Abducted Minor Found Dead in Tlajomulco, Jalisco

 "Ivan" for Borderland Beat

David Salomón Puertos, father of 16 year old Eduardo, says a final goodbye to his son following the funeral.

72 hours after being abducted by armed men from his home, a 16 year old boy was found dead in a property with signs of cartel activity.

On Friday, February 4, 2022, 16 year old Eduardo Salomón was at home in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, babysitting his four siblings (1 ½, 3, 8, and 11 years old) while his parents were at work.

Vehicles pulled up to the home and armed men in hoods went to the residence. Eduard, alerted to their presence, hid his siblings in a bathroom and called his father, who later reported the sounds of the door being broken and one of the subjects yelling at Eduardo to get on the floor. Thereafter, the father heard a gunshot and Eduardo saying “help papa” as he was being beaten by the perpetrators before the call ended.

Reports have surfaced that the suspects most likely went to the wrong house and had intended to abduct an individual residing in the house behind theirs.

Upon his disappearance being reported, Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office began search operations and on Saturday his parents, relatives, friends, and neighbors took to the streets with poster boards trying to drum up help or information from local citizens.

On Sunday, authorities were able to find the vehicles involved in his abduction at a property in the northwest part of Tlajomulco.

As authorities searched the property, they found tactical vests, various blunt and sharp objects of relevance, and the bodies of two individuals, that of Eduardo and a currently unidentified person.

A rally demanding justice took place on Tuesday morning, reaching Jalisco Governor Enrique Alfaro’s residence, who has announced that a suspect in the case has been arrested.

  1. Anything goes in Mexico. How interesting they know the cartel that did it, but wouldn't say the name. Furthermore Jalisco governor said a suspect has been arrested, more likely a buracho dragged out of the street, we all know Mexico really solves Homicides. Sad article to read.

False, crimes happen in mexico just like they do in the U.S. You're on a blog that magnifies the issues.

"How interesting they know the cartel that did it but wouldn't say the name."
False again. We don't know what cartel did it. That area is disputed by nueva plaza ot what's left of it and CJNG. The article doesn't mention anything of a cartulina or cartel claiming the homicides.

"Furthermore Jalisco governor said a suspect has been arrested, more likely a buracho dragged out of the street.."
False again, we don't know if the guy was a drunk dragged off the street. 747 gives his opinion as if he knows what he's talking about. He's not even mexican. So if he can have an opinion on the article than I don't see why I shouldn't be able to give my opinion on him. Cyberbullying! HA, toughen up.

    1. Lol. Thats all it is some cjng cheerleaders pretending to be tough because they know someone selling meth with an old 9mm in a chinese motorcycle and a radio. We all know who did , we may not know the reason but it doesn’t really matter as he was just a 16 year old boy , I mean come on. I thought they dont kill innocent people, yet they kidnap boys and girls everyday. Yeah the US may not be free of violence but bs like that will no be tolerated over here plus I sleep really good with my handgun at arms reach just in case. There really isn’t a debate on Mexico being like the wild west, I know its a tough pill to swallow but lets admit it nobody feels safe in Mexico anymore.
