Matamoros, Tamaulipas: Armed Confrontations Throughout City This Past Tuesday

Matamoros records a violent day with shootings in various parts of the city, in which it transpires that they have left a police officer dead

Since 8:00 am on Tuesday, shootings have been registered in different sectors of the city, which have left an unofficial balance of a dead state policeman.

The violent day began on Avenida del Niño to the south when a convoy of state agents ran into alleged criminals.

Later, in Colonia Jardines de San Felipe, another confrontation was reported between elements of the State Police and gunmen.

Minutes later at 8:40 a.m., a persecution was recorded on Avenida Diagonale Cuauhtémoc and Calle 15, where several alleged criminals were arrested.

On Avenida 12 de Marzo, to the west of the city, there was another confrontation that would have left a state policeman deceased.

The authorities have not released an official balance of the clashes.

  2. No law in Mexico. About like Defund police. There ain't real honest police. Can't blame them, low pay, dangerous job, and u better do what the politicians who r the Cartel say.
