Ensenada, Baja California: Javier Patiño Garibay Shot Dead While Resisting His Kidnapping

In Ensenada, Baja California, a man was killed while resisting being kidnapped by two subjects in the parking lot of a wholesale grocery store.

Azucena Uresti: In Ensenada, Baja California a man was murdered when he resisted being kidnapped by 2 subjects in a parking lot. The attackers fled and nothing is known about them.

Male Reporter: Thus, in broad daylight, a man in between his 40s and 50s was killed by 4 gunshots after resisting a kidnapping in the parking lot of the Mayorista Mercado in Ensenada, Baja California.

It was 12:55 p.m. on Sunday, November 8 when a security camera captured the entry of a pick up truck. Two subjects got out of the unit, one of them from the passenger side who was dressed in black covered with a ski mask and carrying a pistol intercepts the victim who was leaving the place walking.

Immediately, his accomplice comes down from the unit, intervenes and the struggle begins. All this before the gaze of some people. The man struggles against the 2 subjects. They hit him and try to get him into the vehicle.

But when one of the criminals could not subdue him, he shot him in the head and the victim fell to the ground. Wherein he was finished off with 3 more gunshots. Immediately the aggressors get into the truck and when reversing they run over their victim.

The attackers left the business located on 3rd Street between Gastélum and Miramar in the Zona Centro neighborhood. And after the murder, the State Prosecutor's Office investigates the motive for the crime and the whereabouts of the aggressors.

Azucena Uresti: The State Prosecutor's Office reported that the murdered man was identified as Javier Patiño Garibay originally from Michoacán. According to the initial investigations he had been imprisoned before for being allegedly responsible for the crime of injuries.

Nothing is known about the aggressors. And so far no one has claimed the body of this man who is currently at the Forensic Medical Service facility in the port of Ensenada.

    Them garibay family been switching too many cartels. At leat the main ones in mexicali, first CAF, then CDS, then CJNG and now chapitos.. well, RIP...

      No where in the article does it state, they took his shirt, not his truck. Easy targets citizens of Mexico. The victim was unarmed, had he been he could have blasted them away.

    Can't even go to the store in broad daylight, unfortunately none of the bystanders had guns to kill the kidnappers. It's like a cattle, they are all doomed until, it's there turn to be taken.
