Crisis In The 'Kitchen'; Lack Of Inputs Reduces The Production Of Synthetic Drugs In Culiacán

 "Ivan" for Borderland Beat

The situation seems unlikely, but it is real: a couple of crucial ingredients for the production of synthetic drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine, have been in short supply for weeks, causing the "cooks" of these drugs linked to the Sinaloa Cartel to limit their production.

"We have four or five weeks that certain types of ingredients do not arrive, and that has caused us to have the 'kitchens' stop, without us knowing when we are going to resume," said a fentanyl cook who operates for the Zambada faction, and who He agreed to talk to Ríodoce about that situation.

The information was corroborated by another "cook", who claimed to be independent, but agreed that the lack of chemicals is at least four weeks old, and that it could have its origin in how difficult it is for them to get the products from their contacts. in China.

“It is not precursors that we need, those do continue to arrive, what the bosses are struggling to obtain are chemicals such as acetic anhydride and propionyl chloride; without those two chemicals nothing can be done”, burst the “cook”.

Dismayed, the drug “cook” makes the following analogy: It is as if you wanted to make tortillas and you have the flour, and the griddle, and the gas or the firewood, but you don't have the water. You know that without water you will not be able to do anything, even when you have everything else.

The United States Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) said it would not comment on the matter, without clarifying whether it was true or not, what the drug chefs said.

If it is real, and according to the calculations of the drug chefs, it will be a matter of a few weeks for this type of drug to become scarce in the United States, and it would be unprecedented, since not even during the pandemic did a similar situation arise.

“It was different, because when the borders were closed due to the pandemic, rearrangements had to be made and it was a matter of time for mules of gringo origin to pass the drug in cars, now there will be no drug to pass because it is simply not being produced ”, said the cook linked to the Zambada faction.

In a tour made by one of the narco-laboratories where this weekly had access, it was possible to observe the abandonment of the place due to lack of supplies.

“And it's not that the bosses are no longer asking us for a product, they do ask us, but if we can't do it because of those ingredients, what do we do? We can do nothing, just wait for the bosses to move and get those ingredients, who knows where, to produce them, otherwise we don't know what's going to happen”, observed the “chef” concerned.

According to the annual report of the DEA, in 2021, the majority of precursors and chemicals for the production of synthetic drugs come from China and Germany, and the belief of drug traffickers and producers is that the United States government threatened pharmaceutical companies. such as Bayer, and Sinopharm, Chongqing Tong Jun Ge Big Drugstore, China Nepstar Drugstore and Guangdong Da ShenLin Drugstore, to regulate the production of certain chemicals, in a new attempt to stop the production and eventual trafficking of illegal synthetic drugs, such as fentanyl, which from June 2020 to June 2021, killed more than 100,000 addicts in the United States.

The lack of chemicals coincides with a series of seizures made by the Mexican government that, led by DEA informants, managed to seize 3,907 kilos of solid methamphetamine and 2,408 kilos of liquid drugs, at the Carboneras ranch at the end of last January, and two months earlier they had seized 118 kilos of fentanyl in Culiacán.

“The only thing I can say is that those drugs are going to go up; if a few months ago producing a kilo of methamphetamine cost 200 dollars, now it is going to triple, if these products arrive, which must arrive, because the truth is that there is a lot of money involved in this business, ”observed the cook.

  2. It's ridiculous how Mexico and the U.S depend so much on China fir products. Pretty much everything comes from China.

But as far as Meth drugs not being able to be produced is good new to me. But it is strange.
Now the gangs will have to kidnap and steal to make up for their losses

    1. Unknown where have you been???
Why are you again to call the gangs Cartels.
Cartels have been resorting to all types of crime.

      Drug Sales
      Kidnapping
      Extortion
      Train theft
      Sex trafficking
      Body Organs
      Home property theft
      Avacado theft

So if one of them temporarily dries up they still got money coming in.

  3. Super interesting, but I question if this is a matter of lacking chemicals only. I keep hearing how there is a glut of meth in much of the US and prices are so incredibly cheap. No idea, as I'm not familiar with the trade etc. It seems more likely this could be a ruse to inflate profits and price of product. Similar how news outlets claimed Covid effected drug quantities when in reality the Corporation had plenty of product but used Covid as a reason to raise prices.
This is going to send me down a 3hr internet search rabbit hole.
Anyone else have ideas, or is this supposed meth drought really a lack of chemicals?

    2. Ms. H, I have several theories:
      1. All ports of entry have been taken over by the military making it harder for criminals.
      2. There is a dispute between criminal groups over some ports like Guaymas and Manzanillo.
      3. COVID delays
      4. As of this year AMLOs government really amped up raids and confrontations. Not that they had stopped at anytime but it seems like BB is putting out a lot more articles.
The first link provides information regarding the results of the governments efforts for combating crime.

      https://youtu.be/gG8aTRyeUcY

The rest of the links are BB articles detailing detentions and drug seizures that affect availability and flow of drugs and ingredients. It's pretty much 3 weeks worth of headlines relating to what I mentioned but you get the idea.

      Obradors lawyer in the house.
You fool precursor drugs still getting in through the ports, even though military is present.
If curupt officials connected to Obrador are getting bribed, then precursor chemicals from China make it in.

I've been following the so called "war on drugs" since the beginning and it has gotten worse.
Mexican people are getting more hooked and cartels are selling more in Mexico than before.

And you already know cartels flooded every American city and caused for more junkies and homeless than ever before.

11:48 Of course there's big catches EVERY year but MAJORITY make it through.
What do you think k happens with all those drugs that get confiscated?
They sell it back to cartels genius!! 😆

  5. The entire system is corrupt. I believe there are some who sincerely want to change the Narco State status, but the rot has seeped through every layer of authority, and we all know what happens to them (who fight the Narco states) and this machine is way too strong for a handful of change makers to get traction. It seems like AMLO is trying and has inherited a system that is irreversibly fucked although he didn't become president with clean hands himself, if he did, well...he would have been killed 20yrs ago. But, AMLO isn't a Calderone and Nieto who essentially killed any resemblance of a solid country or state govt. It's too late now.I'm not an expert blah blah blah.
I was reading an interview by a Process Worker who works in the labs and is a cooker. He said the raids are set up far on advance with the cartel higher ups. All of the garbage pressed fent or messed up batches of meth that are too low quality get saved for these shitty raids so The Federales have something to post for pictures. The guy went on to say that they have hundreds of willing 'testers' and they have to throw out crappy batches. Ok, long, rambling post, but you get the gist.

    4. 30 for 3.5 in riverside county 180 for an oz it gets cheaper the more you buy .Lots of crap going around because of the poor quality of mex meth they make it with p2p which produces 2 types of meth meth-l and meth-d meth-l is crap meth-d is the good stuff and even though meth made with p2p is say 98% pure its still 50/50 meth-l and meth-d the cooks could take it a step further and pull the meth-l out but it takes another acid and is kinda complicated so they just leave it in which causes you to feel like shit and has a bunch of other negative effects . when meth was made with psuedoephederine it produced only meth-d qhich was a lot better then what they flood our streets with now . The D stands for Desoxyn which you can get from a doctor for adhd little 10mg pills which is the best shit out there it blows adderall out of the water since adderall is dextro amphetamine where as Desoxyn is pure methamphetamine made by a legit pharmaceutical company .
