Alfredo Beltrán Guzmán "El Mochomito" Released from Prison After 5 Years

"Socalj" for Borderland Beat

In 2016, Jesús Alfredo Beltrán Guzmán “Mochomito”, was accused of having kidnapped the children of “El Chapo” Guzmán and attacking his mother's home.

Five years after his capture in Zapopan, Jalisco as reported by Borderland Beat, Jesús Alfredo Beltrán Guzmán, alias "El Mochomito" Joaquín el Chapo Guzmán's nephew and son of Alfredo Beltrán Leyva - regained his freedom.

The 29-year-old drug trafficker, accused of having kidnapped his cousins Iván Archivaldo and Alfredo Guzmán, sons of the founder of the Sinaloa Cartel, in August 2016 left the Jalisco Metropolitan Prison at dawn on Thursday, September 2. Only a few hours after the investigations of the Jalisco State Commission for Human Rights (CEDHJ) on the transfer of women from the female prison to “coexist” in men's prisons were released.

This is stated by the weekly Zeta Tijuana, which points out that judicial sources warned that the CEDHJ reports would only be a smokescreen to hide the departure of the junior narco.

"El Mochomito" was part of the leaders who exercised the so-called self-government in the prison complex. Beltrán Guzmán was arrested in December 2016 along with four other people, in Zapopan. He was charged with federal crimes, for which he received a 10-year sentence, of which he only served five as his sentence was annulled in 2019 as reported by Borderland Beat.

He is the son of Patricia Guzmán Núñez, the niece of Chapo Guzmán. and Alfredo Beltrán Leyva "El Mochomo" main leader of the Beltrán Leyva cartel, enemies of the Sinaloa criminal organization.

His father was detained in Culiacán, Sinaloa, in 2008 by elite elements of the Mexican Army. Six years later, he was extradited to the United States, where he faces charges in the District of Columbia Court for importing tons of cocaine and methamphetamine into the United States since the early 1990s.

The Beltrán Leyva organization made up of brothers Arturo, Alfredo, Héctor, and Carlos - all arrested or killed - are originally from the northern state of Sinaloa and began their criminal career alongside Joaquín Guzmán Loera. At first, they were the armed wing of the Sinaloa Cartel and only had criminal cells in Sonora and Guerrero, but later they spread to other areas of the country, consolidating a strong domain.

In 2008, when Mexican authorities arrested El Mochomo, his brothers accused Chapo Guzmán of treason and began a never-ending battle. The last of the brothers to be detained was Héctor Beltrán Leyva, on October 10, 2014, in a restaurant in San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato.

The capture and dejection of its main leaders caused a rearrangement in the organization. Then, the Mexican authorities assured that Alfredo's eldest son, El Mochomito, was the head of the cartel and the cause of the violence in the so-called Golden Triangle - which includes the entities of Sinaloa, Durango, and Chihuahua.

He was also pointed out as the person responsible for attacking the community of La Tuna, in the municipality of Badiraguato, the land of El Chapo. According to local media, in June 2016, a command of more than 50 men attacked the house of María Consuelo Loera Pérez, mother of the Sinaloan leader as reported by Borderland Beat. But it was not the only attack, other communities were also affected, which caused dozens of residents, including Consuelo Loera, to flee the mountainous area.

  3. The fact is If his country wasn’t neighbors with the biggest drug consumer base in the world he would be a dirt farmer or a petty thief. These guys are nuclear physicists! They are simple petty criminals that have the USA as neighbors. With that being said, as far as the drug lords that I’m aware of in history. I have to say that mencho will go down as the greatest drug lord criminal in history up to this point. His security apparatus is second to none I’m guessing. Concerning his security His firepower is unmatched. I don’t believe mencho will ever be caught or killed. The only way would be somebody right next to him betrays him or some suicidal hit man who is part of his security.

  7. At 4 pm

The interesting thing is that as long as a person has money. They will always have some individuals that will be willing to work with/for them.
Think about it. You know someone that has paper and can make some things happen that you might want to do.

The big question and problem is............. Will they be loyal or not screw you at some point, somehow🤔🤔.........
