Morelia, Michoacán: An Anonymous Gunman Takes Out His Opponent

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

A young male is walking down the street sometime during the evening in the city of Morelia. As he strolls forward utterly oblivious to his surroundings and what’s about to happen.

An armed man walks towards him. Without warning the determined gunman lunges forward with a gun in his hand and fires away indiscriminately.

The gun is quickly emptied of all its rounds. While the victim thrashes about violently on the street bleeding out profusely. For good measure the merciless assassin exchanges his expended magazine for a fresh one.

The armed misanthrope has successfully achieved his retribution inside the Mexican underworld through the use of a warm gun.

    1. Reminds me of the Clint Eastwood Western movies, where they would shoot it out and whomever died, that was it, no arrests, no jail time.

    2. Just yesterday I was watching an episode of the first 48 about a case in Tulsa Oklahoma. Two males killed a guy because they believed he will had money and drugs. They only got 12 dollars and a small sack of weed. So yeah. Life is cheap.

    4. 12:49 how do you know that? The victim might have been a high ranking government official's relative. Or maybe with good fortune Morelia might have some people who are committed to fulfilling their duties. Believe it or not, they're out there.

  7. Cartels sre full of stupid people. One cannot shoot well even point blank. The other continues to move provoking more bullets. The other stops to hide his gun in his boot right there. Even elblogdelnarco is symbolic of the ineptness. You cannot reason with idiocy, ignorance & stupidity.

  9. I take it him flailing his legs like that after getting shot the first couple times is the reason the the gunman reloaded and kept shooting. I know most likely the first shot to the head would most likely have proved fatal. I've heard plenty of stories of people being shot repeatedly and only end up surviving because they played dead, making the gunman flee the scene without making sure they were in fact dead. That has to be a very scary decision to make at a moment like that. Do you play dead or take your chances and try your best to get away whether your full of bullet holes ..? I honestly don't think I could play dead ,not knowing if the gunman is set on pumping a few rounds into my head regardless if I play dead or not.
