems he's starting to get more people to help him push his agenda. I wish him, fortune, luck and success. May he succeed in making Mexico better for Mexicans, especially the poor...

    5. ALMO is a puppet of the cartels and the military. Cienfuegos was let free in Mexico after a 2:week circus trial in Mexico, DESbhad avton of evidence on him.
Military controlled Puppet Obrador on cienfuegos freedom.

    6. 628 U.S tried to manipulate a situation and lost. AMLO said, "nah ah, not I'm my turf! I aint no gringo puppet!" He went ahead and made those files public to prove his point and Chivis shared them on here. There was not enough evidence to put Cienfuegos in jail. Was he guilty? More than likely, but as the new saying goes, "if the glove don't fit, you must aquit!" Read through all 800+ pages and tell us what you find. I'll wait.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    7. 1:39 there's actual evidence of text from CDS and cienfuegos

    8. 1:39 the US presedent aka the Unpresidented Disgrace sent Cienpedos back to México to be tried, but the US kept the EVIDENCE, EVERYBODY PLAYED POSSUM FOR CIENPEDOS, WHY???

    9. 318 maybe, but it wasn't enough. Now if you truly believe he was guilty you should provide the articles or evidence or some links. We'd all greatly appreciate it.

    10. 1023 I honestly don't know why. All I can do is speculate. If I had to take a wild guess I'd say it was because the U.S or some of their representatives are guilty of some of the same crimes committed by Cienfuegos... If the U.S chose to withdraw the hard evidence I'm guessing it's because some of that evidence would put U.S officials in a jam. One thing is clear, the files the U.S handed over to AMLO was not enough because he was more than happy to make those records public. I remember watching that mañanera and the look on AMLO's face was priceless. Almost as if he was mocking them... What's your take SIR?

    11. 8:26 Before the mañanera and before the US sent Cienpedos back to México, AMLO commented about Cienpedos arrest, it was very different after Cienpedos got acquitted by mexican prostiturers, giniral Salvador cienpedos has come a long way since his mommy was selling jaletinas on a Mexico city corner to support cienpedorro's ass..

  4. Good job AMLO you have 100,000 more capos to catch all over 🇲🇽 and thousands more in line to be the next boss..
Realistically, it's not even AMLO it's the U.S.A that wants to wash their hands and act like it's Mexico fault for the drug pandemic in USA..
They can catch a million capos but it's not going to change a got damn thing..

They just keep getting replaced and more cartels are born because after they catch a capo from a cartel the cartel splits in half. Two groups fighting each other and the result is MORE CARYELS AND MORE VIOLENCE IN NEXICO...

just look at tamaulipas, it started with one cartel. They caught gullen "El mataamigos" and the zetas went independent from golfos. They kept catching zetas and golfo leaders and now there's around 6 golfo cells fighting for control against onother zetas cells all going at it.

Look what happened after they caught El chapo.. now CDS is fighting each other mayos against chapitos. Before that it was against the damasos who most got killed off..

You silly rabbits 🐇 can act like catching Mexican capos is a good thing but it's really not.

If government REALLY wanted to get rid of drugs it would go after the drugs and not the capos who just keep getting replaced.
Start burning all the cocaine fields in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia.
Actually look and confiscate ALl the chemicals that come from China in Lazaro Cardenas and Colima, or better yet prevent them from reaching Mexico 🇲🇽...
Bit of course it's just a dog and pony show... WAR ON DRUGS IS A JOKE

  6. If you follow AMLO and the way he's handled his time in office you'd agree that he's a genius. He's utilized every resource available in every way possible. No wonder his approval rating amongst world leaders ranks 2nd in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if at any point during his term in office he ties for 1st. Better than Biden on any day. Made Trump retract his statement about Mexico building that wall and paying for it.

Furthermore 6:09 is using capitals properly where needed... it's not working if you're trying to belittle him, but good try.
