At an inspection point of the Cordova International Bridge of the Americas in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, elements of the National Guard in coordination with personnel of the General Customs Administration, arrested a U.S. citizen carrying 217,35 US dollars, without declaring before customs.
When carrying out security inspections at that border crossing, a car was located entering Mexico from the United States, which had had a customs check.
Under one of the seats and in the glove box they found three plastic bags containing banknotes of different denominations.
Since the legal origin of the foreign currency was not officially declared, the driver was read the Booklet of Rights Assisting Persons in Detention, the National Registry of Detentions was filled out and together with the unit and the foreign currency were made available to the Attorney General's Office in the entity to determine their legal status.
The National Guard and the General Customs Administration endorse their commitment to add their operational capacities to comply with the projects implemented by the Government of Mexico to guarantee the peace and security of Mexicans and those who transit in the national territory.
A US citizen busted for bringing money to Mexico. Some Cartel boss is going to be angry, that money goes into thier system to pay bribes to curupt officials, for more illegal weapons, ammo and to pay sicarios.
